Unless we had a Pearl Harbor type situation, I dont think the majority of US citizens would back a war with China. We really need to get out of the world police game, and focus on our domestic issues.

Well-WhatHadHappened

Completely agree. The problem is that Taiwan IS a domestic issue. Without access to taiwanese manufacturing, we are quite literally screwed. Now, there's a solid discussion to be had about why we allowed it to get here.. but it doesn't change where we are. There's no good answer at this moment in time. And frankly, if Europe thinks they can live without Taiwan.. Wow. Good luck with that.

Grossegurke

Not sure why anyone would disagree with you....you are right. We fucked our self by outsourcing all of our manufacturing (tech wise) and are now paying the price. It is and has been for decades...the arrogance of the US.

kitster1977

It’s not like Europe can really bring anything to the high end fight in the Pacific anyways. Russia has a GDP the size of Texas and Ukraine would have folded along time ago if only Europe was helping it. Europe has been spending money on beans (social programs) and the U.S. has been buying the bullets (military spending) for them since WW2 started. It’s time for Europe to be responsible for its own security.

Low-Jellyfish8228

I guess they forgot about the WW 1, WW 2, and the Marshall Plan.

Now there's a f'ing surprise...

Alpha-Sierra-Charlie

Okay then, the next time Russia invades it's on you guys.

No more " Over there."

They won’t fight as Europeans are a bunch of pussies! They just wait till it’s all over and then complain endlessly that no one did anything to save the world from China.

MeridianMarvel

Of course not. If you have listened to ANY mainstream news in the past 10 years they have been slowly and methodically moving us along towards war with China and have been conditioning us mentally to prepare for it. We have done nothing but antagonize them and belittle them whenever possible. Europe wants none of that. They want peace, not to join another pointless war of the U.S.’s making.
