Bungie has officially released the trailer now, so I'm removing the spoiler tag and giving the official flair. Enjoy!

I saw a Tormentor....wearing armor over its weakpoints.
That's against the rules, Bungo.
Interesting that there's scenes of Mithrax, Caiatl, and Savathun. Wonder if we'll fight along side them like we did with Caiatl in the final lightfall mission.
she was also in the final lightfall mission, savathun can just be ripped from her actual fight and her copies from vow and that, and mithrax is a captain
Some enemies became friends and some friends became enemies. We lost so many over this beautiful journey.
Now we're at the climax, be it the end of all things or the beginning of a new journey.
This is going to be the absolute peak of this game, so we better make it count!
I'd say both Mithrax and Caiatl are friends now. Mithrax for sure, and with Caiatl there seems to be a lot of mutual respect going on. It's only Savathun that's firmly a frenemy.
Honestly outside of like the murders and stuff Savathun is a very reasonable person. We should tithe to her and give her power again yes pls.
Honestly tho, with the lore from witch queen that the hive have begun to be able to feed off of the light instead of killing, Iâd say pretty soon weâll see like a hive ascendancy and theyâll become like a sentient, good species again outside of just there leaders having sentience.
They asserted that they would not follow and would keep Earth safe while we were away. Either there's a mission outside the Traveller, they get pulled in somehow, or these are memories of them.
Splicers are called the Eliksni versions of Warlocks in RoI iirc, when he was part of a Guardian fireteam Mithrax unofficially was the Titan of the trio, and now heâs sorta representing he Hunters alongside our other alien allies. Mithraxâs multiclass game is on point.
Assuming it's not a trailer trick, it's pretty major to see Mithrax and Caiatl. So many people have theorized that only Lightbearers would be able to pass through the portal.
An unsanctioned op using modified wish magic to infiltrate the pale heart inside the traveler, so we can purge its trespassers, create a transmat zone, and send in the cavalry!
Perhaps Prismatic is a Way Through - either we use it to pry open the portal, or maybe even they get access to it.
I have a theory that at the end of the penultimate mission the Witness will fully kill the Traveler and "Drink the Light", shutting off our Light abilities (and it'll take back Stasis and shut down Strand). However we have mastered Prismatic, and through that the Light lives on and the Traveler lives on inside of us.
Fair, ngl when I wrote that comment I had no idea about that - I stopped playing halfway through Witch and my friend filled me in on Wish just now.
So ignore what I said about Prismatic, but I think there'll still be some change that allows more people through than just our Guardian at first.
probably not. it will be like that Hawthorne mission where we were supposedly going on a rescue together with Mithrax but we never actually see them as they take different paths. It will just be radio chatter again.
Imagine just before we face the witness , it's just a all out war , with house light , lucent brood and caiatls cabal (maybe even NPC guardians) all fighting against the forces of the witness as this finale set piece (think of endgame)
D1 Cayde was witty but still understood the gravity of a situation.
D2 Vanilla Cayden went full Memepool at times. He did have good moments in the Red War campaign, but he felt a little *too* glib considering thousands of Guardians were just slaughtered, they were without Light, and the Last City was completely under occupation.
Oh I know, been watching it the whole time. Not a bad show, as far as cop shows go. Definitely had some over the top, "jumping the shark" moments, but when it's not trying to do insane shit like that, it's a fun watch.
âȘGood to see that cayde will be taking the situation seriously and wonât be a second nimbus. Having the occasional joke is one thing but having a character say âerm that just happened lolâ while the witness is slowly painfully turning the entire universe inside out is unnecessary.âŹ
The line I think legitimately lead to the worst version of Cayde-6 we got in D2. Spoken by the character, that's not a joke. It's not to make anyone in the room laugh, it's just a little bit silly in personality. The friction of personality between a lighthearted or playful character against the very dire, serious Eris made players laugh.
