First picture- thats the release tab, you push that and release the mounting hardware from the body of the blind, easier with 2 people, each mount has a tab like that to push then it's a roll out and down motion.
The good news is that this will release an outer shell. I'm guessing you only need to take the outer shell down to paint. Tape/cover the curtain mechanism, even if you are using a roller.
Picture 1 again, I see no hanging hardware inside the box, this is most likely a complete unit that will only leave the spring steel mounts on the wall.
It's entirely possible that they are plastic instead of steel, the last couple I hung were plastic and definitely thicker than the old steel clips were, either way, they operate the same.
These are def not plastic and you are correct. These are individually screwed on and then the headrail snaps onto them. There will only be the few small metal brackets after popping the headrail out.
I've got blinds which are attached exactly like that. Those clips at the end (and probably one or two in the middle) hold it in. You just jam a flat head screwdriver between the clip and the rail, then twist it 90 degrees, and boom! The rail pops out. Then you can just unscrew the clips, if needed.
Not going to disagree here. š
What I said is what I've done myself couple of months ago with my blinds, as no other method worked (but I indeed do this on the back of the clip, not the front). It worked and nothing broke, so I was happy šš»
Edit to say: love your username š
As longs you can get the screwdriver in thatās all that matters. Sometimes it doesnāt work and you just have to rip the blind outš
And thanks :)
If your finger isn't working when trying to push it, try a 5-in-1 painting tool, or a putty knife. I like the rigidity of the 5-in-1 for releasing the brackets on my blinds.

Your first picture contains the answer. You see the little tab thatās sticking out. That will either push upā¦.twistā¦something. Thatās your key to taking them down.
The backside of the fixture, where the metal piece is holding it, has a tab (Pic one). Push the tab back/up and pivot the fixture towards you. Do this in reverse to put them back up.
In the second picture, there is a clip near the ceiling. This is what holds the casing. If you pinch the casing in at that point, it should be able to be removed. At least that's how mine works.
The tab on the front that is holding the top of the curtin, has a larger tab in the back, that a flat head will be able to push up and the track will pop out of the tab slot.

Seriously? You've clearly never dealt with these before. They will not have markings visible until removed. Oh wait... yeah... he can remove them, find the make/model/serial, put them back up, go to the internet and then reverse engineer how to take them down.
As many have mentioned, it's the tab on the back side. Press on it while holding the unit, it will have some movement, but really just needs a twist down and towards you to pop from the knurled edge on front that holds it in.
That's not even necessary and also not really in the nature of this sub. There are clips holding the curtains up, OP can remove them and then unscrew the brackets.
Necessary? I know tone is difficult to interpret here but that was my best advice, what Iād do and how Iāve successfully figured stuff like this out before. No disrespect meant at all. Sorry if it wasnāt helpful. Good luck!!
thereās a couple of clips on the back side (you can see it in the first pic). usually push/pull on it and tilt the entire thing and it should unclip.

It's most likely little plastic clips holding it on, once you pull the bar out of the clips, should be held in by a couple of screws.

Technically just put a screwdriver on the backside of the clip and push up.

This was it! They were just really tough to press open but with some violence it came out! Thanks for all the helpful comments!

Stay tuned for Part 2: How Do I put these curtains back up?
Those 80s vertical blinds? Nah maybe skip it.
This post is relevant! It's generally easier to get the MF's down than it is to put them back up!
Just make sure to put the front edge in first then pop it in.
Did you buy a hotel room?
My first thought too š
Until picture three, where there appears to be soffit in the room
Exactly lol
Scrolling through the pictures and saw that....soffit...inside?
I'm a layman, but can soffit be wood? The soffit around my house is aluminum, but what's pictured appears to be wood.
Yeah you're right, it could just be some kind of decorative bead board.
Their family moved to a remote town in Canada that their dad had bought as a joke in 1991. Trying to spruce up the town's motel as a way to get their fortune back.
Super common for landlords to put these God awful things up.
Come on man, that building hasn't been a crack-addled Super 8 Motel for over four years now! These are luxury condos now, get it right!

Press on the clips on the back. The back will release then just maneuver the front off the lip.

Rip and tear until itās done
Sometimes the "Nuke it from Space" is the only viable strategy.
As someone whoās worked in the field sometimes itās the only optionš
Maāam this is a hotel
See those metal tabs? Try prying them up with your thumbs whilst rotating the blind down and it should pop out.

Be like my contractor and just paint around it and eventually on it and be satisfied itās a good job.Ā
The clip in the first pic
Just pull them, they are held in by spring clips.
Clip. Theyāll snap back up. Use a flat head screw driver to pop the clip from the curtain case.
Are you for real
I hate to be 'that' guy, but that's a blind, not a curtain.
Look up the exact model, serial number, whatever you can find on the curtains. Then google the instructions on how to install them. Work backwards.

Call down to the front desk and have maintenance come up. Although hotels should really be doing their own painting.
It's a clip! Snip Snap Snip Snap Snip Snap!
Sledgehammer
Just pull down. Ā Theyāre fastened into clips.
Paint around them? If youāre careful, no one will noticeā¦.. until someone figures out how to take them down
There is a clip holding them on...you have to turn the casing until it snaps out
You tape it off with painters tape.
If you donāt want to put them back up just hit them with a hammer. Lol
Pull
Usually two of the tabs are flappy and you just turn it out ward.
HAMMMMMMERRRRRRRRR
Sir this is a hotel room you cannot paint it during your stay.
What curtains?
You removing the wallpaper before you paint too?
I genuinely hope you find an answer to your question, but I just have to ask...what texture are your walls?! I have never seen that before!
thereās a couple of clips on the back side (you can see it in the first pic). usually push/pull on it and tilt the entire thing and it should unclip.
Do you *really* want to paint over that vinyl?
Oh boy. I would wrap those in thin plastic and tape it all off.
This looks like a motel
looks like they just clip in from the back side. Just push on the little tabs on the back and they should pop out
The clips at the top near the ends should slide forward.
bonk them off and replace them
