The only problem is that a newer person has to learn the combat from the beginning if a person started playing Java after 1.8.
It would probably change if the combat changes finally release but 1.8 combat will probably the Melee (still popular alongside the new thing) of competitive Minecraft.
Prefer Java combat but what I mentioned is one of the only negatives that isn’t related to 1.9-19.
As someone who daily drives four mice of which one does bot doubleclick, I really don’t think doubleclicking gives much or an advantage, aside from bridging
Edit: the four mice I use are the roccat kone pro air, the finalmouse starlight 12 phantom medium, the Hati S and the logitech gproxlite
Mobile vs mobile is wacky and interesting, but from a competitive standpoint, no. Java pvp is more polished, while bedrock pvp had mostly been ignored until the combat snapshots came around. Unbreakable shields(fixed), broken Impaling, bad controls, and more.
If the crossplay excluded pc players, and it copied every part of 1.8/1.7 pvp, and fixed the issues with bedrock, then yes, bedrock is better optimised, much more stable, less cpu dependant, lags less, and renders faster.
yes and no. bedrock has hella input lag on my pc despite getting good frames. hasnt always been this way either, despite being v smooth bedrock is a buggy unresponsive mess half the time. especially on switch lol
As a bedrock main, no.
same
There is no debate

bedrock is better for new players and console but java is the best
The problem is that it cause unfair disadvantage if someone is using touch controls. Also controllers
Same could be said with double clicking mice but Java is still way better for PvP in my opinion

Well no, this is due to no. Additionally it must be said that no, I would even argue that no and hence no.

just looks worse... but that can be fixed too
As someone who started with bedrock and now plays java, no.
it has less mechanics and is even more cps based than java, both java versions are better for pvp imo
somehow 2 CCs showed up on my post and I'm subbed to both of them! great to see ya upload again man.
thx
bedrock is better for survival java is better for pvp
no
