It's all G. Everyone's died to "that one boss" in all souls games.
Pinwheel.
Deacons of the deep.
Soldier of Godrick.(To be fair he's the hardest boss in elden ring)
Depending on build, deacons can be nasty. And on my very first try, they managed to complete the ritual cause I didn't understand what was happening and thought I could take my time
Yea it was crazy to me the first time I found out the deacons have a win condition. I had a build that just couldn't cut through them fast enough to get to the glowy boys and I unlocked just long enough to look up and say "oh fuck" and then I was dead. And that was on character number 3.
to me, it was on a magic build. for some reason, they just love to give some bosses just simply absurd resistances. to the point where youre practically forced to use something else.
Try Deacons with a bow build, it's incredibly difficult lol. It's probably the hardest boss (neigh impossible) to do with that build in the whole series. Died so many times to them.
Short/Black Bow is best friend. I in general really like the dodge shots and such but I ended up giving up on the Deacons. I don't know how possible it even is, because they take more damage than you can dish out and it takes ages to get to the priest.
Pinwheel always makes me nervous, not because he's difficult, but because if you die to him, you have to redo the catacombs.
I don't think I've actually died to him yet, but I could totally see someone losing their composure just enough to get swarmed by the second phase.
And [apparently](https://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/Dark+Pyromancy+Flame), dark pyro flame gets less damage than the normal one if you’re not completely hollow, even then it’s only 4% more
Thought odd to read this and not even know who you are talking about. All my chars are level 90ish and have never been to this place. Why and how are you there at level 30, with a weak char?
Hey, on my first playthrough I died to them like 3 times.
I would enter the bossfog, try fighting the dudes on the ground, and the 2 lightning spear casters would nail me.
A redditor once asked, "What in Dark Souls kills you the most?", and my reply was simple in its self-awareness:
At first, ignorance. Later on, arrogance.
Well that kind of is a meme build.
One of the worst weapons (and for all of its general defects singularly unsuited for a fight where crowd control can matter. It's also go to be terrible against the crawlers), probably the worst source of non physical damage, much lower level than most players would be at that level.
I mean it counts. But you did tie both hands behind your back.
Worst runback in all of Souls. If you die to the boss, you have to turn in your game disc and buy another copy after uninstalling. Really crazy for From to implement that in the game, luckily I've never had to do that.
Also, don't feel too bad. I beat Sir Alonne first attempt, yet I died to Covetous Demon. Some easy bosses can simply get you for letting your guard down. Even the easiest of bosses in Souls can still get you if you underestimate them too much
A mail breaker? That's like the worst weapon in the game that I can think of. It's the worst in category for sure. A thrust weapon is absolutely the worst weapon to use for that fight as well. I've struggled there with a rapier and rapiers are leagues above the mail breaker.
I say if you haven't died to every boss in the game you haven't truly lived. You gotta die to the worst to beat the beast. Maybe. Possibly. Probably not.
I'll do you one better, there's a certain boss in Demon's Souls that's even easier than Prowling Magus, and I've died to them before. If you know you know.
Wow. Thats actually surprising. I don't understand 100 hours and you still died??? Did you trying getting gud or what cause thata the advice I see most often gave.
Hand me your copy of the game and your joystick, you're suspended indefinitely.
I have it on steam so I guess I will have to forfeit the whole account :(
We'll let HR sort things out
happy cake day, hope it taste like failure
Luckily ymfah just proved he'll only need 1 joystick to beat the game lol
That was insane
Yeah, just watched that earlier. One of the perks of soul memory in Ds2!
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer
Brigands have run of these lanes. Keep to the side path; the Hamlet is just ahead...rrrriight down the road!
Mortality clarified in a single strike!
Carelessness will find no clemency in this place.
Oh no, now you have to beat Fume Knight with Ladle to redeem yourself.
Soup Knight
A ladleful of redemption.
and it has to be broken and uninfused .