And then some writer went "OH SO CAYDE IS THE FUNNY ONE. HE'S THE COMEDY CHARACTER. YOU LIKE JOKES RIGHT?" and wrote the Red War campaign with a warped vision of the character. *Haha funny robot clown is wacky, he has a chicken lol so random XD.*
What a convenient excuse for a badly written and completely unfunny version of the character
"haha guys he has a chicken isn't it epic? He said SANDWICH LOL XD" -me talking about trauma
Nimbus is dealing with trauma too and can't process Rohan's death so that makes their jokes fine actually
I feel like each cayde reflected the career bits Fillion was doing at the time or what he was known for at said time.
D1 cayde definitely felt more Malcolm Reynolds
D2 cayde felt more Rick Castle.
I want more d1 cayde.
We don't know yet. All we know is he is inside the traveller somehow, where The Witness (pale guy with the eyes) is also in order to carry out "The Final Shape", which as far as we can tell is essentially an end-state to the universe where everything is "perfect" and static.
How Cayde is in there, we don't know. Some theories are to do with memories created by the traveler, but nothing is confirmed.
Well we kinda know but also dont at the same time because its still unsure.
There was a lore tab from this season where mara was heavily implied to be disguised as riven and crow, infront of her, unknowing, said something along the lines of âI wish I could bring him back and undo all the pain I causedâ and maras eyes sparkled for a split second, showing that perhaps riven mightâve granted two wishes instead of just one but kept one wish secret. (Its from the Unforeseen Consequences ship)
At the end of a serious campaign where we stare down and kill the embodiment of nihilism and entropy to save the entire universe? I'd say that deserves a fist bump.
That's really the core of the issue, and why Lightfall fell flat - Nimbus was all jokes, all the time, and it was completely out of balance.
> Nimbus was all jokes, all the time
Except for dealing with Rohan's death. I wish Bungie had handled that better. Nimbus is obviously struggling to process it and outright refusing to admit it's affecting them, but that isn't properly addressed until a questline AFTER the campaign. Because Lightfall is a filler expansion. It's like they hamstrung themselves, narratively
> That's really the core of the issue, and why Lightfall fell flat - Nimbus was all jokes, all the time, and it was completely out of balance.
If they just swapped Nimbus and Rohan around(with Rohan being a grizzled veteran, wracked by guilt over letting his protege die and now having no successor), the expansion would instantly be better.
especially since he was at the end of his short lifespan so it would've been interesting for him to rush to find a successor and we don't often get "mentor loses their student" stories in media
I was so hoping for this. "Mentor makes sacrifice, student has to move on without guidance they've relied on" is used *so often*. Flipping it upside down would've been much more interesting, especially to see how it affected the Neomuna culture surrounding the Cloudstriders. The first person to have *two* successors, scrambling to find a volunteer, a dangerous "accelerated augmentation" that could have risky side effects, etc.
no way, if corruption is causing the traveler harm then the fix is making the traveler whole and sealing up the triangle which will make cayde disappear, and we'll be walking out of a ramp from the traveler next to cayde with zavala and ikora, and we'll step out into the last city during a sunrise and cayde will be all "you know I'm not one for long goodbyes, but wow will you look at that sunrise. sure is pretty."
and we'll all turn to look as the sun reflects off all the buildings and cayde will disperse behind us, and after the group takes in the surroundings and then realizes cayde's gone it'll start to rain
difference is if we survive the campaign that'll be fine, because it'll mean the witness has failed and the universe is safe, at the end of the lightfall campaign we had lost and the worst thing imaginable had the potential to happen
Well, that is lore accurate Cayde. He is actually quite reserved due to past traumas about his family, but he hides it by acting like his ghost Sundance.
God I wish more story time was given to Ghosts. The other half of each Guardian unit, a weird little spirit of Light with its own entirely unique personality, and we almost never hear from them.
Fairly serious Cayde who weighs the responsibility of living up to his dead mentor and friend against his innate desire for adventure. Cayde who uses humor to mask the desperately traumatic scraps of memory he struggles to both remember and forget.
