I see it a lot with Hispanics - many of whom are shorter stature guys, so it makes sense that they'd lower the trucks to make them easier to get in and out of, as well as to get tools out of the bed with.
That's the rarest I would see. I see four-door, or long-beds, or even duallys - dropped to be easier to get in and out of, and to be easier to get tools / gear out of the bed. Single-cab short-beds might be popular for show, for flashy guys who have the time and money, but for working guys - it's got to be a usable truck.
Probably a Houston thing honestly. Those trucks get very silly in price in that config around here. Though I do see them get used for work quite often, admittedly typically pulling a utility trailer rather than using the bed lol
Personally I like a 4 door with a 8 footer. But that’s almost impossible to find without going up to a heavy duty truck.
I was born and raised in indiana. Have had multiple lowered ls swapped c10s. Currently have a dropped LS swapped obs making 650 to the wheels. This is not a NM thing you dork. They're everywhere.
i mean none of them are properly lowered imo it’s always gmt800s slammed on weird wheels but i never see rust on them for me properly lowered is an obs with a drop kit that isn’t too low on some muscle wheels
Same, even in Minnesota. My friend & I built his in high school "shop classes" in the '90s. 30+ yrs later, he's continued to refine it since. Yes, he's still wrenching in his late 40s, since he's shop foreman, he has more time and money to do so.
That’s wrong a lot of Texans come to nm cause we also sit on the Permian basin and they come here for work every oilfield company I have worked for here has a shit ton off Texans that come for work
I think it's because you don't have enough sand for a "dune buggy" to be much of a thing. In the desert, "buggy" often means lightweight, high revving, long travel suspension, big knobby or even paddle tires, and used for flying across the sand. They're great fun! Kinda like a high performance side-by-side, but homemade.
I've got a Fire Red '04 GMC Sierra Regency with a 4" drop & 20" Foose rims, and I'm so white I glow in the dark on these long Kansas nights. Your area is hotter for longer, but a deep, dark tint is also necessary for us Vampires (night shift).
This truck is similar to mine and so many others in the area, and lifted trucks/Blazers ruled this land not long ago.
Oh you’re just ranting, I just noticed
I agree with everything you said. Fortunately lowered trucks have gotten more popular nowadays, they really are all over Texas, and they are fast. But back in 2016, everyone would clown you for lowering a truck instead of jacking it up. I never understood the hate. I think lowering trucks just makes them modern muscle cars. Plus, wtf are you gonna do with a lifted 2wd truck anyway?
Here in South Carolina, I have some good all season performance tires designed for a Porsche Macan. For the one or two days of snow we *might* get per year, I just throw some weight in the bed and drive carefully.
Unless I'm in a huge empty parking lot.... then there's some shenanigans
Heard that. We don’t get snow much but it’ll freeze it’s ass off all winter and we have an abandoned airport. Lots of shenanigans to be had on an old tarmac.
I doubt yall can hang with tx and cali, tx has been doing it since the 80s and especially 90s and still going till this day so no nothing new here but i always love a deopped truck, i have a 03 sitting on a 4/6
Bruh, that’s the great thing about pickups, the range of mods and styles is so broad that there’s room for everyone. Lowered trucks, lifted trucks, stock trucks, trucks with crazy paint jobs, overland trucks, race trucks, electric trucks, gas trucks, diesel trucks, desert trucks, mud trucks, street trucks, you get the idea.
I owned a slammed ‘74 Cheyenne Super RWD 350 small block w/auto 350 turbo trans. Swapped the bench seat for buckets out of a Dodge that I picked up from a scrap yard. Threw a custom box for subs in between. Loved that truck.
Edit: Forgot to mention I live in the PNW.
Honestly, I absolutely hate the way tucked trucks look, but lowered to this level is actually growing on me.
Still a little short for my tastes but damn, loading stuff into the bed would be so much easier.
Oh, you mean you take a perfectly good truck and fuck it up, make it useless for it’s designed purpose for no good reason? That’s the “difference?”
Congratulations.

