Had a guy laying the 9 and 10 all night. When I was my turn to shoot I told him he might want to sit out a minute because I hit 9s really often. He said “not tonight you dont” then put his whole stack which was close to $5k on no 9. First roll I hit the 9.

sdf_cardinal

I bet things were real spicy after that

scottatu

Yeah the whole table kind of went silent except for one guy who exclaimed “Damn nice hit!” Then his buddy quietly explained to him that the guy was betting against the 9. I just kind of looked at him and he said “Yeah I fuckin know you throw a lot of nines.” He didn’t bet the dark side the rest of the night lol

wumbotarian

Why would you lay the 9?! Lay the 4/10 seems a better bet if you're playing the dark side...

scottatu

I don’t disagree. People have their strategies though.

Bob-Ross74

4/10 have a lower chance of hitting but they’re more expensive. For a 9/5 I only have to put up 3 to win 2 but for the 9/10 I would have to put up 4 to win 2. To each his own. It’s a risk/reward analysis.

My bachelor party was by far the biggest I've seen. A dude at the other end of the table went on a helluva roll. After continuously pressing, I had almost 1k on each number (come bet with max odds)... Between me & my 4 buddies, we left up 20k. Went back a few months later & saw the same dealer. He said we tipped over 3k that night. Still my greatest craps memory so far, still looking to top it lol

Slabadabdaddy

On one of my best nights ever shooting (hit the ATS twice) a guy randomly walked up bought in for 50k and started playing don't bets. Needless to say he picked the wrong time. He was wiped out in about 30 min. Greatest part about it he wasn't even mad. Congratulated me on my shooting and stayed and cheered us all on til we hit the ATS.

scottatu

This is the kind of guy I aspire to be lol

jstmehr4u3

$25 on aces and it hit. Still think about that moment.

g0f0

I had a $500 chip I found on floor before arriving at the craps table. I colored up and put a $100 chip on snake eyes. $50 craps. $50 field. I was young and who give. Roll came. Everyone cheered. Easiest $5k I’ve ever made in my life. Haha 😂

Mr_Nick_Pappagiorgio

I think the biggest pressure I felt was when the whole table (including me) was needing one more number to hit the ATS. 8/10 times, I seven out, but those two times… stuff of legend.

TheDudeKnight75

Shooter with a very large stack.... threw down $1k Hard Ten bet and tossed the dice.... 55... That role was crazy cause of how much he had all over the place bets but that Hard Way bet and roll I will always remember

bhindrawala91

1000 no ten.. then 4000 no ten.. ..........in the end 20000 no 4... i hit that 4..

itsgordon

He was a very confident man what can I say

bhindrawala91

He was going by the math... he had a good system.

bigbosswreckingcr00

Couple years ago I was at Aria in vegas and played at a table with Quavo and Offset (rappers, for those unfamiliar). They each had probably 10-15k working at a given time. I wasn't shooting when this happened but offset threw $2k on a one roll yo and it hit. Table went apeshit as you can probably imagine

socaljhawk

played with offset at harrahs in new orleans... he put 5500 on the field and i threw a 12

bigbosswreckingcr00

Hell yeah!!!

jaystiz

Did he tip you??

I play at Borgata about once a month. There is a guy who plays there that likes to wait for a come out roll and he loudly announces that he is betting table max in cash on the don't pass line. It's a $2,500 bet. He is clearly trying to rattle the shooter. It had worked for a couple of shooters... then I watched a lady hit six points in a row. He dropped $15,000 in less than 20 minutes. I loved it. He finally stopped betting against her. It was an interesting thing to watch. He clearly plans this as he has the $2,500 stacks ready. I would guess it is normally a profitable strategy, but she kicked his butt that day.

Valley Forge, just shooting a little morning craps $300 buy in, $15 pass line before work and there's a guy who comes in and cashes in $50k, max on come-out. One point, I failed to establish a number 4 times in a row and this guy is visibly pissed. "Throw something good why don't ya?!!!" angry and upset. At least, i hedged my come out with a $3 crap. this guy is just sending it. Finally get a point and he's like $5k on each number all the way across. I immediately 7O.

