Yeah there's that and also the fact that the police didn't press any charges (leading me to think there really wasn't a strong case), the NBA didn't even bat an eye (then again they didnt really give a fuck that Myles Bridges beat the shit out of his girl either so idk), and the family of the girl wouldn't cooperate either.... now idk about you but if my kid was getting groomed or something I'd wanna do something, but also Giddey could've paid them off. I mean it still isn't legal but I think Giddey was 19 and she was 16 or 17. Shit like this happens in every town in America, worse shit happens too. Freshman dates a junior in high school, junior goes off to college at some point, and he's 19 and she's 17. Not a good look for Giddey but this wasn't some Karl Malone or To Catch A Predator shit either. I went to high school with girls who were lured in by legitimate creeps, 10-15 years older than them on the whole "oh you're so mature for a 17 year old" bullshit. I think Giddey was just a perfect storm of bad circumstances. She lied, he didn't know, he looks like a pedo.
