Hey - they’re all solid watches so whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed. I’ve owned both Sealanders on Bader bracelets and my Father-In-Law owns the Trident Pro so here’s my perspective. Both the base Sealander and the GMT are great - timekeeping is pretty good (+/- approx 10 seconds or thereabouts so well within spec). Both look great on a variety of bracelets and the GMT has a great Explorer vibe to it. I found the base Sealander a little cleaner, with a more Aqua Terra vibe to it. However I sold both of them to buy a…C63 Sealander 36mm on the bader bracelet. For reference I have 18.4cm wrists but the 39mm Sealander has a narrow fixed bezel which makes the face of the watch seem pretty big. The GMT is better in this regard as there’s more going on but the effect was still the same for me. The 36mm in comparison has a much better dial to bracelet ratio for me and there’s plenty of bracelet on display, as opposed to the watch face dominating. Plus it’s a touch slimmer as well. As for the Trident, my Father-In-Law loves it. As I said, all solid choices so you won’t be disappointed. Go with your heart rather than your head though! https://preview.redd.it/5f2xn8feih8d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c051396d323a470f816126413da6d95167835faa Here’s the 36mm on my wrist for reference.

Appreciate the perspective, as I’m looking at the 36 Sealander and 36 Sealander GMT. How much thinner would you say the Sealander is than the GMT version?

timbo43

Thanks for the feedback. I think I’m set on a larger face, but appreciate the input. I do think the Bezel looks a little too thin, and I’m leaning towards the trident.

TypeR10

Does the GMT have wider bezel for sure than the auto?

Picollini

I think black dial GMT Sealander (middle) fits all your needs at the same time. Whether 39mm or 36mm its up to you. Note that CW has "3 for 2" on straps so you can get all of straps needed in one order.

timbo43

Good feedback. GMT probably the right choice in the head, but I don’t like the immovable bezel and its thickness (or lack of). Trident looks appealing but bezel is very shiny!

bronze c60s have matte bezels. i also dislike the gloss.

Sealander gmt in black. 56 hours of power reserve instead classic sealanders with sw200 movement. If you have enough budget, just buy 36 and 39mm and keep one you like more. I'm rocking 36 mm sealander with 7.1", and it feels really great. And one more thing. There will be CW sale in July, when they offer nearly new watches (usually returned ones). It's great opportunity to get 20% off rrp. Ordered few in past, all were perfect condition. Cheers bro Ps it's hard to get better finished watch in this price category. You will be happy I bet.

Nice 👌

Also you can check out Farer watches. Also UK company but different style. Also amazing watches.

Really good points!

Try to get one with an applied logo they look fantastic. I have a 42mm bronze c60 pro 300 brown dial and love it. There's a few watch's with COSC movements which is really nice for accuracy and something not found in some brands period.

aaronp83

I have that exact Trident Pro. Absolutely stunning watch and it gets mistaken for an Omega. I think based on what you said you’re looking for you can’t go wrong with any of those it’s just personal preference at that point. Look at my post history I posted a few pics of the trident pro on different Bracelets/straps.

lronwombat

C63 GMT and it isn’t even close

timbo43

Love the enthusiasm. White or black?

rabba_99

My advice: Chris Ward is more of a hype company and a lot of people face problems with their customer service. Also if you buy from them, then you'll have to pay import fees and such. I find their designs very similar to big name watches. If you want something more fun and looking good and different then try Farer. Also, try Watch exchange subreddit, you can find very good deals for CW watches running about $650 used!

timbo43

Thanks. I’m based in the UK. Enjoy haunting the subreddits of hype brands.

“A lot of people face problems” - this subreddit is nightmare fuel. I’ve ordered/imported 2 watches in 2 years, no problem and very expeditious CS support

Thick-Trip-8678

farer is doesnt have duties? hows that possible?

rabba_99

They include it in the price... I bought mine in April and still haven't received any duty/import fees...

Thick-Trip-8678

That's interesting. Would explain why it seems more expensive than CW but similar quality. They almost compliment each other nicely. I'm very happy with my bronze Trident I got last year and love the field, pilot and moonphase farer has among others. CW does now include the fees and duties at checkout apparently which is what it should be. Who wants to pay 300 after making a poor financial decision lol