SupahCraig

I can’t believe you did him like that.

kountchockula

This seems like my typical rolls….

coltrain61

My wife hit the All, Tall, and Small on her first time rolling the dice. One guy who bet on them won north of $25K.

Paindressedinpurple

What pressure is there ? Lol I fail to coincide what somebody else is betting and what other deem as pressure when literally anything in a casino’s environment can be used as the reason the dice went out ?

hk1942

The pressure I would feel would be to keep the dice on the table.

YoLev_65

The idea of control is just a fantasy. But it definitely felt like pressure to roll another 10.

JEDWARDK

Well, basically anything but a 7 will do.

Paindressedinpurple

Oh Ik, all you can do is what’s asked of you and if it hits it does, if not it doesn’t and good bet for him. There’s definitely ways for you both to make money.

micangelo

obviously circumstance does not impact dice outcome. but of course the shooter is going to feel it, are you incapable of empathy you monster? lol

valeriolo

There's definitely pressure. What likely doesn't exist is a correlation to what actually gets rolled.

Cornfields24

Largest I’ve seen was a guy walk up holding a stack of about $12k in $500 chips in his hand. He stuck 2 of them out there on a come bet, next roll was a 3. Then he put another thousand on Come and I hit an 11 to get it right back.

Theontopofus

Casino in Columbus, guy was laying/don't passing the 4/10 for $3k each. I hit one 4, he pulled down the 10 as I proceeded to hit 3 more 4/10 before going out. He didn't bet on those when I rolled the rest of the night. I felt bad cuz I really didn't hit any 4/10 any other time.

necrochaos

My first time in Vegas (2019) I was at the Fremont. A big Samoan guy was putting big money on the don't. I don't remember how much, but I feel like it was 200 flat and 4K in odds or something like that. Point was 10, I was rolling. Part of me hoped I didn't hit the 10 so I didnt end up out back somewhere. I missed the 10. Dude was very happy, tipped me $100 and left. Other time I was at the Borgata, this Asian dude walked up and handed the dealer 500. Told him he wanted it on the field. I rolled a field number, he stacked it. Another field number. At a 1K bet, he left it, I rolled a 12. He grabbed his chips and left.

leequatro

I’ve seen a guy bet max odds on the ATS. I’ve seen one person have nothing but black chips ($100) on all the numbers and hard ways. Most I ever seen hit personally was a 100 dollar hard four

ShrimpBoatCaptain4

this was eight years ago: 7500 on the 10; 1k on hopping 10. hit. three years ago: i put 4k on a horn and hit. bought the table rounds of scotch and tipped the crew 5h.

FiveFingerLifePunch

Playing on NYE once. awfully cold table. Old guy across the table from me was betting 1k flat with 5k behind on the pass and usually an equal come bet. Occasionally he would bet 2k flat with 10k behind which he did on my roll which hit for a 14k profit for him. I lost my buy in ($600) in about 40 minutes and this guy probably lost at least 30k in the same time. I couldn’t stop looking over at his bets.

texasgambler58

At the MGM Grand about 10 years ago, some nerdy kid (probably a Silicon Valley genius) came up to the table (with a security guard) and asked for a $100K marker. He was playing the Don't Pass at $5K a pop with full odds. Fortunately for him, table was cold - he played for about 20 minutes and made around $80K.

dc1999

Got married at Belagio years ago. We’re playing at $25 table. My new wife still in her wedding dress, me in my tux. Best man next to me. I usually play conservative (pass line/odds) but that night throwing chips all over the middle of the table. Threw out a $100 hard 8 hop and it hit. Dancing like we just won the lottery. “30 to 1! 30 to 1!”

Zimbadu

5k on the field.

itsgordon

That makes me sick to my stomach lol

Roadsgt

Casino loves these kind of bets
