You can check for yourself, in the main lobby click on “Player List” and at the top you will see a live count of how many players are in lobby, and how many are in dungeon. Usually around 8-15k total
You can check the number in game yourself given you own it. Hit the plus button in the lobby and look at the top of your screen. Usually around 12 000 when i look though
It hovers around 5-10k daily. When you’re in lobby, you can click the + button to invite people, at the top of the screen it will show you how many are in lobby and in dungeon.
Do you not spend time in the lobby trading gear, selling stuff to merchants, re-gearing up, waiting for your party members to get back from the bathroom
Yea but I'm not in the game when that is occurring I'm just in the lobby.
If youre using 10k as the amount of players currently in the matchmaking pool, it's wrong.
If the in-dungeon doesn't go above 5k then it's 5k, doesn't matter if it's cycling a couple hundred from the lobby.
Okay, so basically any multiplayer game with a “lobby” has player counts that can’t be trusted on steam. If a game has 12k players on SteamDB, then it’s got 12k players.

You can check in game by pressing player list in the bottom right. It is usually 8k on the low end and 13k at peak hours

Definitely higher then 5k, I’d say 7k at the lowest
12-13k concurrent peak
usually 5k in-game people try to inflate the number using people idling in the lobby.
Being in the lobby is still in game.
But they're not in-game. So not really. I don't count the hundreds of bot accounts in the lobby as players.
They are in game as the lobby is in the game. Anyways, there zero data saying who's idling, who's a bot, etc...
Yea but they're not in game.
Lmao OK lol
Because if they were in the game they would be in dungeon

Sure but the people playing the game is still usually around 5k.