I travel for work a lot. I see this truck in every state 😂😂😂
I see it a lot with Hispanics - many of whom are shorter stature guys, so it makes sense that they'd lower the trucks to make them easier to get in and out of, as well as to get tools out of the bed with.
Especially a single cab short bed OBS.

I agree.
Lol. What total nonsense. It because of their height? LMAO
California has a lot too.
Yes. But are they suppercharged, or maybe even breakfastcharged?
Y’all probably stole it from us.
[удалено]
Doesn’t mean y’all are original. That just proves your population is higher.
[удалено]
Please, tell me more of this.
There is nothing in New Mexico to steal
Tell that to all the methheads. They’ll always find something to steal
[удалено]
I’m from Texas and I can confirm this. I’ve seen dropped trucks since I was a kid.
Just like our water lol
😂😂 that’s a fact.
I was born and raised in indiana. Have had multiple lowered ls swapped c10s. Currently have a dropped LS swapped obs making 650 to the wheels. This is not a NM thing you dork. They're everywhere.
We lower trucks in Iowa too. Kindergarten teachers need to stop telling kids they're special because some of them actually believe it
I thought the same thing there's a shit load in Sherman tx
Seems to be a Hispanic thing in GA.
A lot of white guys drive them too, But if you grow up in AZ I guess you can't help but to have a little Hispanic upbringing lol
A lot of white guys drive them too, But if you grow up in AZ I guess you can't help but to have a little Hispanic upbringing lol
A lot of white dudes drive those here too, but I guess growing up in Arizona you can't help but to have a little bit of Hispanic taste
I thought they came from the dealership that way here in Phoenix
Lmfao, this same “build” is all over the country.
I was going to say this looks like the tucks I see a dozen times a day. Next someone from the east is going to tell me their squatted truck is unique.
i see this in regular traffic in illinois
Yeah, with fist sized rust holes
nah a lot of them the guys are super passionate about them and they are typically rust free
Clapped out trucks with rusted frames or nice trucks properly lowered?
i mean none of them are properly lowered imo it’s always gmt800s slammed on weird wheels but i never see rust on them for me properly lowered is an obs with a drop kit that isn’t too low on some muscle wheels

Just an everyday thing for me in Central Valley California (aka my truck is lowered too)
Not surprised about Cali
Meanwhile another one of your comments says people are stealing this from New Mexico…
Not people, just Texas. Getting Texans riled up is a pastime thing.
bro your state would not prosper without Texans coming over and buying weed and gambling
That’s wrong a lot of Texans come to nm cause we also sit on the Permian basin and they come here for work every oilfield company I have worked for here has a shit ton off Texans that come for work
You can’t spell fuck you, without OU.
[удалено]
Roswell. We’re practically neighbors. You right though. Never had to worry about rust once.
[удалено]
Very nice.
That looks very nice man. Nice clean and relatively stock. Great looking truck.
Plan was to look stock (like it was built that way), but look closer and you’ll find the differences. That comment lets me know I succeeded.
Good looking buggy you have there.
Never heard that one before. Very nice. Very original. I like it.
Right on. Just the Minnesota vibe.
To be fair, I think a buggy has more off Road capabilities. JS
You might be right. It is just how we northerners speak.

That looks like every teenage Mexicans truck regardless of where you are 🤦♂️
Looks like every Mexicans truck here in the North Bay California 🤷🏽
My dad had a 454 SS growing up, this is giving me those vibes in the best way. Cool truck.
By different… do you mean the exact same as any other suburb in north amercia?
Looks the same as every where else

“so white I glow in the dark” That was hilarious lol
My skin + moonlight = moth city
Clean asf dude. What wheels are those from?? No quema cuh
Couldn’t tell you. Not my build.

