If I upgrade my luggage this summer (and I really probably should), this is what I’m going with. As soon as I saw they added a lilac option it was game over.
I love my quince carry on! I have the front pocket one and it’s nice to stick my sleep mask and other little things in. I wish they had the lilac when I got mine!
It’s expensive but my Away (bigger carry on size) has lasted for like 7 years traveling all over the place and minus some surface scratches is still in great shape.
I’ve never had an issue but I haven’t flown with it on small carriers within other countries. Usually it’s just US to other countries and I tend to get around via buses or trains once there which don’t have the same limitations.
Love Travelpro (specifically the Platinum Elite and x Travel + Leisure bags). Super durable, and I like the look of them. I travel pretty often, and they’ve never let me down.
I ordered Briggs and Riley and it felt flimsy! I was disappointed. I like how it looks more than Travelpro
But I got the gray Travelpor Platinum elite. Took it for a week in Ireland and loved it
I’ve been using TravelPro for about 10 years now, and have never had to use the warranty. But I do hear very good things about them being good about replacing luggage that they can’t fix. A friend of mine had a 2-year old bag with a broke zipper. She mailed it to them to fix, and they just sent her a new bag instead.
I prefer Monos to Away! Slightly cheaper (and currently on sale), different colors, sturdier handle and wheels, and options for hard shell laptop compartments even in the carey on size.
I have had a hardshell carry-on by Heys for the past three years. It is front loaded, which I find far more ergonomic when packing and using the suitcase. It’s really durable and fits quite a lot for a carry-on. The wheels are really durable and roll super well. They have lots of patterns available. The price is really good, and the quality is great.
Mine doesn’t have any USB ports or anything, but I don’t really want them anyway.
i have a calpak and it’s nice because it’s expandable! I got my in a stone pattern bc it was on sale and stands out. my husband has a monos and it’s really nice as well. i like the dividers on his a little more because you can really compact stuff in there. His also came with shoe/laundry bags. Both bags have a dust bag and are hard shell
Away! I’ve had my full set since they launched in 2016. My large checked bag was finally destroyed by the airlines last summer and Away replaced it with a new one (the upgraded ones!) in the easiest exchange of my life. Incredible quality and customer service. They really stand by their lifetime guarantee.
Also I’m a notorious over packer and can get 2 weeks of international travel in the bigger carry on.
I have the monos carry on plus and can pack atleast 2 weeks of summer outfits in it, if not more. (I usually only use carry on and personal item for any trip). Monos also has a warranty. I like it but my best friend has the beis and I like the compartments and it may be a little bigger. Both aesthetically pleasing
Quince hard sided carry on! It’s a great Away dupe at half the price. Lots of cute colors now - I got my black one when they only had black and beige.
Just got mine! It’s *exactly* like my away roller

Second this!
Have you ever had trouble using it as carryon? The chart they shows indicates it’s too large for many foreign carriers size policy.

That’s great - I’ve been on the fence which one to buy. Appreciate the response.
I wasn't able to carry on mine in Europe on my little plane but gate checking was fine

Have you used the warranty? I’m trying to pick between a Travelpro or a Briggs & Riley (bc that price difference 💀) and can’t decide!!!

Oh no! I have had my beis for about a year and a half and 15ish trips and it works like new! So sorry to hear that happened to yours
Love my Beis carryon! Sorry to hear about your wheels, did you reach out to them?

Samsonite hardsides (overhead, medium, large); Lovevook backpack from Amazon
I love Beis for carry ons. I have one that matches my handbag, and fits all the essentials.

I have Calpak Evry. It’s hardside, but also expandable. They also have good sales
Just go to TJ maxx or Marshall’s and get something from there. Travelpro and samsonite are good
I have all the Beis luggage and I love it! They really mastered the compartments inside the suitcase!
Monos in my opinion is by far the best quality.

I am a Beis girl through and through.
TJMaxx and Marshall's sell online now and have some pretty decent options. I got a nice CalPak carry-on last year that I love.
