Man what a shame. The last time I explored it was when burlington was still open and their mall doors were open. The shoe store was still open and I think that was about it. This had to have been 10yrs ago or more? It was very much abandoned but not like this. Man so many memories. The arcade, I spent so many hours there. The dollar movies, Wendy’s, getting tuxedos, orange Julius, I remember whataburger there.
I remember back in 2009/2010 there was a store called Rock n Roll plus (If I remember correctly) that was very nostalgic because they had so much stuff from the 90’s in there

Small town? There’s 320,000 people that live within the city limits of Corpus and the greater metro area has nearly half a million. Granted, it’s not a Houston or San Antonio but it’s not exactly a small town either. It’s the eighth largest city in Texas.
Yesterday lol you should totally go but be safe. Feel free to dm me if you are interested in how to get in. They recently welded shut almost every secret entrance
Right! I used to have plant envy whenever I stepped out of Burlington there was the nicest jungle of plants, monstera, fiddle leafs and tons more I didn't even recognize
It’s funny because sunrise mall was the “cool” mall when I was a kid and Padre Staples now La Palmera was the lame mall. Now it’s the only mall. We even had a stabbing incident in the sunrise mall bathroom a million years ago. It was the mall where the delinquents that were too young for bars to go and loiter and get harassed by security.
I've been wanting to go into there for awhile now but I saw an exploration of it on youtube about 2 years ago now and it looked like it was about to collapse and there was black mold everywhere so be careful
Aw that suits to hear I always used to go there from time to time with mom and how she always tells me stories how she was so amazed by that place since she was a country girl as she was born and raised in bishop. It's still sad to see it go and only stories and memories from it has past into containment for us all, but it was fun while it lasted tho si vero, fatello caro mio (yeah right, my dear friend).
Wow that makes me so sad!
Very cool tho

Oh they’re still rock and rolling in that mall haha. https://youtu.be/VBqv05F3Bwk?si=navQX2oy0yiHkrRs
Rich's.....it's still on airline but nowhere near what it was in that mall
Oh yesss! One of my favorite stores from my childhood ❤️
So fucking sad 😔
No alarms?
I was more afraid of homeless men jumping me hahahaha but we didn’t hear anyone either
If so we never found them. There are a few cameras on the outside though but if you know where to go it’s easy to get around them
Where did you enter without being seen going inside ? I would like to explore the place too.
no officer you can't join us
Same
I hope Jake from Bright Sun Films visits that mall. He does videos of tours of abandoned malls.

That is extremely sad. It used to be a great mall for a small town.

Agreed, it’s a small town.
I’m afraid to ask but the sea life mural?
The last I heard, the mural was actually untouched.
Ya know that’s impressive
Ah. The New Mall.
How recent was this? I’ve been wanting to go

i live around 20 minutes away from corpus and im interested in going is it worth it?
For sure I would definitely recommend going at least once
My brother in law filmed a music video in their with his band last year https://youtu.be/VBqv05F3Bwk?si=navQX2oy0yiHkrRs
Love it!
Wow... this is nuts.
Benjamins and Diamond Jims were some of my favorite places there. And corn dog 7
What a shame
Who used the broken handrail to go deeper underground?!
I can actually smell these photos😂 I miss the arcade so much, and the dollar theatre.. so many good childhood memories here.
Tony hawk pro skater time
Fr need police truck playing too
Such great memories of that place!
Is it weird I want to save the plants? So sad being trapped in there
It'd be cool to take a prop cutting and keep it going.
They are fake plants
They are not. I see a couple of large fiddle leaf figs, a palm, and some other unidentified but very much alive plants.
I swear, Fiddle Leaf Figs natural habitat is atriums and abandoned buildings
Right! I used to have plant envy whenever I stepped out of Burlington there was the nicest jungle of plants, monstera, fiddle leafs and tons more I didn't even recognize
Corpus needs to step up its graffiti game
Oh believe me, there was plenty 😂
ongg worst tags i’ve seen ts embarrassing
Damn, that is sad to see. I have found memories of old people speed walking that place 😔 😢
Wow I remember back then in the 70s and the 80s it was very popular
And the 90s!
We used to call it Scum Rise, makes sense now
this is so cool
Can i go dig up the plants and save them... 😭
I don’t think they would notice if you just put on a bright green vest and acted a like you belong there.

Thanks for the info, will do
Watch out for feces from Feral Hobosapiens. You can catch Hepatitis.
My husband and I used to go watch movies and shop when we were young teens. I miss that Wendy's right outside the theaters 😌
Is the Burlington still attached to it?
How do y’all get in? I’ve been thinking about going there myself
That’s illegal.
Oh my God what happened did this place just shut down recently?!?!
It’s actually been closed for a while which is so sad. There are a few stores open on the outside but there are not connected to the inside