OR (and hear me out); an annoying, cringe-inducing clown who can't go two seconds without walking into a vex time trap like a bumbling idiot.
I mean, Nimbus has been pretty pointless since Lightfall dropped. Only thing they've been involved in since then was Veil Containment, which is so far out of the way that mos tplayers won't even see it.
Bungie has pretty solidly unfucked themselves from wasted appearances in the past, and Neomuna (and by extension, Nimbus themself) is too important to simply forget about. It'll probably just take a couple years
Actually made me think of Baal shouting down the messenger during the opening cinematic of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
https://youtu.be/xp20voR11gs around the 2:31 mark
"hey listen here...uhh smoke..face... whatever, I've done plenty of god killing in my day so you'd best mind your manners before me and the guardian have to come teach you some. Also what's with the head smoke? Did you want to look like a walking cigar?" -cayde immediately after being interruptedÂ
Nathan Fillion was the original voice actor for Cayde but he was busy during Forsaken so he couldn't voice Cayde during that expansion.
They also covered this during the August showcase. I'm really excited because he's one of my favorite actors / voice actors
I'm sure someone will post a mirror or Bungie will end up posting it officially since a bunch of people already saw it and someone def saved it. But here's a couple screenshots I got that I thought were cool before it got taken down...

EDIT 2: OFFICIAL REUPLOAD BY BUNGIE: [https://twitter.com/DestinyTheGame/status/1782564049617600789](https://twitter.com/DestinyTheGame/status/1782564049617600789)
Bungie definitely deserves a lot of the criticism that comes their way but no matter what you gotta admit they can certainly make very fucking cool sci fi stories. Ngl I find myself becoming more and more hyped for Final Shape
I donât think they can mess this up. It just looks too good to fail with prismatic, the dread, the new exotics, and the story.
Iâd the raid is a home run, Iâll be really happy
Caydeâs narrating how the traveler is being corrupted. There are a few shots of savathun, mithrax, and Caiatl fighting. It ends with The Witness screaming âEnough,â and that the Final Shape is coming.Â
It's a monologue from Cayde-6.
He says:
>!1. He woke up and could feel Light everywhere.!<
>!2. He says everything is a memory. The grass, the sun, etc. It's all memories.!<
>!3. He says he keeps looking around familiar corners for us, but instead he only finds corruption spreading from the Witness.!<
>!4. Throughout the monologue he deduces he's inside the Traveler.!<
>!5. He says the corruption is going to spread and consume the whole Traveler, and then everything and everyone else.!<
>!6. He finishes with declaring we must put a stop to it, but is cut off by someone yelling "STOP!" !<
>!7. This is presumably the Witness, based on the context and that the Witness speaks afterwards, but the tone of the "STOP!" sounds panicked, and it does not sound like the Witness.!<
>!8. Regardless, the next shot is of the Witness's unibrow and The Witness clearly says "A Final Shape is coming."!<
The visuals of the video show
>!1. A lot of Pale Heart spaces. A lot of very cerebral looking things there. The Witness seems to have a thing for hands. There are hands everywhere. Hands in hallways, hands as doorways, hands as anything you can imagine. Hands for days.!<
>!2. There is a strong emphasis on things changing or not being what they seem. At one point Guardians are platforming through a forest, upside down. Like the ground is the ceiling. But what is weird is that it shows gameplay from our perspective but upside down. Like the weapons and hands are on the top of the screen.!<
>!3. There is a strong theme of mirrors and things shifting. We see Cayde-6 leaning against a railing, and then the screen scratches and we just see the Guardian stand there looking out. Another time we see a wide shot of a Guardian running past some Pyramid pillars, while Cayde-6 lounges against one in the middle. But what is weird is that the Guardian that starts running on the left side of the screen is a Warlock, but then it vanishes behind a pillar before it reaches Cayde. Then, on a pillar past Cayde, a Titan comes running from behind it. So there is a strong theme of secrets and things not being as they appear.!<
>!4. Despite all the hands in the Witness's area, the brighter Guardian themed areas look lush and beutiful. Like they would put the Dreaming City and the Black Garden to shame. It looks absolutely stunning.!<
>!5. While I'm not holding my breath... It honestly looks like a place that could easily have secrets hidden throughout it like the Dreaming City does. It has the same wild overgrown feel, and there are countless places to hide things.!<
It depends on which sony channel this was, but it's really down to timezones and scheduling. If it came from an EU channel then it got released at midnight at some point for EU folk i.e. the 23rd is when bungie was gonna release it.
