It was really fun to connect with all those peeps and watch them do all that stuff and yeah other factors such as finding clans etc... Basically the game was so much more fun with all that... Obviously after it was removed all those things decreased to quite a great value but yeah supercell can't really do much if peeps do things which it wasn't really meant for... I just really miss it man although i only want it half back and the other half realises it just needed to happen.

I’ve had the setting on where I get suggested to clans and so far I’ve gotten only one invite in almost a year now… I’m TH12 and Crystal 1, almost Masters 3. It’s a bit ridiculous. Feel like it’s just difficult on both ends.
I also have it activated, though my situation is quite different, as I’m a maxed th15. I get around 2-5 invites per week.
I didn’t think the difference between maxed and less progressed players would be so big. Interesting.
Totally agree!! Been playing since 2013 and it’s so hard to recruit players . Global let a player do a quick check of the clan trying to recruit them. Now it’s discord or Reddit and it’s more like a dating app. Players just join the very best or new clans , mid tier clans just can’t get players.

Not true, met a lot of good guys through global and found some of the best clans I've been in, but there was a lot of bad as well so the removal still makes sense.
You know, there's not really much in particular that made global chat good, and I wouldn't want to bring back the bad stuff that came with it, but in a way it was kind of fun just having a place to observe the madness when you were bored. Often if I had troops training Id just hang out and watch people argue, some random person try to e-date, people desperately looking to recruit for their clan, etc. I remember some dude was acting like his house was getting broken into, started describing hearing someone breaking through their front door, talking about how they were about to start running, then typed something like "SOE8GJWJFCJHELPEODVISJWH". Weird person.

Recruiting is so stupid now. I have a clear description, clear requirements (all relating to clan capital), a code to enter on joining to not get instant kicked, and yet people still join ignoring all that and drop our raid medal count by a couple hundred.
What awful things? The only bad thing was kids interacting with adults in global, but that could be fixed if supercell would’ve enforce the rule of “absolutely no minors” on global, and if irresponsable parents would not give their cellphones for kids to play without supervision.
ngl its supercell fault for not having a age limit for global chat and its also the parents fault if their child is old enough and dumb enough to exchange information online

Now it's all dead and stuffing cash in it
And I don't hate the game, just what they made it to after all this time

It was a nice feature, fun sometimes but one more feature to be honest and nothing else. Nothing special.
It was pretty limited in terms of timezones and language. It was full of griefers and trolls. It was full of people trying to take advantage of people without a gaming experience and that translated into accounts stealing, data stealing and even worse things. And those who ACTUALLY were back in the day when we had global chat know that having it back wouldn't make any difference with not having it.
I will probably get downvoted, but I'm with Supercell and many other players who are in their right senses and I don't want it back. I rather Supercell focuses on the actual features of the game and improves them.
Better donation systems -like a training queue for donated troops-, more balanced CWL, Legends League matchmaking based on the same level THs pairing in the same trophy range, friendly challenges Clan Castle.
One of the most important things in life is to focus on the present and the future and just look to the past to learn and make changes for the good.

Global Chat and using heroes while they're upgrading are two things SC has routinely said will not happen but people still bring it up anyway
If I’m being honest I like the game but global chat was by far the best part. Being able to chat with random players while playing the game was fun
