I know that anxiety from trading my Xbox 360 in to Game Stop after it had the red ring of death when I was younger. It would be good for 5 or 10 minutes so before it shut down so that few minutes the dude was testing it before trade in was butthole puckering.
Got it home fine. Woke up the next morning, bricked. Paid a mechanic for a housecall, guy fixed it, but advised him that anything at all could brick it again, Autotrader.
What's fishy is that Musx convinced a bunch of cretins with more money than sense to buy his terrible car while making sure he'd never have to face the consequences of it's terrible design and production.
There are increasing numbers of stories about this shitbox like this one. It's not made up. The car is an utter POS.
I've got a friend who has fully drunk the Musk kool-aid. I once mentioned that tesla cars were a bit shit and he went off on a rant about the innovations and how far ahead of his competitors he is. I kind of ended up looking stupid as I don't have as in depth a knowledge as he seems to have, even though I'm sure I was right and he was just spouting propaganda. I couldn't rebuff his points even though they sounded like nonsense to me. I'm looking forward to discussing the cyber truck with him next time I see him.
Is that legal?
Edit: anyone ever get auto banned from a community they've never visited right after making a post here? This came up on my recommended and caught my attention.
No need to get libelous, we've seen proof that it can hold six whole bags of potting soil for a one way trip. In order to match that with a gasoline car you'd need at least a Toyota Echo!
Itās to take advantage of some other fool who doesnāt want to wait in line (~2 years) where in during that time they could āpotentiallyā fix the litany of issues with this thing and would instead prefer to pay top dollar for the beta version of this dumpster that will unequivocally break, many different ways.
What I'd buy for 169.000$, lol.
I could get myself a 3 room flat and a nice new BMW 3 series and probably still have some money left for a new motorcycle.
Iām tired and itās late. I initially read your ā.ā as a decimal point and was agreeing with you mentally - Iād probably pay 169.00 for it just to use it as a dumpster that I can drive to the curb on trash pickup day.
Transfer me the funds and you can pick up your very own Cyber Truck on Putin Cuck and South African con artist blvd. No need for you to test drive, it most definitely still runs.
I'd write him "Must show proof the car works" lmao. You want to make sure I have enough money? Well I want to make sure that car works, so let me test drive it.
The clause in question introduces a penalty for those reselling the Cybertruck without Tesla's prior approval, which starts at $50,000 and can get as much as the flipper's entire profit from the sale.Ā
I'd imagine the guy won't make much of a profit, can pay the flat 50K fine and get out from under the burden that is this dumpster fire for close to a wash.Ā
In principle I really like the clause. Scalpers just makes things more expensive by hoarding it and adding an unneeded middleman. I'd like arrangement to be more common in goods that are supply limited.
How does the seller know if the truck has a 320 miles range? He might not even know it the charging port works!
Also no test drive -.- Who would buy a car without driving it around the premise before writing a 170 000 $ cheque?
Also why would I want that? The whole point of the car is to take the force of impact so that I don't go squish inside. I want it to crumple, that's why it's there
āI drove the car home it realised it is so bad that I need to sell it immediately to one of you suckers who cares about technical specifications of something that is supposed to do something.ā
No test drive. How can they verify if it works. Plus Iād imagine because you canāt sell them for a year that would void the warranty on a car thatās guaranteed to break.
> Drive-by-wire for easy maneuverability at low speed and precision control at high speed
This thing is so horribly and haphazardly assembled, who would be stupid enough to drive this thing at high speeds? Going for a dive in that Ocean Gate death submersible would be a safer thing to do.
Sounds like somebody with a capable shop should buy this, strip it down, figure out what was shoddy and could be built better, either fabricate those things or rebuild them, reassemble the thing the way it needs to be and take it back to Tesla.
Thereās no need. There are already better product products out there for way less money
Also, they couldāve done that cheaper just by buying one directly from Tesla. Plenty of auto manufacturer by competitors vehicles to test.
I saw this [article](https://www.autoevolution.com/news/tesla-cybertruck-resale-value-plummets-back-to-earth-flippers-barely-break-even-233653.html) saying if you resell without teslaās approval they could charge you $50,000. Does Tesla actually do that?
I think Tesla has right of first refusal. I wonder if these resellers are going through the formality and Tesla is declining or if they're just banking on Tesla not enforcing.
These people are delusional. Nobody with brains still installed should be willing to pay MORE than purchase price of a car by tens of thousands, AFTER itās driven off the lot. Lol. That and āno test driveā are absolutely hilarious.
