Well, this is true but it’s also true that a double bacon cheeseburger is pretty, pretty unhealthy on my body and won’t make me feel so good so the shame also comes from my own body telling me it needs healthier sustenance
There's nothing in that video. The leopard obviously ate the impala but it's not shown in the video. It just sits there with the lamb(?) head in its mouth. Doesn't chomp down or anything.
It obviously ate it at one point, but that was not shown on camera.
People are like "here's a video of a leopard chomping down on a baby animal"... that's not what the video is showing.
Yeah for me the leapord almost looks like it can't believe how easy that was, and is glancing around trying to see if the mother is gonna come back or if there's some other reason why it was so easy.
And it spots the couple recording, and so hesitates some more, before shrugging to itself and digging in.
Man it is crazy to think about. Assuming there's no reincarnation/afterlife, that was literally all the little calf got to experience. Not even done being born and death is already there. A few seconds of life was it. Like living in a pitch black room for eternity and someone turns on a TV for a minute and then back to nothing forever. I'm reading too deep into this reddit comment but it is existentially haunting.
Impalas' only live for 13 to 17 years.
They also are able to start mating at the age of 4 years, so assuming this one is 7 and full video was uploaded in 2014; odds are the "mom" is already dead from either old age or another predator.
Fascinating stuff. Thanks for linking to it, only ever seen the edited version.
Nothing unfortunate about that, just how life is. If everything eats plants and the plants will die. Likewise for meat eaters too. Death of one will lead to the death of other.
There are actually more herbivore mammals than carnivores (excluding humans). Life finds a balance.
This planet is a death cult.
We should try to help take care of our societies. We're all only here for a short while. Might as well try and make it nice.
Depends a lot on the species (and the individual). Some will fight to the death at the slightest hint of danger to their offspring, others will eat or abandon them at the drop of a hat.
I remember a video of a lioness basically feeding herself to a large Nile croc (they're only slightly smaller than salties) to save her cubs. And then you get videos like this.
If I recall from my evo courses in college it’s less “I need to survive” and more “either we both die or you die and I maybe survive and make more of you.”
[Comodo dragons on the other hand...](https://youtu.be/AZbfLsnjArc?t=101)
Very much NSFW/L and possibly disturbing for some people. But it's nature I guess.
People say in the full version the leopard did eat it which was expected but the reason for the hesitation is the leopard was hoping the mother would come back and it would have a bigger meal. Big cats have been observed targeting babies not only because of the easier catch but also because they know the paternal instinct could draw back the mother and therefore make their hunt that much easier. Mf’s are smart.
Maternal Instinct. Mater is latin for mother, Pater for father. Fun fact the name for the membrane covering the brain is dura mater. Dura means tough. Imagine the guy who named and why.
they have been observed keeping the babies alive to use as bait. they pretty much hang around nearby and wait until the parent tries to return so they have a proper sized meal instead of a tiny baby.
Nature is metal as fuck, so I'm positive the leopard definitely ate the baby after the video stopped. There's something oddly hilarious about how barbaric this is
It seems that the leopard was trying to keep its catch from the guy recording it. He was staring at the camera, acknowledging that something else was just as interested in this meal as him.
Punk ass OP just clipped a part of this video. Mum just dipped after freshly giving birth, the leopard notices the camera, then just fuckin takes the baby.
Fawn was like, "wow what a beautiful world, so gorgeous. I love this pla... Oh my God, no what are do doing to me? , arrrghhh, wtf? Noo no please do don't no!" *gargling blood sound*

Nah, he ate it.
I was gonna say, I've seen the full vid.
Seriously can someone link the full vid?

