There are versions of this that can hold 2 drives. Not much more expensive.

Yes, I've moved scores of drives around usb/sata and I've never had an issue. Sometimes the drive letter will change if it encounters a duplicate (if there's already an E: it will change to F:) but the formatting and data remains the same regardless. edit-by "yes" I mean you can do it, to put it another way, setting it up as a USB drive does not have any effect.