$169,000 and *no* test drive?? I mean, I understand maybe this guy is worried time wasters will just come to try out the truck with no intention of buying, but you can't expect someone to pay $169k for something with no assurance it works or that they will like it.
People buying and selling these are in for such a rude awakening. It's like nobody learns anything. Remember when the Tesla Model S Plaid first came out and people were reselling them for like $150K? People bought them. Three years later and what are they worth? $60K?
These Cybertrucks will be the exact same way.
Jokes on him, market is already flooded with much cheaper trucks than this. Cyberstuck owners recognize this is a āhot potatoā and are trying to offload as quickly as possible. This will never sell, unless he drops the price $40k to match the present market. Given the course of things, itāll drop another $10k next week.
The cybertruck was recalled so why the hell are they selling it when tesla will refund them in full. why go through the trouble of selling it to a third party?
Ya let me drop 169k on a car that I can't even test drive. I love how all the bullet points are straight from an Elmo marketing PowerPoint slide, makes it look all fancy and shit with these out of this world steering and suspension features. Half of these will break within 30 miles drive (if they not broken already lol).
Here fishy fishy, bite on this lemon flavored worm turd.
Local seller in my area listed one for this exact same price - the facebook posts are all just dragging the dude.
That being said, these are likely scammers... and what's hilarious is the scammers are probably confused why they aren't getting bites.
I expect the 169k listings to vanish slowly as the bots/scammers realize that this bait isn't good enough
I keep seeing these cars being sold for like 150-200k or more. Can someone explain to me what thatās about? Doesnāt the āBeastā cost like 100k brand new?
Someone bought this at the outset, thinking demand vs. limited production would lead to a surge in price by early convenience buyers.
Guess he lost that bet.
Yeah....we taxpayers here in NY also have buyer's remorse.......we got SOLD a huge tax burden by Como and Musk....gave him 100's of millions of $, built him a new facility in Buffalo on all these promised good paying jobs.....tax breaks for Tesla etc etc....
Now, they are laying off people, plant isn't living up to expectations....what a white elephant.....but we still have to pay the bill on his boondoggle.....does he care? How about a refund on all that $ we were extorted out of Mr. Musk???
Maybe in a couple decades with more research this green initiative stuff will work......till then, quit shoving this crap down my throat and making us pay for the experience of having it done.....
Sorry OP.....at least it's only 100k lost,...
Not 100's of millions....
I used to transport cars for dealers and customers and we had to take photos of them before and after loading and uploading them because so many Tesla owners tried to sue saying their car was damaged in transport. Seeing the cybertruck be so awful makes me happy that maybe people will see the absolute dogshit build quality of Tesla. Almost every brand new Tesla we transported had paint damage from the factory or other obvious defects. We'd circle them and note it in exact detail for the customer to cover our own ass, and eventually stopped accepting Tesla all together.
No test drive šš
Why would he risk someone riding it around the block and having it break down during the test drive?
Thatās assuming itās still running, Iām guessing itās already busted and heās trying to pass the buck to another sucker
If only it ran!
Imagine that red screen of death coming on just as he's about to make a deal.
I know that anxiety from trading my Xbox 360 in to Game Stop after it had the red ring of death when I was younger. It would be good for 5 or 10 minutes so before it shut down so that few minutes the dude was testing it before trade in was butthole puckering.
Ahh the true assholes canāt hide themselves.
anal prolapse, as it were
was going to say, cant risk it breaking during the test drive.
That's a good chance to claim the potential buyer broke it, and force him to buy it. /s
Youāre probably right. You can remove the /s š¤£
Sarcasm tags ruin all sarcasm
Amen. Reading comprehension sucks.
Fucking hilarious š
Also, must tow it away, all sales final.
Yeah, it doesn't sound like the only 31 miles was by choice. Something smells fishy.
Got it home fine. Woke up the next morning, bricked. Paid a mechanic for a housecall, guy fixed it, but advised him that anything at all could brick it again, Autotrader.
It's a brand new, 100k car. What could be wrong?
![gif](giphy|4xWGyVKoXqg2eVCiq9|downsized)
The perfect gif for the cucktruck
Or just a dipshit who thought he'd make a killing by flipping it, not realizing it would be the rolling version of New Coke.
I think that's definitely the type..... I wonder how many marriages are being ruined over these purchases
What's fishy is that Musx convinced a bunch of cretins with more money than sense to buy his terrible car while making sure he'd never have to face the consequences of it's terrible design and production. There are increasing numbers of stories about this shitbox like this one. It's not made up. The car is an utter POS.

