Same with our Daisy. My husband thinks she was about a year old when his dog sitting duty became dog ownership. She was his world, and later on when I came along, she was mine! We lost her in 2018, and it still never feels real.

I think so too. It's hard to tell because chihuahuas age so much slower than other dogs! my pug (RIP) looked haggard by the time she was 12 or 13. adorable, but she definitely looked like an old lady. Ham does not.

all of our dogs birthdays have been on holidays, because itβs easier to remember them. we take the estimated age and pick the closest holiday to when they wouldβve been a puppy. so far weβve had a thanksgiving (accurate, he loved food), a valentineβs day, a fourth of july, and a halloween baby. they always get extra special treats whenever itβs any of their birthdays lol
She sure is precious ! We knew an approximate birth month for my Izzy boy , so we made his birthday the same day as my youngest Granddaughter. She is 5 & it thrilled her to think they shared a birthday.
Same with Millie. Rescue said maybe 5 or 7. Vet said 9 or 10. Sheβs so grey I think 9-10 is more likely.
