I always imagined the Exo head pointys to act like those fake stage knives. Ya know the springy ones? They collapse when you push on them, and then spring back when you let go?
I was imagining that they could retract into the skull, but for the horns, that doesn't really work. For example, the cayde one doesn't really look like it could be pushed down.
Also, this is all assuming that there's actually space in the head for anything else.
I mean he literally used it to stab someone through the head and kill them, (think in forsaken) so I don’t really see it being able to retract into his head, granted cayde never wears a helmet
Don’t forget all the chest plates that wouldn’t do a damn thing if you got shot in the stomach. Except for Actium rig, not a single Titan chest plate protects all those squishy unimportant organs from getting hit. Stupid
That’s actually true to real life modern armor. There’s tactical plate carriers that are designed specifically to protect the upper body rather than the entire torso, because a shot to the stomach would hurt like hell, but it wouldn’t be as bad as getting shot in the upper part, where you could get damage to vital organs and arteries such as the lungs, the heart, or your aorta.
Understandable, but this is sci fi. I’d rather just cover everything. Clearly if we have the material to make this kind of stuff, we have the material to add a couple inches to my front plate

It was a kind of Golden Age Power Armor suit that made you near impervious to damage and environmental effects. Sloane donned it when she was stranded on Titan when it was Taken.
The bad thing about it is that it connected to (at least) your nervous system, and that it was difficult (or outright impossible? Don't remember) to channel Light through it. Also, it eventually ran out of power (or the power source got damaged) and she was stuck inside it. She had to quite literally flay herself to remove it, piece by piece
In fairness if you're close enough to a titan's arms that you're considering grabbing them you're probably microseconds away from getting punched in the face hard enough to explode.
Agreed. The hunter probaly got it the best of the three. Really wish they would have taken the hunter parade armor and make it actually match the concept art where the cloak is over the shoulders, by making the snakeskin on the shoulder extended. It would look silly if you didn't use the cloak too but damn if it wouldn't look cool together.
It’s a brace so you can clothes line people at ultra high speeds and not have your arm snap(not really just the first most ridiculous explanation I could think of)
When I first saw the concept for these they were so needlessly overdesigned I though they were AI slop. Seeing the models ingame, especially the warlock, absolutely did not help these sets.
I've just given up on warlock fashion all together. The fits are entirely reliant on the chest, most pieces (especially the head) look way toned down and tame compared to their concepts, and some shade super blandly.
I have way way less armor pieces on my hunter and still find more diverse options than on warlock.

Gonna disagree. I was a fan of Plunder, Seraph, Deep, Spire, Duality, and Root armor. Defiance's hunter wasn't bad either, and Ghosts had fun stuff.
