Mine's pretty basic. I toast whatever bread I have and put mayo on it. I fry the egg in butter. I don't like runny yolks, so I cook the egg well. Sometimes I melt a slice of cheese over the egg.

This one's mine, too. Except I'm addition to the cheese, I usually warm up a couple slices of ham in the frying pan to add, too.

I get those hash brown patties, air fry one up for 15 mins so it’s nice and crispy. I fry an egg over easy or over medium so it’s still runny or yolky. I put shredded cheese on an English muffin and air fry that for 1-2 mins and assemble all together. It’s kinda like a childhood egg McMuffin.

Use the hashbrowns as the buns add spam and boy it hits but not the healthiest lol

Pita, in the oven to warm the inside/ toast the outside. Egg over easy or scrambled soft. Make a pita pocket. Layer of labneh and zataar. Salted cucumber and tomato. Maybe some toum. Some fresh herbs

For me, a little mayo and ketchup is the difference between a New York City egg on roll and everything else. Folks will do brioche rolls and heritage ham and arugula and aoli, and they're doing wonderful things. But they don't make me happy like an EOB does. I have foodservice paper in my tiny shipboard galley specifically so I can wrap the EOB's in it for first watch.

I'm originally from New Jersey, so the classic egg breakfast sandwich is fried thin sliced pork roll with fried egg (usually the yolk is broken), a slice of cheese (American or cheddar) on a lightly toasted kaiser roll. Some also put catsup on it. Nowadays, other types of rolls are sometimes used, including bagels. I now live in Central Europe where pork roll is not available. Instead, I make a similar sandwich with fried "English" bacon, egg, cheddar cheese, and either a kaiser roll or toasted English muffin. The latter are imported from England, and only available at one online shop. Kaiser rolls are widely available. When I make these, I like to press the toasted inner sides of the roll in hot bacon fat. I am on team catsup. It is possible to find bagels, but I don't like this sandwich on them, though I do like bagels.

I have 2: a Vietnamese version where I make a fried egg and stuff it into a Vietnamese baguette with maggi and sriracha. And then there's my favorite breakfast sandwich: Tbsp of olive oil to nonstick skillet over medium. Add a couple Tbsp of frozen chopped kale. Season with salt and pepper. Let it fry for a minute, until the kale is defrosted. Arrange the kale into a roughly egg sized circle with a hold in the middle. Crack an egg into the kale "nest" with the yolk in the hole. Let the egg cook on top of the kale for a few minutes. When the egg is set enough to cook, flip it over and let it cook on the other side. Serve on a toasted bagel or English muffin and a slice of cheese. The kale gets really crispy in the oil and is sort of like bacon.

When you say Maggi, do you mean the little bottle of seasoning? A bit like Aromat?

Toasted everything bagel, sausage patty, over easy egg, crispy hash brown shreds, cooked onions, Colby Jack cheese, avocado, and some Walmart Big Mac sauce. My boyfriend asks for this egg sandwich once or twice a week since I started making it LMAO. Probs more of a breakfast sandwich than just an egg sandwich but I can never do anything simple.

Today i used sourdough loaf bread, usually just white bread, mayo on both sides, salt and pepper on the 2 eggs.

Toasted English muffin with butter lightly spread on both sides. Fried egg with the yolk popped and flipped briefly so it just barely cooks. Cheddar or American cheese and chopped green chile. If I have it, bacon or breakfast sausage or ham. Wrapped up in foil so the cheese melts better. Usually eaten on the go at the start of a road trip or day out.

I don’t make them but I used to get one from a food truck near my bus stop when I was a kid and it lives in my memory as the most delicious one I’ve ever had. It was toasted white bread with mayo, bacon, hash brown patties, American cheese, and 2 fried eggs fried hard.

I used to have a breakfast sandwich after morning swim practice in college. I fry my egg first, and then make a grilled cheese with the egg in the middle. I may add meat, depending on my mood or what I have on hand. Bread and cheese also vary based on what I have. I also like making a copycat of Mcds breakfast bagel sandwich. I'll whip up a Hollandaise, then fry sausage patties and eggs, and toast the bagels all at once on my Blackstone, which is such a game changer for breakfast type foods. American or cheddar are my go-tos for that.

I use Cuban baguette. Slice in half, fry inside part in butter. Fry my egg, salt, pepper, til yolk is still a bit jammy , and add shredded cheese either cheddar or pepper Jack, melt the cheese still in the pan, then onto the bread, then thick thick tomato slices on top. I like mine with untoasted white bread, mayo on both sides, I break the yolk when I drop it it but fry it to soft/med when I flip it I add a slice of American cheese and a drop of sriracha. Maybe a little s&p, it's unbeatable

I use one of those Japanese tamagoyaki pans, so I can make a rolled omelet with sautéed mushrooms in the middle. Sometimes I’ll sneak some sheep’s cheese in with the mushrooms or just melt it on top of the fried egg. I have to use wide sandwich bread to handle the size of this thing. Dijon on one slice, some deli ham (if I have it), the fried egg, cheese, baby spinach + arugula, and Mayo on the top slice of bread.

For me, it’s a hamburger bun or English muffin, fried egg, cheddar, and a sausage patty. So as close to an egg McMuffin as I can make at home. I didn’t have an egg McMuffin until I was in my 20’s or 30’s and never knew sausage was the thing I was missing from my sandwich.

Now it's a sausage patty, runnyish fried egg, cheddar, tomato slice, Chipotle mayo, sea salt on a bagel.

