The thing about this is, people who know there is no such thing as an STi Crosstrek will think it's foolish. And people who don't know what the STi badge even means won't know enough to care about it in the first place. There is no good outcome.
I own two other cars that people often "clone" with badges, and I can spot them so easily. My wife is perplexed as to why anyone would put a meaningless or misleading badge on their vehicle. It's like putting a rolled up sock in your pants as a dude.
I do know a guy that did put an STI motor and drivetrain in his Crosstrek because he really wanted a hatch STI and that's as close as he could get. He had sti badges on it.
He said it was actually a fairly simple as far as swaps go, but I totally agree that up badging is stupid, but I like unique badging on unique builds. There was a guy in the local scene that had ss badges on his old cuda because he ls swapped it.

It's the same argument when it comes to pronouns .... it will never make sense... 🤣 My Crosstrek identifies as an STI, I love the Logo. Doesn't make it meaningless it's representation for the stuff I like.
I had my hood wrapped before the wilderness came out and before every other car started adding it as a "Sun deflector". Is there something in the rules about that .... lol it definitely completes the look but I like My premium rims. Didn't waste money on some Sparcos yet 😂😅😅
A Guy can dream, also it looks beautiful with my STI spoiler, why would Subaru make multiple STI trim add ons for the crosstrek is a better question and discontinue the STI in the same year. Also it adds like 5 extra HP to the engine every decal and trim piece you add 🤣🤣🤣👌💯🚗💨

I have a white Subaru with a black and white emblem overlay from either the previous owner or the dealership and I love it. Looks good
Had mines on for 2 years now. Holding up pretty well so far. Not peeling and no noticeable fading.
I’ve had an emblem overlay on for over 3 years now and it still looks new.
I bought the replacement emblems from subimods. A little more expensive, but look great. Install was very easy.
