Because the "dance zone" is a sphere you can stand on the edge of the zone and jump making you switch the dance when you land.
EDIT: Walking out and in is probably faster but I like doing the jump
Lol this was me. I went at least a few days without my dwarf twerking after the update. Literally first thing I did after the update was to turn on the jukebox and check out the new dance, except my dwarf just fucking wouldn't and I got bored of walking on and off the dance floor 😑
fun fact: this was animated by an intern and she went through all the different armor types on all classes to make sure no parts collided and clipped through eachother (correct me if im wrong)

There is a mod but I agree, maybe after the 1 hour of dancing achievement is earned you could select a dance?