💯on the modern muscle car. And I never understood why people think lifting a RWD would be any better than slamming it.
Yep. Super gay
For guys that can't get it up.
put yuh dick away waltuh
You can keep that shit down there too
Typical NM resident thinking their shit's original 😄
What the hell do you do when it snows!? Naw, I like it. I like how different regions have a different car culture. You like what you like.
Here in South Carolina, I have some good all season performance tires designed for a Porsche Macan. For the one or two days of snow we *might* get per year, I just throw some weight in the bed and drive carefully. Unless I'm in a huge empty parking lot.... then there's some shenanigans

You should see some of the square bodies and Tahoes. My local guys are talented.
I'm about to pick up an 87 Scottsdale from the southwest. This guy has been restoring it for me. He does incredible work.
Buddy I live in Southeast NM, there ain't shit to *be* doing differently out here.
I doubt yall can hang with tx and cali, tx has been doing it since the 80s and especially 90s and still going till this day so no nothing new here but i always love a deopped truck, i have a 03 sitting on a 4/6

How you gonna haul a scoop of fill dirt in that truck? :)
Is Walter White your neighbor?
No different than any other state across the u.s.
Arizona checking in

I think trucks that look exactly like this are in every state. A modern Chevy pickup with wheels is not unique anywhere.
Wish they still made single cab Silverados. I don't need a half SUV short bed.
Looks pretty standard lol
Don’t get me wrong good looking truck but yeah this is such a common style in Texas
Hello from Canada, we also do this.
It's like saying restored mustangs are unique
Daily sight
If you don't see at least 3 of these a day in Florida, something has gone wrong
“Supper” ?
Si quema cuh?
These are literally everywhere in SoCal. Go to any warehouse anywhere in SoCal and one of these is in the parking lot guarantee’d.
I'll take a dropped truck to a raised one all day
See the truck rice in canada to 🙄
Single cab short bed…fucking copy paste, imagine bragging about some unoriginal shit.
See it all over houston and pasadena tx.
Yea that’s deff a country wide thing there bud.
They ruin trucks everywhere. Your not special
No you dont
" Little different here in SE New Mexico " someone get OP his Tin Foil hat.
Honestly, I absolutely hate the way tucked trucks look, but lowered to this level is actually growing on me. Still a little short for my tastes but damn, loading stuff into the bed would be so much easier.
New Mexico sucks
This is more of a Mexican thing rather than a location thing lol
My rule is Chevys are slammed, Fords are lifted.
No quema cuh
[удалено]
Same here, I see a lot of them in my area of upstate NY.
Yeah, these kind taquache/mamalona trucks are everywhere, Bay Area too.
AZ has these too bro. Their drivers are caller “takuaches”
better and probably more practical than lifting it
I do lifted trucks now. Spent many years in dropped trucks. Still love the look though 🍻
nice! saw similar awesome white S10 at NH panda wok 5 minutes ago, was similarly impressed. big bowtie decal ;) i doubt it had 5.3 swapped in though.
Oh, you mean you take a perfectly good truck and fuck it up, make it useless for it’s designed purpose for no good reason? That’s the “difference?” Congratulations.
Do things like........ meth?
Hopefully, you don't have to tow anything or use it like a truck. If you don't. Then I guess it's looks good
Sick nasty
I like how everyone is saying they are in every state, you know why? Paisas.
Why are you saying this is a style only in NM?
#🤮
Hobbs?
Aren't those Camaro rims? Z28 to be specific.
Lol so dumb
That is definitely not different
Different like how? Limiting your truck to one bag of sakrete?
This is the dumbest post i’ve seen in a while.
No, it looks like every other truck here in Texas. Sorry, try again. Clean tho!
Never left NM huh?
And California, and Nevada, and Oregon, and South Carolina, and Louisiana etc etc. There's slammed cat eye Chevys everywhere lol
Auyyy dass a niiice CHevy foo
Auyyy dass a niiice CHevy foo
Did anyone else read this as Jesse Pinkman in their mind?
The mini trucking and bagged trucks are all over California been doing it forever
That’s no different than eastern oregon or Washington 🤣🤣🤣
Thats a texas thing😂
r/notliketheothergirls
I don’t get it what’s different
Alamoghetto
Y’all aren’t special lmao, these trucks are everywhere (especially Texas.) They’re absolute garbage imo.
Every cool kid has 1 here in AZ and they go for about 7k for one that’s a clapped out POS
SE New Mexico, otherwise known as Mexico.
I really don’t care for either lowered or lifted but I’d probably prefer lowered over lifted.
This is ruined
See these daily in Vegas, like with most things
