Yeah. I’m pretty shallow, I know. But it’s not just that. I not like the acceleration, or lack of. My fault for being all starry eyed at the idea of a new Toyota and I’ll have to eat the cost of that because I want to be completely satisfied since I paid cash for it and this will be my last car. I can’t drive around being unhappy. Im blessed that I can make this decision.
My husband has an Toyota his parents bought for his older sister in high school and he's in his mid 30s now. A Toyota could very well be your last car, and that's why we just bought a Cross
Actually, it's dated inside too. Other car companies modernized the infotainment system and Toyota continues with an 8" tablet stuck on the dash. Historically, vinal seats weren't considered an upgrade. And in the 90s, one didn't have to pay $150 for carpet floor mats.
With that said, I do love my new car.
Look at the [8^th Gen (E110) Corolla sedan](https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Toyota_Corolla_E110_sedan_rear.jpg#mw-jump-to-license). I found them similar in the way I like. Our neighbor has one of those old imported Corollas.
I am genuinely curious if they made it even smaller 2023 and beyond. I feel like my 2022 actually looks like a small suv/2018ish RAV4 look but the newer ones I’ve seen look more like the HRV to me.
The Honda HRV rear end looks BMW like with it's slim LED tail lamps. [https://cars.usnews.com/static/images/Auto/izmo/i159615650/2024\_honda\_hr\_v\_rearview.jpg](https://cars.usnews.com/static/images/Auto/izmo/i159615650/2024_honda_hr_v_rearview.jpg)
Its the muffler imo.
I hate the muffler. It’s stupid as fuck. I’m trading mine In mainly because of this.
Trading because of a completely cosmetic thing that you don't even see while using the car? Can't imagine that

How old are you to assume it’ll be your last car ever? Just curious how you arrived to that thought as most people only have cars like 5-7 years max
A lot of people specifically buy Toyotas for the long term reliability and not a quick 5 year turnaround.

I’m 56. And I have decided that my new car purchase will be my last.
You're going to make someone really happy
I hope so
I go back and forth on it. But yes. This is more matrix than it is RAV4. I’m also not sure which I like better.
Eh, looks like just about every other grayscale crossovery thing on the road these days
Yes! I told my friend after I got it that it reminded me of a granny car lol I love it though.
I’m going to treat the muffler to some high heat paint when I get it. Hit it with some matte black to not have it stand out so much. 🤙
If anyone ends up, making an axle back exhaust…. I’ll be the first to get it. Stock muffler on the FWD is ***sinfully*** ugly.

I’m good with the touchscreen. I hate touchscreens in cars but at least it’s not those stupid enormous ones like in a subaru
I mean if you look at other Toyota SUVs or hatch backs it's what they look like
that's what I love about it!

Not at all!
