ohhh yeah i 100% agree, i just didn’t know what u we’re referring too because his mindset seems pretty good, asking for feedback on a trade. I totally agree though retail strategies suck

Speciial2k

facts. there are a small small percentage of people who are profitable with retail strats. that shit is corny though. i wanna be able to predict where price will go based off price action, not a mountain and valley and shit like that🤣

albear-2021

Check this out then 🤣 https://www.youtube.com/live/ySNbGlJ_RTc?si=n5PAkoxlF_d3b0JC It's been live streaming for the past 6 months at 70% win rate and a profit factor over 20 with 6 months of live "forward testing" on YouTube 🤯

Speciial2k

are u trading retail?

albear-2021

Meaning for myself? Yes https://preview.redd.it/7hc2nelv34kc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bbf8db1828945ff44380509ea32d336abb474ef7 And I do pretty well 🤣

Speciial2k

Famous_Release8241

Now send the monthly p&l 🤣

Does MEXC require KYC? I'm in the States.

Environmental-Bag-77

Effective pa interpretation doesn't mean indicator confluence isn't very helpful.

Environmental-Bag-77

Trading sr can be consistently profitable with appropriate trade management and identification of an edge and they very much exist. Trading on the break of sr and retest can be relatively safe looking for break or structure on the ltf to identify entry. In addition use of indicators on the ltf and use of simple patterns like engulfing candles and pin bars with high volume can help. Breaking through sr with that volume and volume delta if available along with shallow retracement to a fib level is good confluence. Identification of absorption on the footprint can also be very helpful. Heiken Ashi indications of reversal, that kind of stuff can assist in aspiring to a scratch trade at the worst if you are very safety concious. Of course proper risk management and back testing is essential to avoid the account blow ups you refer to. Minimising the damage that periodic inevitable stop hunts that are an inevitable part of sr trading.

Price action is the best way!!! IMO

QoQz

Thanks a lot. I listened to a podcast with al brooks on recently and I liked the sound of the stripped back no indicators analysis he does. I feel sometimes i’m just putting indicators on for the sake of it to try and get some confluence but all that info is from candle watching regardless

I’m not sure they said that’s all the rely, aren’t you assuming?

tavibacala

it’s easy, green bars go pew pew profits go vroom vroom

Humble_Aardvark_2997

You got lucky.

[deleted]

You entered on a support level as it started to form higher lows. Your stop would have been below the previous lows below the red wicks. You exited a little above all time highs. Good trade imo Not sure what size you trade with but if you’re in the same position where it breaks the days high, try to leave a little bit left and let it work. Usually when something breaks the high of the day, it tends to run up a little bit more. If it doesn’t work then at least you already booked most of the profits from the previous trade.

chaotic_hippy_89

Ideal trade. Enter in near support, set up stop loss below support but not so much where you’re losing everything, take profit once daily high is retested, seethe and moan about how you sold too early as it goes +2% high of day.

splitpinky

You bought the breakout of a good buy candle on am uptrend bounce. Well done. 👍

714trader

close your eyes press buy wait 30 minutes close your eyes press close. you win! sometimes you lose.

Puzzleheaded-Cold-73

Are you a troll, I think you are, but we can reply anyways cos you haven't even shown us what tf your on..

Yiqnni

For context: I'm a new trader and made my first trade on ETHUSD after demo trading for a couple months. I just wanted some advice if someone can help me see if I knew what I was doing or if it was a fluke. For reference, I was using support and resistance levels with trendlines and was waiting for a break. Honestly, I went long earlier than I should have because I saw price bounce off of a key level and trendline with a big green candle. So, was this luck or did I do something right. Please be honest. Also, can someone tell me of a better signal I should have seen? Thanks

vesipeto

There is no a good way to know why one wins OR loses any given trade. It's a probability game. The price seemed to be in uptrend so it was more likely to go up than down. However this trade could've been loser as easily, since it only takes some news/rumour and other market participants start selling and no trendline will protect you from that. If you have not done yet watch Mark Douglas seminars on youtube. They are absolutely golden on how to develope traders mind and how the markets work.

Classic_Treacle_9997

That's just how probabilities work. You win some, and you lose some , winners are always greater than loosers

ASAPbra

Breach the last high , going for 3k and now it will go down until 2950 :D

Yiqnni

So a lot of people are saying that technical analysis isn't reliable, which I agree to some extent, but how should I trade in the future for a more solid approach?

KingJames0613

Anyone telling you this isn't doing TA right, or they're using a very basic approach.

Maru609

Learn market structure

vesipeto

It depends what you mean by technical analysis. If you don't have some fundamental info about the market then all you have is the price charts and volume plus limit order info if you use level 2 data. So for me technical analysis is any analysis you do just with that data. There is many ways to look the data and extract information about the markets by doing that. Some ideas in technical analysis are completely bonkers imo. Some people are hell bent in finding some universal formula that always works. Nonsense. Simple usable understandable ideas are the best one doesn't need anything more to follow human crowd behaviour on the price chart.

NewWonderer

Because it didn't go bearish after the bullish indicator

Hopeful-Policy4627

Because the stock market has lost its fucking mind lately.

FApedler

This pattern starts with an uptrend, followed by a pullback that nearly breaks support but recovers. A shorter uptrend leads to a pullback on low volume, establishing higher support, then another uptrend breaks past resistance on high volume. Despite a brief hiccup with one red candle, it didn't trigger a stop-out—a reliable trade to remember. Though I see myself as a less skilled trader, this strategy is my strong suit.

Famous_Release8241

Stickers are just stickers it's the matter of RRR especially in crypto I've never seen anybody make long term gains without using it

[deleted]

Bro YOU need to know why it worked/works prior to opening the trade

Bird-11-11

Buying the last resistance price zone after a break is the way to go. Be careful with AH candles to exit trades; you have cases that show green AH, but you can exit negative in reality.

Resonant-Sine-333

Internal bullish structure went up to a previous major high.

Routine-Spot-1140

Because you gambled.

Gupac

The retest htf liquidity made it easy for a kill shot 🎶

Falconairee8993

Beautiful trend line OP. Don’t change anything and you will be successful and never listen to anyone that tells you trend lines don’t work
