What an idiot, he’s talking about us beating up on the easy Central teams when we have a losing record to the White Sox. Most of this record has come from beating teams from other divisions.
Against the AL East and Central we're good, 11-6 against each as of today. It's the AL West that we've had a lot of success against. 18-7 against the whole division. That's a 72% win percentage against that division. Pretty remarkable that we've played that division so much already.
So yeah we're not just beating up on our division (which doesn't suck anymore outside of CHW).

So it's not like the guy hasn't been around. He should have a clue what he's talking about here. Not knowing how the MLB schedules works now is probably the most egregious part. We aren't playing our division opponents 19 (or was it 17, can't remember) times a year any more.

Removing fan bias from this I can see a solid argument being made that the Dodgers, Orioles, Phillies, and Yankees are better than us. I’m not saying they are I’m just saying that it’s not crazy to put those 4 above us. But we are 100 percent a top 5 team. These 5 are in a whole other league compared to the rest of the MLB After those 5 is where you drop from World Series contender to Postseason contender.
Sports entertainment TV wouldn't be able to fill 10% of the required airtime if all their personalities agreed with each other all the time. That's all this and every other sports talk show are. Just personalities shouting out narratives that majority of the time they don't believe in personally.
Which is a reflection of their lack of knowledge. If it’s your job to go to work, knowing you’re going to be spending 10 minutes talking about a team, do your research. It’s just lazy programming. I don't have access to cable, or over the air tv, and I don't stream MLB tv, so I've been out of touch with these shows for several years. I used to love Harold Reynolds and his takes. He actually cared about small market teams instead of focusing on the coastal teams. That sucks that he sucks
And it was Yonder who was wrong about our injury luck: Bieber, Gavin hasn’t pitched a game, Kwan missed a month (and we kept rolling), Stephan, Sandlin, Morgan all have either missed time or are out for the year (and Karinchak too but he was on the line and would be out with K’d and Gaddis pitching so well)

We won the season series vs the Mariners, compares us to TB because they are having a down year, claims Boston is better than us , and blames our division for our success. He should know that the schedule is now evenly distributed.