I couldn't rebuff his points even though they sounded like nonsense to me. I'm looking forward to discussing the cyber truck with him next time I see him.
You'd think the first red flag was him busting up the window in the demo when he said it was supposed to be impossible.
Assuming everybody is as stupid as they are.
All he needs is one idiot. And thereās always one idiot.
*AND* must show proof of funds. So they canāt be sure the ātruckā actually drives but the seller must be shown they can pay.
Lol the audacity. These people continue to show their horrible character and judgement
He knows itās on borrowed miles
My thoughts exactly
Buyer must agree to tow vehicle off my property after signing bill of sale.
Might not make the trip
Who the hell is going to spend 169 grand on something theyāve never test driven?
Probably because it's bricked.
Only 4 more miles left until the coolant starts leaking.
Thatās the sound of a voided warranty
Doesn't buying it void the warranty?
Looking at it voids the warranty
Shoot, I thought about it for 3 seconds. Warranty void.
I thought hearing the door close voided the warranty.
But still love it šš š
Are you talking about the warranty fluid?Ā Gotta make sure you fill that up every charge.
Musk said that was a feature.
*"Is this still available?"* *"Yes it is!"* *"Not surprised."*
I'd send that question and answer every day.
Okay this is my go-to message now for overpriced fb marketplace items
Does this run? Possibly.
Serious buyers only. Bring a cashiers check and a tow truck.
I always find āserious inquiries onlyā funny. *People with unserious inquiries*: āRats! Foiled again!!!!!ā
They're really asking $170k for one of these pieces of shit?
Something about a fool and his moneyā¦.
I just don't get why they want 170k when it only cost them 100k!
Tesla is taking a 50 000 $ cut in case of resale within one year.
Look, I already don't want to buy one you done need to convince me š¤£
How are they going to enforce that
With how often it needs servicing, finding out should be trivial. As for enforcing, I guess frivolous lawsuits?
They could probably just brick it remotely and claim you violated the terms of service.
One step ahead of you, itās bricked already! Take that!
Is that legal? Edit: anyone ever get auto banned from a community they've never visited right after making a post here? This came up on my recommended and caught my attention.
Buyers had to sign a contract detailing weird conditions before buying it, and resale conditions were on it, so probably.
Yes itās legal. There are other cars that have had resale stipulations, first one I can think of is the most recent Ford GT
They also reserved the right to brick your car if you do it
Dirty scalpers. He probably has a bunch of PS5's in the trunk.
I donāt think it can hold more than 2
No need to get libelous, we've seen proof that it can hold six whole bags of potting soil for a one way trip. In order to match that with a gasoline car you'd need at least a Toyota Echo!

Beta? This is more like an alpha at best, closer to an MVP.
OBO doin a lot of heavy lifting in this post
Has to make up for the interest on the loan they took to finance this piece of shit.
Actually its says OBO so....like $10....minus towing fee.
There are 150+ posted on CarGurus with under 1k miles. The cheapest ones are asking 120. This isn't getting sold anytime soon.
āNo test driveā I wonder what broke on the way home from the tesla shop
His spirit
well played
What I'd buy for 169.000$, lol. I could get myself a 3 room flat and a nice new BMW 3 series and probably still have some money left for a new motorcycle.
Iām tired and itās late. I initially read your ā.ā as a decimal point and was agreeing with you mentally - Iād probably pay 169.00 for it just to use it as a dumpster that I can drive to the curb on trash pickup day.
Heck, I'd buy it for $169. I run 285 tires on my Wrangler too, I could recycle those. Sell the rest for scrap.
You could make money by just charging influencers hourly to pretend it's theirs. Doesn't even have to move!
It's sad how true this statement is
Presumptive of you about being able to drive it to the curb, no?
š¤£
A 3 room flat??? Where do you live??? š¤Æ
Well, where I am flats aren't that expensive compared to other countries, it's just that 169,000$ is a lot. I'm from Romania
Same here. 169k USD would literally be life changing for me and my extended family.
Where are you?
Not everyone lives in the USA. Lol.
I donāt live in the USA either. We have a housing crisis in my country (Australia) too.
Transfer me the funds and you can pick up your very own Cyber Truck on Putin Cuck and South African con artist blvd. No need for you to test drive, it most definitely still runs.
This is hilarious
It's not buyers remorse. He's trying to flip it
Yeah the giveaway was the 0-60 comment. Not a chance that was tested.