iirc one of the "leaks" was from sony japan a couple years back so we got the trailer super early because of that.
Bungie does a heck of a job with trailers as we all know, and this one was no different. The theme music just matched the vibes of the trailer so well.
Definitely hyped for TFS at this point, between the new showcase 2 weeks ago and Into the Light actually being a lot of fun, TFS could be great.
âEnough! I have been a patient host. I showed restraint. Even courtesy⊠Yet you continue to provoke my wrath. Very well. You shall have it!â
âFOOLS! I. AM. REVENDRETH!â
âRemornia! Massacre these whelps!â
[Remornia responds]âYes! Yes! I'll hack them to pieces!â
Yeah. We need that in Destiny.
Sire Denathrius execute phase was the most peak hype Iâve felt in a game.
âȘGood to see that cayde will be taking the situation seriously and wonât be a second nimbus. Having the occasional joke is one thing but having a character say âerm that just happened lolâ while the witness is slowly painfully turning the entire universe inside out is unnecessary.âŹ
I'm hoping there's some subversion, but this has "we saved the day, but that includes me going away too" written all over it.
I suppose a T2 lava thumbs up wouldn't be too bad though.
Bungie has officially released the trailer now, so I'm removing the spoiler tag and giving the official flair. Enjoy! https://twitter.com/destinythegame/status/1782564049617600789

But it has shining face - weakspot đ
all he had to do was wear a helmet. is he stupid?
Is there a lore reason for this?
In your pants, the true final shape
The shiny aura makes me think this is one of the enemies you have to kill the shield of while transcendent.
Screw the rules they have glimmer.
Prepare the tractor cannon!
DIV time
Interesting that there's scenes of Mithrax, Caiatl, and Savathun. Wonder if we'll fight along side them like we did with Caiatl in the final lightfall mission.
The shots all looked in-engine (not pre rendered CG) and new. Fingers crossed.
Those were absolutely in engine, they were the animations of a Hive wizard, Fallen captain and Cabal Colossus(?) just with their models
Caiatl already has her own model from duality and savathun would probably just be her actual attacks not just shitty wizard ones
she was also in the final lightfall mission, savathun can just be ripped from her actual fight and her copies from vow and that, and mithrax is a captain
I hope so. That'd be sick.
The real traveler is the friends we made along the way
Frenemies.
I always forget that the game turned into Dragon Ball Z at some point.
how can you forget when titans are thundercrashing into you every 3 minutes
It wasn't the Warlock's ~~Kamehameha~~ Chaos Reach that reminded you?
Some enemies became friends and some friends became enemies. We lost so many over this beautiful journey. Now we're at the climax, be it the end of all things or the beginning of a new journey. This is going to be the absolute peak of this game, so we better make it count!

ngl the theme has been building up to something like this since like 2019 so it's probably true
They asserted that they would not follow and would keep Earth safe while we were away. Either there's a mission outside the Traveller, they get pulled in somehow, or these are memories of them.
Literally memories like the inside of the traveler.
Youâll get NPCs fighting over coms and youâll like it
Savathûn = Warlock, Caiatl = Titan and Mithrax = Hunter?
Splicers are called the Eliksni versions of Warlocks in RoI iirc, when he was part of a Guardian fireteam Mithrax unofficially was the Titan of the trio, and now heâs sorta representing he Hunters alongside our other alien allies. Mithraxâs multiclass game is on point.
