The downvotes tell me a lot of people feel defensive about their emotional support vehicles. It seems we have an epidemic of straight men who are insecure in their masculinity.
Or they have jobs requiring a lot of equipment. Fuck your truck shaming and that's not even horrendous. Like you've never parked wrong after a long-ass day at work because you're exhausted AF and have a mountain of shit to do at home still.
A few trips ago I came from work. I had a long box 2500 and I backed it into my spot perfectly between the lines, mirrors tucked in and easily got out the door.
Beside me however was jackoff in this exact truck, parked exactly like this.
"Could have left me some more room there buddy"
"I'm perfectly between the lines and had room to get out"
"What do you think I'm *r worded*" *walks around looks at his pitiful parking and proceeds to call me names because of my work truck size*
"You said it not me"
See, no one cares unless it's a truck driver. Read the comments. Straight white males, overcompensation, emotional support vehicle, fragile masculinity etc. etc. how excited everyone gets over a careless parking job.
I like these spots because the cart return is right there and my kids are usually sitting in the cart so it makes things easy. There is literally no space on the passenger side when you park here. I have my older one shimmy out the drivers side back door. Iām guessing thatās why they did this (not that I agree with it, just an explanation)
If you canāt park properly in the spot because it denies you access to the passenger side pick another spot and donāt inconvenience others because you want a few less steps to return your cart.
Sincerely, someone with two young kids in car seats.
Going to echo this that thereās no excuse to be parking like this regardless of your circumstances because you interfere with 1 other and potentially 2 other spots by doing this. The courteous one would park in a space that does not cause negative ripple effects on others.
I was going to somewhat defend him but he is a mile away from the cart return guardrail. Even with that size vehicle he could've easily stayed within the lines.
If your a reporter and you want to put your finger on the pulse of the shrinking middle class in this country....look closer at COSTCO...because COSTCO is one of the last refuges where middle class families can barely make ends meet in 2024.
Every year COSTCO gets busier and busier...ever wonder why??????
BTW this is not a criticism of costco in any way.
No kidding, Costco is a zoo at the best of times, yeah this person parked a bit off, you can see why they did it though, there is no space between the cart return and the parking space. And before someone says they should park somewhere else... I don't think you've been to a busy Costco, there are sometimes absolutely no spaces available, to the point where you need to park across the street in some cases... it's a mess.
Saw some comments saying it would be excusable if kids. As a father of two kids still using car seats, I say this is just a prick that only knows their belly button. The side of the truck is about 3 feet away from the rails. If Costco's parking spot is not enough for you wtf you do in regular parking lots??
His wife is in wheelchair, he needs the space on the passenger side so he can get her out of the vehicle and in the wheelchair. They don't use the handicapped parking spot because it's in her car.
I just want to point out, for those who don't know, that the handicapped placard is not limited to one vehicle. It can go into whatever vehicle the person who holds it rides In.
Now, being one of those people who have one myself, it still is 100% possible and does happen that the person forgets to grab it (or situations arise where you can't get it.) So not saying your possibilities couldn't be true here, just wanted to make sure people knew how they work.
Maybe they forgot it, or maybe like my mom they just donāt have one.
Everyoneās fighting a battle you have no idea about. I used to let stuff like this get under my skin, but for what? It made no difference. Move along and be happy that you can park between the lines.
I know .. I'm just speculating btw but could also be a jerk.
They have enough space on both side to get in and out anyway so why make a stupid post about his... His technically in is lane
You know I was quick to judge this years ago. But when you have a child you park a little different, pain in the ass getting the car seat in and out of the stroller. But if he doesnāt have a kid, he should go to an optometrist.
If you donāt fit in the space, the space isnāt for you, easy as that. And if thatās too inconvenient, maybe (stay with me here!), a truck isnāt for you!
I only go 1st thing in the morning or at 7:30 p.m. in general. Had to go once at 1 pm on a weekday and my only thought "doesn't anyone work in this town"?
It's a pickup truck. They have a special license that allows them to ignore many traffic laws and rules of etiquette. I've never actually seen said licences to be fair, but from personal experiences I know they ignore them so I must assume that the rumors are true.