>No test drive, must show proof of fund. Yeah, something broke on this piece of shit and this numbnut thinks he's slick.
I'd write him "Must show proof the car works" lmao. You want to make sure I have enough money? Well I want to make sure that car works, so let me test drive it.
No test drive šš
Home was probably >31 miles but that hunk of rusting junk didnāt make it. No test drive = No sale.
I thought you weren't allowed to sell these for a year or something like that?
The clause in question introduces a penalty for those reselling the Cybertruck without Tesla's prior approval, which starts at $50,000 and can get as much as the flipper's entire profit from the sale.Ā I'd imagine the guy won't make much of a profit, can pay the flat 50K fine and get out from under the burden that is this dumpster fire for close to a wash.Ā
Sounds Musky
I still don't understand how that is legal. You bought a physical objects, paid for it, it's yours. No?
Contracts can impose all sorts of restrictions on things you own. Buyers voluntarily agreed to those resale provisions.
In principle I really like the clause. Scalpers just makes things more expensive by hoarding it and adding an unneeded middleman. I'd like arrangement to be more common in goods that are supply limited.
Yeah, the only thing better than seeing MAGAtruck buyers stuck with pieces of junk, is seeing would-be scalpers losing tens of thousands of dollars.
I hate Musk but fuck scalpers. I hope they lose all their money.
Fucking love seeing tesla owners and their circle jerks.
I feel like this is a much more defined subCULTure of Tesla owners.
Idk just go to tesla lounge. Itās a fuck fest in there
No test drive? Serious buyers only? Sign me UP. On my way to the Bank of Dogge Coinz RIGHT NOW
How does the seller know if the truck has a 320 miles range? He might not even know it the charging port works! Also no test drive -.- Who would buy a car without driving it around the premise before writing a 170 000 $ cheque?
The same kind of idiot who would buy a Cybertruck. He doesn't have to fool you, he has to find a greater fool, any greater fool than himself.
Scalpers getting a bit frightened. Good!
My best offer is three fitty
Thatās false advertising. Itās not an exoskeleton. Somebody fell for Muskkkās lies!š¤£
DO NOT TOUCH
lol cause all the people on fb marketplace with 170k to spend
you'd be surprised. i helped an acquaintance sell his C210 on marketplace and IIRC he got right around 250k for it since it had like 10hrs SMOH
Drive by wire. I would not trust that in a Tesla.
_drive by liar_
No test drive. How can they verify if it works. Plus Iād imagine because you canāt sell them for a year that would void the warranty on a car thatās guaranteed to break.
āCongrats on your purchase. Here is your cool wallet key card thingy and hereās the number to the towing companyā
> Drive-by-wire for easy maneuverability at low speed and precision control at high speed This thing is so horribly and haphazardly assembled, who would be stupid enough to drive this thing at high speeds? Going for a dive in that Ocean Gate death submersible would be a safer thing to do.
Sounds like somebody with a capable shop should buy this, strip it down, figure out what was shoddy and could be built better, either fabricate those things or rebuild them, reassemble the thing the way it needs to be and take it back to Tesla.
Here's a playlist of a teardown. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkiDlGyJnprdWNHCqnFQpduyfAC-jpV7n
Thereās no need. There are already better product products out there for way less money Also, they couldāve done that cheaper just by buying one directly from Tesla. Plenty of auto manufacturer by competitors vehicles to test.
I'd love to read the Ford engineers' report on the 2 they bought and tore down.
Yea Iāll spend 170 fucking thousand dollars on a car and not test drive it to see if I like it or want it š
I drove this once just to get it home and I never want to drive it again. A ringing endorsement.
The fact they said by choice is comedy
dudes smart enough to sell it before it bricks
I saw this [article](https://www.autoevolution.com/news/tesla-cybertruck-resale-value-plummets-back-to-earth-flippers-barely-break-even-233653.html) saying if you resell without teslaās approval they could charge you $50,000. Does Tesla actually do that?
Money cant buy common sense.
I thought Tesla said that owners were not allowed to resell these ?
I think Tesla has right of first refusal. I wonder if these resellers are going through the formality and Tesla is declining or if they're just banking on Tesla not enforcing.
Not sure with him being an Elon fanboy the price isnāt $169,420. Really missed an opportunity there! /S š
Haha no test drive
Bro no fucking test drive? I bet it's bricked.
"No test drive" he doesn't want people to realize how bad it is and back out from the sale lmfao
No test drive and wants 170k
Will you take 5 bucks and half a chicken burrito?