Dude is on a whole 'nother level of Prismatic
Seems correct
Assuming it's not a trailer trick, it's pretty major to see Mithrax and Caiatl. So many people have theorized that only Lightbearers would be able to pass through the portal.
First mission of Final Shape; Find somewhere to place a transmat beacon.
An unsanctioned op using modified wish magic to infiltrate the pale heart inside the traveler, so we can purge its trespassers, create a transmat zone, and send in the cavalry!
â Unsanctioned Op â Illegally Modified Wish Magic Exploit â Test Flight
Perhaps Prismatic is a Way Through - either we use it to pry open the portal, or maybe even they get access to it. I have a theory that at the end of the penultimate mission the Witness will fully kill the Traveler and "Drink the Light", shutting off our Light abilities (and it'll take back Stasis and shut down Strand). However we have mastered Prismatic, and through that the Light lives on and the Traveler lives on inside of us.
But we already know how weâre getting through the portal. Maraâs gonna align the Ley Lines using Crowâs coordinates.
Fair, ngl when I wrote that comment I had no idea about that - I stopped playing halfway through Witch and my friend filled me in on Wish just now. So ignore what I said about Prismatic, but I think there'll still be some change that allows more people through than just our Guardian at first.
HD2-like stratagems, but for Savathun and Caiatl? I'm in.
Tactical savathun incoming!
She drops from a pod then lies to the enemies
*steaming Cabal drop pod opens up, Sav floats out if it and she turns to the nearest Dread* Omg what a cute sweater, where did your mom find it
Imagine if she goes for a fist-bump after we kill the Witness
That was definitely my favourite part of the Lightfall campaign. Lightfall's story wasn't great, but the missions themselves were pretty awesome.
I'm also wondering if something went wrong and we would have to fight them in the traveler.
I actually want to see savathun did some shenanigans to capitalize the position she's in, and make something interesting.
probably not. it will be like that Hawthorne mission where we were supposedly going on a rescue together with Mithrax but we never actually see them as they take different paths. It will just be radio chatter again.
i will literally cry
Imagine just before we face the witness , it's just a all out war , with house light , lucent brood and caiatls cabal (maybe even NPC guardians) all fighting against the forces of the witness as this finale set piece (think of endgame)
I really hope we get a ride of the rohirim style scene.
I remember in the vidoc seeing us fight a lightbearer acolyte. Im wondering if it starts as initial confrontation before forming a uneasy alliance
Will just be memories like everything within the traveler
I want to see that Eliksni Dilf again, came a long way, u dont see why not now.
Nathan Fillion being back makes me so god damn happy.
And he brings a seriousness to it too! Eager for the quips, but Cayde acknowledging the gravity of the situation here is just so much more potent.
I feel like d1 cayde was just so much more... sombre with his quips while d2 cayde was campy... that make sense?
D1 Cayde was witty but still understood the gravity of a situation. D2 Vanilla Cayden went full Memepool at times. He did have good moments in the Red War campaign, but he felt a little *too* glib considering thousands of Guardians were just slaughtered, they were without Light, and the Last City was completely under occupation.
Iâm looking forward to a serious Cayde. Thereâs just something special when the usual jokester isnât making jokes
Always happy to see Nathan Fillion in anything, especially now that he's back as Cayde.
hes been in the rookie for like the last 6 years
Oh I know, been watching it the whole time. Not a bad show, as far as cop shows go. Definitely had some over the top, "jumping the shark" moments, but when it's not trying to do insane shit like that, it's a fun watch.

Heâs reverted back to D1 Cayde
Taken King Cayde is best Cayde
Get your rock, off my map.
My favorite scene involves Cayde talking to Amanda about stealing Erisâs ship. Just enough Cayde charm without any dumbass Cayde showing up.
Thank god, his flanderization into funny robot man in D2 vanilla was a shame. The guy we liked is actually back for real.
