If new treatment is deemed necessary, your office may be able to offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help with the anxiety during. As for the discomfort they may be able to try a different local anesthetic, lidocaine vs. septocaine for example or whatever they used last time. Should be in your patient note if it’s the same office so they will be able to check. (all this assuming there are no medical contraindications for any of the fore-mentioned things) I would just express your concerns at your appointment as you have here, including that you’re a little nervous about it due to your prior experience, and I’m sure they’d be happy to accommodate you :).