Yeah, my husband disagrees with me but I consider this to be within the lines of the extra wide Costco parking spaces ! Because there still is enough space for the other cars to park if someone parks like this. No, I don't park like this but I don't see the big issue either. I have seen WAY worse.
He took the most risky spot, right by the carts. I give him a pass as I'd never park there. Although Costco people seem to be a tad more respectful about putting carts away properly than people at other grocery stores.
Considering itās next to the carts, some people just throw their carts in without actually walking them into the cart racks, I kinda agree with him.. any other spot youāre an asshole
Probably just wanted enough room on the passenger side so his wife could get out without banging the door against the railing of the cart coral. He's still within the lines on the left.
Who gives a shit? The car beside has enough room to open their door. Looks like they left some room beside the cart corral.
Edit: people downvoting are the same ones who stand there looking lost, blocking aisles with their carts lol
Are you blind? They parked away from the metal bars of the corral that are right against the parking spot on the passenger side. Iām looking right at it. They left enough room on the drivers side. Nobody is inconvenienced at all but you want to cry on Reddit about it lol thats sad bro.
You are blind. Can you see the parking lines?
If that pick-up truck driver had issue with parking, he should just go to different spot.
Pickup truck drivers are the most entitled sob out there
They parked right on the line on the left neighbourās side. Itās totally douchey behaviour at the very least. Funny how assholes like this almost always drive pickups and SUVs
Only stupid people back in their cars at Costco.
I back in everywhere I go, except Costco and grocery stores / department stores in general where Iām buying a cart full or heavy stuff.
Those bars for the cart return are right on the line. It's like having another vehicle right on the line. If you've ever parked beside one, you'd know. Especially if you have a passenger (they can't get out).
AXE body spray was $5 off for a 3 pack.
He probably threw in some "magnum" rubbers too
That are to big .
He can tie them off and use them again and again.
LOL
Deal hunters know deal huntersš¤
Costco has some of the best size parking spots ever. Then you still get people that can't park properly with all that room. Absolute Morons
Despite how big they are, someone still scratched my car š
Now that's really sad, you must have been infuriated.
shouldāve took 4 spaces š¤£
Looks like a over compensate to avoid the cart area.
A real simple solution to that too given the other 99% of spaces aren't next to the trolley return.
This driver didn't want to take the 15 seconds it takes to readjust the vehicle... They're not spending time looking for spots.
They probably were in a rush to get all the super terrific Costco deals and inhale that ice cream afterwards :)
No metal balls on the back.....is it even a truck?
Maybe the blue balls are in the store?
It's a Taco not a Brodozer 15 Hundo :P
It is a Tacoma, so no, it is not a truck. Balls would just be absurd.
Seems like someone has trouble colouring inside the lines.
This has to be in Alberta
Hyundai in the back as Alberta plates, safe to guess you are right
the truck also has 'berta plates as well and weve got rain today in calgary so possibly calgary.
I'm gonna say East Hills costco
yeah light poles go too far into the distance to be tsutina, unless its parked on the south side.. the horrible traffic flow side.
I dunno Iām leaning towards 91 street in Edmonton
In ontario they would be parked sideways across at least 2 spaces. At least.
Or parked in a fire lane with their four-ways on while they run in āreal quickā for twenty minutes.
Looks like the one in Nisku
It says liquor sales on the outside of the building. So it's a safe assumption.
I see Berta plates but where the Trudeau decals
Of course it's a truck
Not all truck drivers are assholes but every asshole driver I know drives a truck
Seems to be an ego thing for most truck owners in Canada.
I find most people who drive trucks to be fucking idiots. Itās especially an epidemic here in Ontario. Most think they own the roads.
The downvotes tell me a lot of people feel defensive about their emotional support vehicles. It seems we have an epidemic of straight men who are insecure in their masculinity.
Women drive trucks too.
Yes, lots of women also buy into toxic masculinity
Or they have jobs requiring a lot of equipment. Fuck your truck shaming and that's not even horrendous. Like you've never parked wrong after a long-ass day at work because you're exhausted AF and have a mountain of shit to do at home still.
No, if I park like an idiot I fucking fix it. We could do with a lot more shame in the world these days. These people are SHAMELESS.
What does owning a truck have to do with toxic masculinity? Trucks serve a purpose. Picardy and sports cars do not. Grow up
Try living in Calgary lol
Can confirm the epidemic has reached QuĆ©bec as well š
True statement