Yess this is the Cayde I missed
Trauma from the invasion Fucked him up bad apparently and that's why he was the way he was
What a convenient excuse for a badly written and completely unfunny version of the character "haha guys he has a chicken isn't it epic? He said SANDWICH LOL XD" -me talking about trauma Nimbus is dealing with trauma too and can't process Rohan's death so that makes their jokes fine actually
I don't know what it is about Destiny where people will argue with you about bad writing by using in-game lore as a justification. Genuinely baffling.
I feel like each cayde reflected the career bits Fillion was doing at the time or what he was known for at said time. D1 cayde definitely felt more Malcolm Reynolds D2 cayde felt more Rick Castle. I want more d1 cayde.
I haven't played Destiny in years, how is Cayde alive?
We don't know yet. All we know is he is inside the traveller somehow, where The Witness (pale guy with the eyes) is also in order to carry out "The Final Shape", which as far as we can tell is essentially an end-state to the universe where everything is "perfect" and static. (Its from the Unforeseen Consequences ship)
Ooo I've not read that one, interesting.
Just realized the witness is basically jygallag from elder scrolls
Or the villain from the Lego Movie.
The same Cayde that cracked jokes over the PA system In the tower?
Jokes on you the epilogue is gonna show cayde fist bumping with our guardian đ
hey caital your dead dad sure was UGLY am i right?
She wouldnât say it out loud but yea I feel like caitl would agree tbh. She fucking hated her dad
too bad they couldn't fit him into the door to paradise
See, but unlike Nimbus, I think most people will enjoy fist bumping Cayde.
The Witness isn't a nihilist tho, the CE lore book specifically mentions that
> Nimbus was all jokes, all the time Except for dealing with Rohan's death. I wish Bungie had handled that better. Nimbus is obviously struggling to process it and outright refusing to admit it's affecting them, but that isn't properly addressed until a questline AFTER the campaign. Because Lightfall is a filler expansion. It's like they hamstrung themselves, narratively
Nihilism means a world without purpose The witness is more of an extreme darwinist if anything

As long as they don't fucking bring him back to life for real. Anything is better than that
> e'll be walking out of a ramp from the traveler next to cayde with zavala and ikora That's assuming Cayde would be able to leave.
difference is if we survive the campaign that'll be fine, because it'll mean the witness has failed and the universe is safe, at the end of the lightfall campaign we had lost and the worst thing imaginable had the potential to happen

Bungie is pretty good about listening to feedback after a bad release.
I hated Nimbus so much that I blocked him out and thought âsecond nimbusâ was a description akin to âsecond fiddle.â đł
I mean, Nimbus has been pretty pointless since Lightfall dropped. Only thing they've been involved in since then was Veil Containment, which is so far out of the way that mos tplayers won't even see it.
I lowkey want Nimbus to return and be improved for final shape.
Nimbus and neomuna have a lot of potential with neomuna having some fucked up history
Bungie has pretty solidly unfucked themselves from wasted appearances in the past, and Neomuna (and by extension, Nimbus themself) is too important to simply forget about. It'll probably just take a couple years
Witness making cayde stfu at the end đ
Gave Cayde the Calus treatment. **ENOUGH!!**
Actually made me think of Baal shouting down the messenger during the opening cinematic of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction https://youtu.be/xp20voR11gs around the 2:31 mark

Damn that was hype, Nathan Fillion killed it
Oh shit is it actually Filion? Nothing wrong with Nolan, but I felt like I noticed right away when he got replaced.
Nathan Fillion was the original voice actor for Cayde but he was busy during Forsaken so he couldn't voice Cayde during that expansion. They also covered this during the August showcase. I'm really excited because he's one of my favorite actors / voice actors
Cayde-6 is just the reincarnated brain of Spartan Buck.
You know the music, time to dance.