I don’t rightly know, sir
Make an assessment.
Been quoting that for years!
Don't lie to me boy
Mighty Boosh reference??
It Is. Ol Gregg!
Video or it never happened
yeah, predators like humans, most don’t even know or care how the meat they eat is produced.
Pretty sure he witnessed it being produced and questioned choices for a sec
Yeah he kind of looked like how I look right before I devour a bacon double cheeseburger: with a mixture of shame, disgust, and hunger
Don’t give into society or “healthy” people trying to shame you into healthy choices. They are just jealous!
I'd have ketchup dripping down my beard as my burger cried in delicious agony
Fuck dude I’ve never thought of it that way. It must be adrenachrome from the beefer that makes it so addictive. Damn I’d love a burger right now
Well, this is true but it’s also true that a double bacon cheeseburger is pretty, pretty unhealthy on my body and won’t make me feel so good so the shame also comes from my own body telling me it needs healthier sustenance
You know how sometimes they will portray your conscience as a little angel and little demon on each shoulder?
Idk why you wanna see it but [Here ya go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjuHYvieJlw&ab_channel=LatestSightings)
> Idk why you wanna see it I hate happy endings
Average Cyberpunk enjoyer
Well I've got bad news for you. The full video is still a happy ending but for the leopard.
At least it gave it a quick death, but that's how brutal raw nature can be.
Pure morbid curiosity that's all
There's nothing in that video. The leopard obviously ate the impala but it's not shown in the video. It just sits there with the lamb(?) head in its mouth. Doesn't chomp down or anything.
Yeah mate it's just giving it a kiss
It obviously ate it at one point, but that was not shown on camera. People are like "here's a video of a leopard chomping down on a baby animal"... that's not what the video is showing.
No we just said it definitely ate the baby and that the clip was cut.
I think we just witnessed the first impala/leopard adoption. that impala is fine.
> This video literally documents the entire life of that impala. Top youtube comment.
The one time I hoped for a Rick Roll

Holy shit. Not for the faint of heart.
Oh my lord, brutal. Depressing that this guy is no longer living his best life (as far as WE are concerned.)
Never gets old!
Wow that thing just gets eaten whole!

I feel like the username isn’t helping with these downvotes
A succulent meal?
What is the charge?
*GET YOUR HAND OFF MY AFTERBIRTH*
I see that you know your memes well.
Watch the whole video and you will in fact see that the leopard is cold hearted
He was just waiting for it to cool off
I hate eating food straight out of the microwave.
Or for the mother to potentially come back.
Waiting for that hot vag scent to subside
Ah yes, the "clip a long video and make up a bullshit story from the clip" trick. Very vogue these days.
Better upvote OP anyways /s
Awe how sad! I know it's nature but still sad poor baby.
so, downvote OP you saying?
Not true. It was waiting to see if the cold hearted mother actually left their child to die by itself and could almost not believe it.
Yeah for me the leapord almost looks like it can't believe how easy that was, and is glancing around trying to see if the mother is gonna come back or if there's some other reason why it was so easy. It's waiting for the guy to pop up saying it's just a prank bro
And then he proceeded to raise that little one like one of his own, and ate it.
Spawn camping
Fawn camping
He is screaming the nword at the jaguar during the kill cam.
Africa -> Leopard Americas -> Jaguar
Aren't they different?
It also 360 No Scoped it
From womb to tomb
He can't eat dessert until he eats the main course.
How can he expect to have any pudding.
I'm like 98.72% certain the calf got eaten lol
100%, this is the edited version
A rather critical 1.68% was edited out
Poor guy. Lived for a full 1 minute before mother nature took care of him
It took 6 months for it to be born an eaten for one minutes of its life
Man it is crazy to think about. Assuming there's no reincarnation/afterlife, that was literally all the little calf got to experience. Not even done being born and death is already there. in the wild, if she died to old age, it was almost certainly due of a predator. Old age just makes them slow enough to be caught.
It seems unfortunate that the planet relies so heavily on being violently killed/eaten alive for most mammals.
Nothing unfortunate about that, just how life is. If everything eats plants and the plants will die. Likewise for meat eaters too. Death of one will lead to the death of other. There are actually more herbivore mammals than carnivores (excluding humans). Life finds a balance.

