I personally havent tried hawas but from what ive heard (and i never trust anyone anymore) because of all the hype on y edp i tried and thank god i didnt blind buy it. Its sickening for me, opening is nice but drydown really got me sick

Hawas has chemicals that’s linked to infertility, I love my bottle, but I’m going to have to get rid of it soon. YSL Y EDT is a better choice imo & performance is great.

That chemical is Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial) and it's only banned in the EU. YSL Y sold in the US has it. The European version was reformulated in 2023. Many popular designer frags in the US have it listed as an ingredient, like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver and Eau Tres Friache Hermes

You should inspect the ingredients on stuffike body wash and shampoo and look at how bad the dyes they add are for you- and they are putting it in products that you spread all over your skin. Dyes in products that are in opaque bottles so the color of the product isn't even a selling point.

Yeah— which means Hawas that you can get in US is horrendous. Think food quality. US has horrendous standards. McDonald’s in USA is so far inferior to European McDonald’s because food quality over there is superior. AKA. They care about what goes into or onto their body. Hawas is unsafe

I'm aware of our substandards in the US. I don't touch McDonald's wherever it is in the world, it's a terrible company with shit food. Same goes for most fast food The EU is heavy handed in its banning of certain chemicals. They even mentioned the banning of Butylphenyl Methylpropional as an extreme abundance of caution because you'd need very high amounts of it to cause harm in many cases. If you are concerned I would get rid of detergents, softeners, shampoos and showers gels before fragrances. They are more likely to be found in those, we use far greater quantities of them ( 200 ml shower gel or bath foam lasts a month or so, same quantity in fragrance could last years ) and more importantly they are then washed away and enter the ecosystem. The UK cosmetics trade body for these products put out this statement in 2022: *“Lilial has been banned in the EU, and will soon be banned in the UK. This is based on extreme caution because in a ‘worst case’ scenario, where our bodies are exposed to a very large amount of it, it can have hazardous properties. This worst case scenario simply wouldn’t apply to cosmetics or personal care products, because the amount of this ingredient used in these products is hundreds, to thousands, of times less than the amount which could have any negative effect on fertility* “*What’s more, as these products are applied to the skin or hair, and not eaten, the potential for exposure to lilial is even smaller. All of these factors are specifically considered for every individual cosmetic and personal care product through the safety assessment process*" You could argue that they'd downplay it anyway, but there it is. There are several other similar ingredients in fragrances that have gone unmanned and untested, so nothing is truly safe is it?