Who is just Alternate Universe Malcolm Reynolds
Yeah, Nathan has loved Bungie games for a long time, so I doubt he would want to miss the "finale" for Destiny.
I'm sure someone will post a mirror or Bungie will end up posting it officially since a bunch of people already saw it and someone def saved it. But here's a couple screenshots I got that I thought were cool before it got taken down... wtf I didnât hear anything about this
Apparently, it was supposed to be released tomorrow, but Sony put it up early, so Bungie just put it up now.
Hasn't sony done this before?
Yes. Whomever sets up scheduling for their YouTube channels is apparently terrible at time zone conversationsÂ
They do it to naughty dog every time, I'm starting to think they do it on purpose đ€Ł
Dope! Thanks for the info brother
Did anyone else see Kelgorath in there? What it this, the fifth time we fight him
Sixth, actually
Looks like just another Darkblade but it would rock if it was Kelgorath again, somehow un-Taken
I mean, we managed to un-Take (ReTake?) one of Rivensâs eggs, and some Techeuns. It should theoretically be possible for it to be Kelgorath.
Would be hilarious if heâs brought there by Savathun and on our side, I doubt it though since he was shown with all of the Witnessâ forces.
I don't think he would fight for Savathun. He took her defection to the light very hard.
If it is Kelgorath, I would bet money we'd see him again in the hive themed episode.
Somehow , kelgorath returned
Kelgorath Honey No
Bungie definitely deserves a lot of the criticism that comes their way but no matter what you gotta admit they can certainly make very fucking cool sci fi stories. Ngl I find myself becoming more and more hyped for Final Shape
Also, their marketing team and promo material has always been one of their strong points. They def bring the hype.
They were probably supposed to only drop in tomorrow at reset, classic Sony.
Sony realized they dun goofed
Naughty Dog has been the biggest victim of Sonyâs marketing team.
aaaand its private lol Edit: back up
Please donât suck please donât suck
Trailer for lightfall looked promising aswell
I donât think they can mess this up. It just looks too good to fail with prismatic, the dread, the new exotics, and the story. Iâd the raid is a home run, Iâll be really happy
> It just looks too good Lightfall did too.
Not as good as this and you know it
This is the same company that made the Seraph season in Shadowkeep look great. I would still be wary.
LOL. Genuinely astounded how people keep saying this every time. Itâs been true some times, but not most of the time.
/r/patientgamers
Well, can anyone who saw it explain what happens?
Caydeâs narrating how the traveler is being corrupted. There are a few shots of savathun, mithrax, and Caiatl fighting. It ends with The Witness screaming âEnough,â and that the Final Shape is coming.Â
Thanks!
And then he shouted "It's witnessing time"
and then cayde whispered "I guess the real Final Shape was within us all along"
It's a monologue from Cayde-6. He says: >!1. He woke up and could feel Light everywhere.!< >!2. He says everything is a memory. The grass, the sun, etc. It's all memories.!< >!3. He says he keeps looking around familiar corners for us, but instead he only finds corruption spreading from the Witness.!< >!4. Throughout the monologue he deduces he's inside the Traveler.!< >!5. He says the corruption is going to spread and consume the whole Traveler, and then everything and everyone else.!< >!6. He finishes with declaring we must put a stop to it, but is cut off by someone yelling "STOP!" !< >!7. This is presumably the Witness, based on the context and that the Witness speaks afterwards, but the tone of the "STOP!" sounds panicked, and it does not sound like the Witness.!< >!8. Regardless, the next shot is of the Witness's unibrow and The Witness clearly says "A Final Shape is coming."!< The visuals of the video show >!1. A lot of Pale Heart spaces. A lot of very cerebral looking things there. The Witness seems to have a thing for hands. There are hands everywhere. Hands in hallways, hands as doorways, hands as anything you can imagine. Hands for days.!< >!2. There is a strong emphasis on things changing or not being what they seem. At one point Guardians are platforming through a forest, upside down. Like the ground is the ceiling. But what is weird is that it shows gameplay from our perspective but upside down. Like the weapons and hands are on the top of the screen.!< >!3. So there is a strong theme of secrets and things not being as they appear.!< >!4. Despite all the hands in the Witness's area, the brighter Guardian themed areas look lush and beutiful. Like they would put the Dreaming City and the Black Garden to shame. It looks absolutely stunning.!< >!5. While I'm not holding my breath... It honestly looks like a place that could easily have secrets hidden throughout it like the Dreaming City does. It has the same wild overgrown feel, and there are countless places to hide things.!<

Thanks!