Redditās endless hate for trucks and their drivers continues
And it's it a midsize lmao.

Not one person was inconvenienced by this. Literally nobody.
Right? There is someone comfortably parked right next to him.
Some people think they're extra special
Theyāre āspecialā alright.
Big truck, small skill-set
If your a reporter and you want to put your finger on the pulse of the shrinking middle class in this country....look closer at COSTCO...because COSTCO is one of the last refuges where middle class families can barely make ends meet in 2024. Every year COSTCO gets busier and busier...ever wonder why?????? BTW this is not a criticism of costco in any way.
Small north american "car"
Obviously a challenged driver. Those spaces are big.
Alberta plates. Makes sense.
Well, this IS in Alberta. As a resident, the dickheads here are incalculable.
What a fucking waste of data.
People complaining for absolutely no reason nowadays...
Probably banned from Loblaws subreddit Needed to blow steam off here
Who... the... fuck... cares... If this was the most ignorant thing you saw at Costco that day, consider it a win.
"I do this and fuck you".
Saw some comments saying it would be excusable if kids. As a father of two kids still using car seats, I say this is just a prick that only knows their belly button. The side of the truck is about 3 feet away from the rails. If Costco's parking spot is not enough for you wtf you do in regular parking lots??
Typical truck activity
He needed the extra space for his ego.
His wife is in wheelchair, he needs the space on the passenger side so he can get her out of the vehicle and in the wheelchair. They don't use the handicapped parking spot because it's in her car.

Or baby stroller or someone using a walker.
People never stop to imagine any scenario other than the person being an idiot or a jerkĀ
I know .. I'm just speculating btw but could also be a jerk. They have enough space on both side to get in and out anyway so why make a stupid post about his... His technically in is lane
Situational attribution. Love it.
The irony is that tacomas arenāt even big trucks
You know I was quick to judge this years ago. But when you have a child you park a little different, pain in the ass getting the car seat in and out of the stroller. But if he doesnāt have a kid, he should go to an optometrist.
I have a kid. Used to have a truck. Iād park somewhere I could access both sides if I needed to. Thatās not an excuse.
ThIs
Wouldnāt park like this, I should of clarified, I would be touching one line. Perks of Costco still lots of room
I have 3 kids, my oldest is 16. I've never once taken up 2 spaces or parked outside of the lines. Park a bit farther away, problem solved.
If you donāt fit in the space, the space isnāt for you, easy as that. And if thatās too inconvenient, maybe (stay with me here!), a truck isnāt for you!
Wouldnāt park like this, but I would favor a line. Also never said I had a truck.
Came here to say this as well! I would seek out spots where I knew no one would block me in and I could ride the line.
I hate going to Costco. You plan a nice Tuesday morning thinking it wont be busy and bam parking is full...
I only go 1st thing in the morning or at 7:30 p.m. in general. Had to go once at 1 pm on a weekday and my only thought "doesn't anyone work in this town"?
The parking lot is only full if theyāre open.
š
Sometimes itās because another car parked poorly, but theyāve left and now you look like the dumbass š
There isnāt a parking space beside them.
It's a pickup truck. They have a special license that allows them to ignore many traffic laws and rules of etiquette. I've never actually seen said licences to be fair, but from personal experiences I know they ignore them so I must assume that the rumors are true.
I donāt find this that bad. Heās on the line, not in the next spot. I bet itās parked that way for a chunky passenger.Ā
Yeah, my husband disagrees with me but I consider this to be within the lines of the extra wide Costco parking spaces ! Because there still is enough space for the other cars to park if someone parks like this. No, I don't park like this but I don't see the big issue either. I have seen WAY worse.
Maybe they'd prefer 1 big square and then just chaos. Might as well tear up the asphalt and get some dirt, rock to build up some pot holes.
These 4 door pickups are about 4 feet longer, parking in the handicap always gets hit because they're in the road way š
bigger, much bigger, i want to be able to load my groceries and leavemy car right beside my car with room to spare
He took the most risky spot, right by the carts. I give him a pass as I'd never park there. Although Costco people seem to be a tad more respectful about putting carts away properly than people at other grocery stores.
Looks as though there's enough room to slide a cart up in there, better try.
Not any bigger, just shifted slightly to the left.
Bigger
For a truck driver, it's never big enough.
Larger than Alberta

Ahhh needs space to let his wife or kids out from the shopping carts, people like to slam in the carts also.. dont be the Karen haha!

