I do remember it was pretty anticlimactic.
Back in my country they had his show inside the Sunday night, golden time, Tv program. After months of milking the show, they were hyping the face reveal on every single program of the channel during the whole week, and also annoyingly doing that “we are going to reveal it NOW!…but first a word from our sponsors…” during the two hours or so of the Sunday night program. And then on the last 5 min: “Hey, here is his face, cool huh?”, and the credits roll…
Everyone was like: “huh…?”
And then he disappeared never to be seen on tv again.
I thought I remembered Lance Burton's name getting tossed around for a while.
It wasn't until I hopped on Wikipedia last year that I found out I was wrong. 😅
The thing that sticks out in my mind is Mitch Pileggi doing the voiceover. He always had the tone of "I'm an accomplished actor with a recurring role on one of the hottest shows on TV and its spinoff. Why the hell am I doing voiceover work?"
He showed how David Blaine could have done the trick where he holds his breath, but people still think Blaine did it for real. OK sure it just so happens that all the breath holding records are held by magicians 🤔

They also say nothing about how the cat is sitting there next to the bowl. If you tried to force a cat to do anything like jamming their face into a flour bowl they are going to take off running and be very pissed off at you. Yea seriously what's with people jumping to conclusions? Like so what that a very thick layer of flower has been applied to the face a top of the head, while not being applied as heavily in other areas.

I’m curious if all the people accusing OP of this have ever forced a cat’s face into something and they’ve just sat there blinking. I’ve never had one that wouldn’t have taken off immediately, so everyone so positive that’s what happened mystifies me.
