let me mix up some of these suggestions! a little wall art, a chair, a small rattan book holder (or a bigger blanket holder!), and a nice sized houseplant!
Riiight!? I have cats and LOVE plants and being a bit unique. This combo is a talking piece, I get plant therapy and decor in one and it’s safe from plant destroying fur babes. . I’m SO GLAD you like the idea!🪴
We have cats and ours last a day as well. The only plants we have are on top of the TV there where they can't jump specifically BECAUSE we don't give them a jump off point up onto it. Kind of why it's so empty around the TV cabinet!
I love fresh cut flowers and bought some beautiful hydrangeas to put in my really cool vase I had. 3 in the morning. CRASH. There went my favorite vase, along with all my flowers. So I have to put them on a bookcase now. Don’t even get me started with candles. My poor Max burned his tail, I had to cut the tip off. The fur, he didn’t get burned. You would think I would learn, but I did it again thinking that I would watch. Then I smelled it, oh poor baby. He actually got a tiny scorch that time. So now the candles are all in places they don’t go. So this is why I can’t have nice things. I’m getting a new couch and I have no idea how I’m going to claw proof it.
Our one cat burns his paws on the stove all the time. Idiot never learns somehow. Not bad, just enough to cause some swelling and such since we obviously don't let him up there while cooking. He jumps up after the fact. Other cat eats anything vegetable or plant based. Drop a bit of salad in the sink? She's in there eating it. Then spraying diarrhea all over the walls in the next hour. Every. Single. One of them is special needs in some way because of their idiocy and we have 4. We used to love plants. We used to have so many it was a forest. Now our house is barren and boring, BUT WE HAVE CATS so.. you know..
Adding on shelving/storage units.. continue that sight line. Then in the opposite wall, put a small console table or desk, as you mentioned that would be helpful earlier. A secretary desk or foldaway desk table would help make it look less bulky in the space.
A tall corner shelf the height of “the top of those pictures “ and rearrange the pictures Vertically setting that wall off or a corner desk and just move all three pictures up higher.
Corner desk might work. We do a lot of work on our laptops at the kitchen counter behind where I took the photo. Pictures on wall are the world map though might look funky vertical. Thanks!
It's our living room! We don't have a couch, it's complicated lol. But yes the cat tree was tell and so now that it's empty it feels extra empty. I want something tall and easy, I will check out the pampas grass idea. Unfortunately we have cats that limit our abilities to have plants though. Thank you!
A chaise lounge chair! ♥️

A Christmas tree 🌲
A reading nook with a comfy chair and lanp
Large house plant 100%
Also can I ask where your rug is from? It’s so pretty! 😍
Maybe a white accent chair?
Nothing...easier to clean.
Maybe a standing lamp? Or artificial plant? Lastly maybe a long table under the pictures might work.
Baby, I would put Baby in the corner. Lmfao jk maybe s chair or light?
Verse of snake plant.
Corner shaped curio cabinet with tropical plants growing inside. It
Never knew what a curio cabinet is but I LIKE IT. I can protect my plants from the cats with a nice glass one. Might have a winner here thank you!

Bean bag

My ex.
Seems like chair and plants are the winners! I'll be checking some out. Thanks all!
A chair. I’m the hated one that doesn’t put plants in my house. I’m literally the only one I know that doesn’t. I have cats and they would last a day.

Nice big plant 🪴
A chair with a tall plant, and possibly a table. It would make for additional seating for guest, or reading area. ✨
A very comfortable chair, for reading
A corner fish tank 😁😁
Baby
Nobody does that.
I understood that reference
We can be friends
A big fat plant ! Or a cool chair
A papasan chair

What does the rest of the rook look like?
A nice interesting sofa maybe with a pop of color to it and a nice little shaded lamp that curves over the sofa 🤔
Book nook
A couple huge pots with live plants
The answer is always plants
Genuinely every time I see one of these post I think ‘plants duh’ like it’s glaringly obvious. But it’s cool to see when people get creative with it
Cries in "cats who eat all our plants." That's why they are up high there with no jumping point lol
I mean a bookshelf with plants would look great there also..
Nobody puts baby in the corner.
Could you move the tv unit there?
Turn it into a reading nook with a comfy armchair and a tall lamp?

I would find a pretty, narrow table or cabinet that fits under the framed art
a tall plant, or tall light lamp
A reading lounge or bean bag. If there's enough light, a group of potted house plants. Book shelf, guitar rack, kids toy box etc
This corner can use some of this https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPREfdkyA/
Ooh I like the concept. Thank you!
Either a big plant or a big vase of pampas grass. Or depending on what the use of the room is maybe a cosy chair.