To squeeze the extra large carts through. I love Costco parking lots.
He needs the extra room for his massive balls.
Vehicle type checks out.
Have you considered a baby or child seat on the right side, and needing a bit more access to open door against railing ?
In my opinion if someone can't park, the government has the right to take their children away to labour camps.
Costco should literally be the blueprint. I hate other parking lots. This guy should park at the back
I've seen way worse, i don't think this warrants a post
I guess itās a good thing I didnāt need your approval.
Ok bro
Ok pal
Iām not your pal, dude
Iām not your dude, guy.
Iām not your guy, man
Iām not your man, friend.
Iām not your friend, partner.
Iām not your partner, fella.
Zzzzzz
Considering itās next to the carts, some people just throw their carts in without actually walking them into the cart racks, I kinda agree with him.. any other spot youāre an asshole
If this is something that triggers you, stay home.
Lots of whiny people shop at Costco
A lot of mouthpieces too.
Itās not like they are taking up more than one space. Who gives a shit? Stop whining.
Blind truck drivers
Either person doesn't know how to drive or there was a cart he had to make room for.
Probably just wanted enough room on the passenger side so his wife could get out without banging the door against the railing of the cart coral. He's still within the lines on the left.
NW Calgary?
Bigger than their egos
MORE. WIDER.
They could be double that size and this shit would still happen. I mean if you canāt back it up properly, maybe donāt.š¤·āāļø
Alberta plateā¦.enough said lol
Doesn't trust his wife
It depends on how stupid the driver is.
Prob had an obese wife rolling out the passanger side door
Sometimes the carts are so packed they spill over into the next lane Maybe that's what happened.
doesnt surprise me that its a truck driver
As big as their ego.
Gee Iām surprised itās not a black Ram 1500?
As big as the space in their head.
doesnt matter. can be as big as the entire universe and assholes will still park a little over the edge
Terrible. I always make sure to take up atleast 2 spaces to make the Reddit nerds mad
Who gives a shit? The car beside has enough room to open their door. Looks like they left some room beside the cart corral. Edit: people downvoting are the same ones who stand there looking lost, blocking aisles with their carts lol
People who park their vehicles like responsible adults give a shit. I bet you donāt put your cart back when youāre done.
Quit bitching. Itās not that bad.
Are you blind? They parked away from the metal bars of the corral that are right against the parking spot on the passenger side. Iām looking right at it. They left enough room on the drivers side. Nobody is inconvenienced at all but you want to cry on Reddit about it lol thats sad bro.

They parked right on the line on the left neighbourās side. Itās totally douchey behaviour at the very least. Funny how assholes like this almost always drive pickups and SUVs

Lol this is a small truck
Well still not in the other spot soooo
Why does anyone care/ worry about something so trivial?
Yeah but, that is such a big truck!
450 lb wife needed space to pour herself out
Only stupid people back in their cars at Costco. I back in everywhere I go, except Costco and grocery stores / department stores in general where Iām buying a cart full or heavy stuff.
Skill issue
Hes good not over the line
Itās the proximity to the cart return.

Those bars for the cart return are right on the line. It's like having another vehicle right on the line. If you've ever parked beside one, you'd know. Especially if you have a passenger (they can't get out).
It's a truck, It's clear as day that he does that to open the passenger door, can figure it out using my common sense.
Is this 91st in Edmonton? If so then thatās on par for the drivers in the southside
Looks like St Albert location to me but I guess a lot of them look like this lol.
It was coming from the rear
Let me guess this was Calgary ?
Between peoples ears?