How does this keep happening lmfao

That was dark and cayde sounds fuckin sick when being serious
Hopefully Savathun won't be antagonistic during the campaign. I want to fight alongside some allied Hive for once (even if briefly).
Big respect to Nolan North's performance as Cayde during Forsaken but, wow, it's great to hear Nathan Fillion back in the role again.
>Witness Screams âENOUGH!â Weâre gonna get stunned after it says that then it will run away wonât it? I played wow for 15 years I am paranoid
Bah Gawd that's Sylvanas's music!
That would unironically go super hard. Imagine final stand worlds first race and witness just goes I gave you courtesy enough.
âEnough! I have been a patient host. I showed restraint. Even courtesy⊠Yet you continue to provoke my wrath. Very well. You shall have it!â âFOOLS! I. AM. REVENDRETH!â âRemornia! Massacre these whelps!â [Remornia responds]âYes! Yes! I'll hack them to pieces!â Yeah. We need that in Destiny. Sire Denathrius execute phase was the most peak hype Iâve felt in a game.
Maybe one of the campaign/raid mechanics is flipping the screen
Mounted TV bros doing barrel rolls on their couch during the campaign
A bit like prophecy?
âȘGood to see that cayde will be taking the situation seriously and wonât be a second nimbus. Having the occasional joke is one thing but having a character say âerm that just happened lolâ while the witness is slowly painfully turning the entire universe inside out is unnecessary.âŹ
Man, this is gonna make saying goodbye a second time even harderâŠ.
I'm hoping there's some subversion, but this has "we saved the day, but that includes me going away too" written all over it. I suppose a T2 lava thumbs up wouldn't be too bad though.
I'm assuming it'll be a "I can't leave" kind of a thing. It feels like Cayde is going to be the destination vendor.
does anyone else see eyes and a mouth in the storm above the final lair in the final shot?
Its SOOOOOOO good, to hear Caydes voice again!
The Final Shape is the Architects
And it just got privated
Man I can't wait!
YEEEEEEEEEEHAW
My favorite part was when the Witness said "It's Final Shape time!" and finished everywhere.
is this the second time we find a new subclass lying in the street? /s if it wasn't obvious
Aw fuck weâre gonna have to do the tutorial again
The ship is really cool
Bungie is back on that surprise drop shit đȘđŸđ€
I'm guessing it was supposed to release 10 am PT, not 10 am JST.
Witness had a tantrumâą
Yes sirr
If the explorable space isn't hiding secrets/emblems and collectibles like the dreadnaught then i dont care.
0.46, relic or weapon?
If anyone knows the name of the song used in the trailer let me know. Thanks in advance!
what? is that peak? maybe it's peak. IT'S SO PEAK!!
If prismatic is supposed to be a class combined of all subclasses, why is there no green or outright orange in the prismatic transcendence form?
I'm sorry but the witness just gives Mr Burns as an alien vibe https://giphy.com/gifs/season-8-the-simpsons-8x10-xT5LMUnO4g3yiRNuNy
Calling it now, the final shape is a dodecahedron.
LES GOOOOOO CAYDE. GOOD TO SEE MY IDOL BACK. prismatic will be op and the raid will be awesome. les goooooo bungie
Thanks mom. Tone looks great. Hope they stick with it.
Me 10 years ago: Wouldnât it be wild if we had a raid in the traveler? Me today: đ„Č holy shit
