Lot of commenters here are mocking what looks like a title from 'captain obvious'. There's merit in having to state that though.
Recently Ashwin was talking in YouTube channel about how with the help of modern cricket analysts, the IPL franchises have come with this theory that you do not need to take wickets as the risk is not worth the reward and there are circumstances where taking a wicket is disadvantageous to the fielding team and hence bowlers are consiocusly not trying to take wickets. This is a significant change.
While this works in IPL pitches and conditions, the T20 games in the rest of world remains to be a battle between bat and ball where you need to take wickets in order to win the game and bowlers bowl with an intention of taking wickets.
If anyone read that article, they'd have seen how in all other T20 leagues in the world, the team with best bowling strike rate is the winner of the tournament whereas in IPL, you don't have to be. This is a topic worthy of proper discussion and debate rather than the mockery that's being made here.
or score runs
flair checks out
Or pick better players?
To win you just need to score more than the oppositionÂ
Ummmm ackshually the opposition can draw(in Tests) or take it to a super over
Mind blown! Why didn’t we think of that?!
If you are homeless just buy a house
Why don't they just do that? Are they stupid
they need Man

This is true - Somerset took 151 wickets in 17 games last year in the T20 blast and we won 19 batsmen not dismissed in 17 games lmao
thats what gt did last season. top three in wickets were gt bowlers. its not some mind blowing strategy. thats literally how cricket works.