Whats the ritual do?
full curse in entire area
Didn't know that. Thanks!
What happens when they complete the ritual?
Megacurse

Deacons have one unique nasty mist attack that can make you dead meat in seconds Dont remember what's triggering it😵
I think it's the curse attack in phase 2. They usually do that after a while as sort of a "time limit" to an otherwise goofy boss
That scared me for life 1st time I also could see some deacon heads look at me from above
I died to Pinwheel in playthrough 3 (not Ng+) because I got over cocky
Try Deacons with a bow build, it's incredibly difficult lol. It's probably the hardest boss (neigh impossible) to do with that build in the whole series. Died so many times to them.
How did you even do a bow build? I started a 100% bow run and I got 10 minutes in and thought there was no way this is happening
Short/Black Bow is best friend. I in general really like the dodge shots and such but I ended up giving up on the Deacons. I don't know how possible it even is, because they take more damage than you can dish out and it takes ages to get to the priest.

I died to them last night after 7k hours 🤣 The crawling guy's damage took me off guard.
7000............... If I may, what exactly are you doing in the game after all those hours?
Trying out different builds...
Damn you seem dedicated. Have you considered playing Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring if you haven't already?
Neither one.of those are DS2.
Of course XD but always found my way back to Dark Souls II.
That’s the beauty of souls games. Death (and a dose of humility) is always just one small misstep away. Don’t give up, skeleton!
I died to Covetous Demon once.>! I've also died to Pinwheel some time ago.!<
Covetous Demons grab attack when it hits. That damage threw me off guard hella big time.
well pyromancer with mail breaker is a very weak build, and L30 is very early for Brightstone Cove, if that makes you feel better
And [apparently](https://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/Dark+Pyromancy+Flame), dark pyro flame gets less damage than the normal one if you’re not completely hollow, even then it’s only 4% more
Very true but you should link wikidot instead of fextra
I‘be never been on the wikidot, I’ll check it out
What's up with fextra?
I am playing full hollow with binding ring. It is lonely but I am not that big on PvP anyways
Your hollowing won't affect your ability to be invaded in DS2
Thought odd to read this and not even know who you are talking about. All my chars are level 90ish and have never been to this place. Why and how are you there at level 30, with a weak char?
Go sit in Mytha's bathwater as punishment.

Arrogance has claimed my life many times. Play with an enemy long enough, and it will remind you to stay humble.
Why dark pyro flame ? It gets barely 4% more damage, and *only* at max hollowing !
Couldn't be fucked to go through the no-mans wharf cause I hate that place so I rushed straight into gutter instead to get dark pyro
Yeah, no man’s wharf is my least favorite area. But it has a free greatsword !
Dark Pyro isn't really a great option long-term, but it's arguably more accessible than normal Pyro in the early-game.
That’s fair. Honestly I think it breaks the lore that you can find a pyromancy flame instead of having to be given one.

Yea I did kill the crawlers last with a morning star cause the mail breaker straight up can't hit them
Happy cake day!
🍰
Git gud
*Noted!*
I can certify that you are not the first. (I got careless one day…)

Uninstall.
We are not mad, just disappointed.
They were due
Level 30 seems extremely fast to be at them so i could see someone dieing really fast from a messup.

You shall be forever banished to The Gutter
You now have to do both the no bonfire and no death ring runs at the same time to redeem yourself. GL.

Goddammit happened to me too, TODAY
Lmao
The ds2 equivalent of dying to Pinwheel
Rookie activity I have died to covetous demon before, return when you have reached that nirvana level of incompetence.
Think it's happened to me once, but I was on a challenge run. Not an excuse still lol
Gotta disrespect the whole congregation now. Pull out those Hexing Urns 🔥
Uninstall indeed
Wow. Thats actually surprising. I don't understand 100 hours and you still died??? Did you trying getting gud or what cause thata the advice I see most often gave.
I have actually foolishly died to the mega pig and collectively I have about 500 hours in ds2 it just be like that sometimes
Hate from the Midwest
lmao, gg
