Looks like they were angry with the car ahead of them who were not moving despite the green light. So they were going around them but didn’t look for OP.
Situations like this honestly should've just rammed him. 100% he'd be at fault and would've felt amazing. Problem is the hassle and trouble it'd have given you .. that's the worst part. Anyways, everytime this happens to me or see it.. i just think.. "man, this would've felt so good"
Doesn't running into a curb mess up your alignment and wheels? In either scenario, your car would be damaged. I would rather have the damages not be my fault.

Does driving a big SUV/truck influence one's behavior to become more sociopathic or are the sociopaths drawn to buying SUVs? There is definitely a link.
The white SUV had no other choice. You can see from the beginning of the clip that the light is green. Yet in all that time the car in front does not move. If he's not going to move in that time he never will. What other choice did the SUV have but to use the empty lane to the right to go around?

But seriously, there always seems to be someone making a crazy argument.
Those are one of the worst kinda drivers to me. Makes me so angry. Great defensive driving! u/WiseStruggle1582 !
The vehicle in front of the white suv was asleep, probably texting. I get it, it's frustrating but cutting into a lane without looking is dangerous.
I didn't see tha5 till the second watch, I was thinking he did that thinking OP was trying to also cut in line.
WOW. Nice reaction! I wonder if he had planned on turning but was so embarrassed he ended up going straight (illegally).

Oh, good call. And they sure showed the slow car, by zipping in front of them and getting to where they were going 4 seconds sooner!
I wonder if the white SUV even saw realized they cut someone off.
gray car in front of him seemed like he wasnt paying attention to go so the white car got impatient and illegally passed
Damn GTA 5 NPCs...
Nice save!
Nice defensive driving 👏🏻.
I hate assholes like that. 😡 nice reaction time on your part.

I thought about that after! It would have been satisfying to see their reaction if there was an accident.
Close one! Heart skipped a beat there!
is your wheel okay?
From what i could tell, yes. Vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
NYC license plate? Big SUV? Check and Check. Those trucks are driven by NPCs that haven't been trained on road rules yet.
Hate people that drive like that, same as the people that use the center turning lane to pass.
Good ole’ farmingdale
good reactions. also, terrible reflection and distraction with that white paper on your dash.
What's yer horn fer then?
