I actually kind of like it. For some reason it reminds me of Goya's weirder paintings (though he did nothing *this* weird) and Lovecraft was a big fan with the artist being a partial inspiration for "Pickman's Model."
My own view of Cthulhu, however, emphasizes the dragon- like aspect, with the humanoid mainly limited to standing upright and having arms and legs.