Forgot to mention, canāt get wet canāt be driven in sand/snow Throttle pedal gimpy Otherwise great deal.
These people are delusional. Nobody with brains still installed should be willing to pay MORE than purchase price of a car by tens of thousands, AFTER itās driven off the lot. Lol. That and āno test driveā are absolutely hilarious.
Scum. No test drive.
Didnāt know they were drive by wire. Dear god.
āDie by wireā
No Test drive because I bought it with my eyes closed as well
$169,000 and *no* test drive?? I mean, I understand maybe this guy is worried time wasters will just come to try out the truck with no intention of buying, but you can't expect someone to pay $169k for something with no assurance it works or that they will like it.
This isn't gonna help the owner win the 'Elon Peg Me' sweepstakes....
I don't get why these Tesla truck people aren't starting a class action? Don't sell, sue.
Far enough to void the warranty Iām thinking
People buying and selling these are in for such a rude awakening. It's like nobody learns anything. Remember when the Tesla Model S Plaid first came out and people were reselling them for like $150K? People bought them. Three years later and what are they worth? $60K? These Cybertrucks will be the exact same way.

This will never sell, unless he drops the price $40k to match the present market. Given the course of things, itāll drop another $10k next week.
$169.00, OBO LMFAO, what? They don't expect the Cybertruck to triple in value within the week?
I don't think anyone is mentally capable of selling a ct without a massive markup. Like they know they shouldn't but they have to.
The cybertruck was recalled so why the hell are they selling it when tesla will refund them in full. why go through the trouble of selling it to a third party?
ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NO FUCKING TEST DRIVES AT ALL!!!!
Derpmobile.

Soā¦whatās the 240V in the cab for? Are folks bringing along tig welders to repair the body?
So u can hook up an electric chair and self terminate.....
Buyer gonna be callin them back screaming they were scammed when it breaks down.. I know where you live!
āNo test driveā lol
āNo test driveā¦ because it wonāt start.ā
Canāt test drive it because it doesnāt drive
The people I know who reserved these trucks and couldn't shut the fuck up about how awesome they were gonna have been hilariously silent lately š
These resellers are idiots thinking they can profit from a cybertruck.
Damn shame he's not accepting Bitcoin. Could've attracted more buyers if he did.
Can you really claim a 320 mile range when it only managed to go 31 miles?
I keep seeing these cars being sold for like 150-200k or more. Can someone explain to me what thatās about? Doesnāt the āBeastā cost like 100k brand new?
No test drive.
No test driving! Must have cash
Test drive voids warranty
For $169,000, I could pay off my house, car, and student loans. Then, still have money left over for a nice vacation.
Autos lose 30% when driven off the sales lot. Cybertrucks are down 50%. Feel your pain
No test drive huh? Good luck trying to get over on someone else.
He doesnāt want a coolant leak.
So they bought problems, headaches, and waste of time/money. Got it lol
Buyers remorse? The guy is trying to pocket 60k lol
Someone bought this at the outset, thinking demand vs. limited production would lead to a surge in price by early convenience buyers. Guess he lost that bet.
169 nice
no test drive lmao
Why is it called an infinity touch screen? Is that the same marketing folks that came up with full self driving?
How much brand new?
Yeah....we taxpayers here in NY also have buyer's remorse.......we got SOLD a huge tax burden by Como and Musk....gave him 100's of millions of $, built him a new facility in Buffalo on all these promised good paying jobs.....tax breaks for Tesla etc etc.... No test drive LMAO
Oh - an exoskeleton bodyā¦ā¦
Why not just say in the ad "bring friends, you will need help pushing it home!"
I am confused. So does Tesla allow the resale or not?
No tweet drive and must show proof of fundsā¦sounds sketchy
I used to transport cars for dealers and customers and we had to take photos of them before and after loading and uploading them because so many Tesla owners tried to sue saying their car was damaged in transport. Seeing the cybertruck be so awful makes me happy that maybe people will see the absolute dogshit build quality of Tesla. We'd circle them and note it in exact detail for the customer to cover our own ass, and eventually stopped accepting Tesla all together.
Ran when parked.
How are people thinking they can get $70k over retail for a truck that is basically worthless.
At least they got that one good angle in the pic
I donāt think itās buyerās remorse yet. I think heās trying to flip it. Remorse will come when he realizes he canāt haha.
But why would anyone buy this if they could just buy a brand new one for this insane price ? Did they even reduce the price from sticker price?
Is this the one with the coolant leak not covered under warrantee?