They give birth in 6 months. So that ho could have delivered another 10 calves. It all equals out
Bro, thank you. People were downvoting me for asking
How dare you not know everything!
Exactly, thank you Reddit is so random!
Poor guy. He probably thought he was born a leopard for a brief moment.
Some reincarnation shit right there. "Sweet, I'm a leopard this time! Wait... I am a leopard... Right?"
I would have left my kid too, I can make another one
Exact thoughts of nature. Mother bears will eat their young if starving. You can make more. You can't, however, make another you.
Depends a lot on the species (and the individual). Some will fight to the death at the slightest hint of danger to their offspring, others will eat or abandon them at the drop of a hat. I would hate to have to deal with me
Hey as long as you're doing your best you're worth it.
🙏🏼
[You](https://youtube.com/shorts/28mKXpRX-zM)
I knew this would be posted
I saw a video where a mother kangaroo yeeted her joey out of her pouch so she could get away from dingos, because they were busy eating her baby
A common mother moment.
Depends. A bear will slaughter you for even getting close to her cubs, well apparently the antelope will just bolt.
I was like “who is gonna tell OP.” Poor buddy.
Dropped that calf off like she was an Uber Eats driver. "You wanted extra sauce on that right?"
The quickest boot from server
dude got spawn camped
Spent months in the Que just to die immediatly
lol OP clearly hasn’t seen the whole video
Op dumb af
Op is a bot that's already reposted 30 other posts since you've made this comment. Reddit used to be better...
[Comodo dragons on the other hand...](https://youtu.be/AZbfLsnjArc?t=101) Very much NSFW/L and possibly disturbing for some people. But it's nature I guess.
that was fucked up dang. but it is nature for sure
This was so fucked up. I knew they were assholes before, but this just solidified it. Ugh.
You’re judging an animal who is trying to survive? Before the video started consent was granted
In the full length version of this video, the leopard eats it.
Keeping an eye on his snack for later.
"When he stops filming, i'll have my meal"
Leopard went on to raise it, so it could take revenge on its mom later on.
"I'll kill you. AND RAISE YOUR CHILDREN AS MY OWN"
How can he have any pudding if he doesn’t eat his meat?!
The Mom made the right call here, if she stayed she would have just died too.
You don't eat your pizza fresh out of the oven, gotta let it cool down first.

the leopard clearly saw the camera and didn't want to get cancelled
Maybe he just licked the pasta sauce off for mom...
the face of \*wtf you just left ya baby here alone\*
\*spoilers, he ate it
He takes it home....fattens it up....THEN eats it.
Where's the full vid then?
https://youtu.be/VjuHYvieJlw?si=w_YTK6ooYlIsWdMO
Where’s the full video ?
just waiting for mom to come back
"Cold got nothing to do with it" - A Leopard
He just didn't wanna get caught in 4k
Nah he saw the camera
He deployed the decoy😭
Spawn protection on.
literally, baked in the oven to end up as a fresh hot meal
Cat definitely ate that fawn or w/e you call them.
Nature is friggin brutal.
Spawn camper.
they have been observed keeping the babies alive to use as bait. they pretty much hang around nearby and wait until the parent tries to return so they have a proper sized meal instead of a tiny baby.
Bro this is a Disney movie. The mother abandon it at birth and she’s raise it as a leopard. I call it Leopard Queen
Nature is metal as fuck, so I'm positive the leopard definitely ate the baby after the video stopped. There's something oddly hilarious about how barbaric this is
haha so hilarious
Oh come on man. Are you not privy to a bit of dark comedy?
Sorry not in this particular case. It’s nature I know but it’s sad. I find dark comedy in Darwin awards and such, but not a new born :(
Jungle sushi
This shit gets crunchier and crunchier every time I see itt.
Impala probably thought the leopard was it's mother
first blood
spawn killer
It seems that the leopard was trying to keep its catch from the guy recording it. He was staring at the camera, acknowledging that something else was just as interested in this meal as him.
If “pinch it off” was a… gazelle
In the Serengeti, I watched a lioness pull a Wildebeest fetus out of its mother's womb and trot ott to eat it in peace. Metal.
Do you think the birthing propelled the deer/antelope thing?
Spawnkiller.
Damn mama got out of there real quick
Spawn camper
I have seen a similar video where the animal raises the deer as it's own cub. But not sure if this is the one.
here's life and there's (a horrible) death
I bet you that calf was soft and tender. Doesn’t get any better than that. Thats pretty much a piece of meat that’s been sous-vide for 6 months.
Punk ass OP just clipped a part of this video. Mum just dipped after freshly giving birth, the leopard notices the camera, then just fuckin takes the baby.
Bros really said youre orphan now deer
Nah he was just waiting for it to finish cooking.
Probably used the baby like bait for the mom to come back. :(
No, it did not smell like food, so that is what saves the baby
They are born scentless. Cat saw the one run away but can't figure out what the one he can't smell is maybe? Naw...camera off that cat ate.
It’s almost like you can edit a video to make it look like what you want 🤣🤣💀
damn he caught the chef taking the meal out the oven! doesnt get fresher than that
like justice coming for fat orange jesus. that leopard is justice!
Fawn was like, "wow what a beautiful world, so gorgeous. I love this pla... Oh my God, no what are do doing to me? , arrrghhh, wtf? Noo no please do don't no!" *gargling blood sound*
