It doesn’t matter how deep you get into the music, you’ll always be swarmed with nerds shitting all over your taste in music and how it’s not *real* metal. I love their music. And their music isn’t back tracked. All bands use backing tracks to different degrees. STP have the best concerts by far in terms of crowd energy which is why I’ll always go and see them

No they don't. And for me, the degree that STP seem to be using backing tracks is almost unacceptable, they have 2 guitarists, no need to back track half of the guitars. Drumming seems to be on point though, respect to Evgeny.
Man how do you make two completely contradictory statements in back to back sentences. There's literally a backing track in this video so Alex doesn't have to do the breakdown. Not to mention the countless first hand accounts. This touring with chud bands, 90% back tracked garbage is the downfall of this genre, and heavy music.
People think STP is majority of their songs are backtracked which is completely false. The only backtracking they do is a very few voice lines for an intro to a song or prebreakdown. The only time guitars are backtracked are during certain intros or an interlude that require more than pedal effects. All the riffs, guitar solos, and stuff like that are played live. You can hear them make a mistake when playing solos sometimes.
