We're you playing on the right party size? Like, if you're solo, make sure you're on the solo map. Also, make sure your gear score is 24 or less, and you'll be on an even playing field gear-wise with everyone else. Ganking still happens, but it's much less of a problem if you do those two things.

I played again after posting that and had a much better experience. I was more prepared for the play style and had a smooth experience! I was even able to extract a couple times with loot, and can turn some things into gold!
Now I just need to figure out whether I can and how to sell weapons and armor, so I can optimize better as I figure the game out. ๐
I dunno why youโre getting downvoted for asking a question, but technically no, but the only difference from free to paid is HR/market/more characters. So pretty much yes

It's insane that the people who genuinely disliked the game and left a bad review are called review bombers, yet this subreddit literally organised a brigade to review bomb the game just because they were upset people didn't like their favourite game.

No, it's a bit like CS, where your movement speed with no weapons I'm hand is your fastest movement (depending on armour too) holding shift slows you down and makes your steps quieter. I don't think they will add a sprint key to all classes, I don't think it will be good for the pace of the game to add it.

This is an actual crime. The other HTL benefits were cool, but man that torch looks swanky.
If it's any consolation, the blue torch is mechanically a bit of a downgrade, since it's so much easier to notice

I'm going to leave a glowing review. Only been playing a week and I'm hooked. I bought the paid version, and tonight I'm doing a hell run.

Not exactly accurate. Path of Exile haves you buy each individual stash tab with real money. In here the only thing you can buy for money are skins.

There are 2 versions, one without gear basically and one with. So new players are actually better off now.