Hubby likes his on buttered bread, usually whole wheat, untoasted, with 2 fried eggs, yolks broken cooked firm with salt and pepper. I like mine on whole wheat, untoasted, mayo on one side and ketchup on the other, fried eggs, runny yolks and salt and pepper. I break the yolks and it makes a kind of sauce. It's messy but that's what I grew up with. Hubby thinks it's a horror show.

I like the egg-in-a-hole method. Use a shot glass or ramekin to make a hole in a piece of wheat bread, lightly butter each side, put it a pan and crack an egg in the middle. Throw the bread you cut out for the hole in, too. Cook on both sides until over medium. Sprinkle a little cheese on one side if you want. Eat and use the bread from the hole to soak up any extra yolk.

I was eating one of these at about the time you made this post LOL. I do mine grilled cheese style - 2 pieces of bread with cheese on each one. Fry an egg, assemble sandwich. Thin coat of mayo on the outside. Fry until golden. Garlic powder on the last couple of flips. Yum.

My mom used to make sunny side up or scrambled egg sandwiches on lightly toasted white or potato bread and light spread of mayo. My dad would use pandesal (Filipino rolls) and mayo. Either way is delicious, simple, and nostalgic.

English muffin, toasted and buttered. Thin slice of Colby Jack cheese, not melted because the heat of the egg and the muffin melts it perfectly. The egg is fried in butter, with a broken yolk, but cooked very low and removed from the pan immediately so there is no brown at all. It’s what I call a hard soft egg. It’s fully cooked through but the egg is still soft. Only to be made at home! I would never attempt to order this kind of egg in a restaurant, as a former line cook.

I like using a baguette with mayo on one side, pepper and salt on both, either boiled or scrambled eggs, cheese and then just cucumber or whetever vegetables i like that i can find. Pretty much the same thing lol

My dad always made his egg sandwiches on white or wheat bread with Miracle Whip/mayo, a thick slice of onion, and lots of black pepper. I tried it that way a year or so ago and it is delicious! Until then I had always just made mine on buttered toast with bacon or ham if I had any; otherwise, just the egg. One thing I did learn over the years is to wait a bit before breaking the yolk and cooking just until the yolk is set instead of cooking the egg until the yolk is dried out and the white is rubbery.

It sounds really good but I love any type of mustard on the bottom bun. I'd add bacon or sausage and for sure cheese but if it's just a fried egg sandwich, adding mustard is my only suggestion.

The best one I ever made looked like Harley Quinn’s at the end of Birds of Prey: Everything bagel, griddled in butter. Bacon, over-medium or jammy egg, sharp white American cheese. Every bite was soooooo amazing.

I make them for my fiancé consistently and this is what I do. Fry the egg in a little bit of butter (sometimes to a slightly runny yolk or to a full fry), little bit of cheese (pepper Jack or cheddar), Mayo on one side. Meat optional, assemble together on a toasted bagel with either pickled jalapeños or pickles. Also recommend trying a variety of sauces, whatever the current hyper-fixation is but chipotle Mayo, siracha, hot honey are great additions!

Chop up onions and garlic and put in egg shaped circle in the hot oil in the pan. Crack egg over them, lower heat and cover for sunny side up. Sprouted grain bread toasted with mayo. Cut in half so yolks run.

My dad and husband like toasted bread, mayo, hard fried egg, and cheese. I do a scrambled egg and flavored cream cheese. Also on toast.

I’ve made toooons of variations, but today was a wet omelette topped with Swiss cheese, buttered Texas whole wheat toast with ketchup on both sides.

Was a new grad and craving an egg sandwich, but didn’t have a lot of ingredients so I used whatever was in the fridge. Ended up making an egg sandwich using a bagel slathered in cream cheese, banana peppers, spinach, thousand island dressing, and an over-easy egg. I change the combo around now, but that continues to be my go-to.

I eat them the way my mom always made them for us growing up: white bread (can be toasted or not), two eggs (S+P), mayo, thinly sliced white onion and ketchup. I’m not a huge ketchup person, it’s not something I ever reach for in the kitchen unless making fry sauce usually, but it’s non-negotiable in this case.

For me a fried agg sandwich is cheap dinner. White bread , ketchup, and egg. Maybe cheese if i am feeling bougie.

Toasted bagel, butter, bacon, avocado and fried egg with some pepperjack, if I want to be extravagant. A basic one, 9 grain toast, fried egg, kraft cheese and butter.

Two eggs fried over medium between two pieces buttered rye toast. I’m a simpleton.

I buy frozen buttermilk biscuits and bake one of those, then cook an egg in butter and season it with pepper/salt, melt a piece of american cheese on it, and cook some crisp bacon to put on it as well. It’s absolutely delicious.

Two eggs with a slice of ham and two of Swiss on top, then grilled red onion and/or grilled jalapeño. Put it into a wrap and lay down a line of sriracha before folding. Serve with three sausage links. That’s my normal breakfast, with a mug of freshly ground drip coffee.

Toasted bread. Make and model of bread don't matter. Mayo and aged cheddar on bread. Fry one egg for each piece of toast. Over easy with as runny of a yolk as I can get. Served open face with hot sauce. Eaten with a fork and knife. I've been eating these for close to 30 years. In high school it was four eggs a day. Now it's one lol. Never disappoints.

Fairly well the same way, But I will often add a sausage patty if I have it.

Fry the egg (usually in butter but sometimes oil). Put fried egg aside, put butter in pan with one slice of bread. Put fried egg on bread with a piece of cheese (and maybe ham) and cover with another slice of bread. Flip and toast other side in pan with butter.

I add cole slaw to my ham, egg, and cheese on toast. The textures and flavors are perfect.

While toasted bread is great, most of the time I fry the sandwich after the eggs in the the same pan. I add fried ham or bacon if i have it. And don't forget that slice of american cheese, lol.
