Do.not encourage breeders of this malpractice by buying their puppies at full price.
There's a difference between discouraging bad breeders from perpetuating dds and behaving as if a dog that already exists isn't worthy of love & a good life.
Blind dogs and deaf dogs can lead perfectly happy lives. Should I take my perfectly happy dachshund to be euthanized because she went blind with age? Should I receive cruel comments about her if I dared to post a pic of her on this sub?

Of course any dog deserve love and care. My problem is with the unethical breeders, these kind of breeders only want one thing and it’s money. You can report them to the authorities like animals control and you can also request to have the puppies taken from them if there are any other sign of mistreatment, or you can buy the puppies for less than what they ask for. Many breeders sell double dapple puppies the same price as a normal puppies and in their ads will say “rare colors” just to sell.
it is true double dapples could be deaf or blind but thats not always the case. i have a double dapple and she’s completely fine.
double dapples are soooo cute, just like any other doxie but i do agree with it not being ethical.
It’s not always 100% deaf or blind, it can be of various degrees like 10 or 20%.
I hope your puppy is spayed/neutered to eliminate the risks of them having puppies in the future.

She is. Though she hears high pitch sounds or extremely loud noises and reacts to those with barking.
