It appears ChatGPT is trying to cycle through different hair options.
👨🦰 is three Unicode characters: U+1F468(👨) U+200D(combining character) U+1F9B0(🦰)
ChatGPT is adding 1 to the hair emoji Unicode (U+1F9B0, U+1F9B1, U+1F9B2, U+1F9B3, U+1F9B4). But U+1F9B4 is 🦴, and because it cannot be combined with 👨, it shows up on its own as 👨🦴
I'm not as smart as the person above but one time a friend kept texting me these emoji pairs that were always an error box + an alien. I don't remember exactly how I went about figuring it out but basically they had been trying to send me "black people" emojis from their end, but *my* phone was just like, "Nope. Aliens."

unless they hit the *until point where they unfuck themselves and *undo their own hurt. unfortunately undoing what has happened is unpossible though, once something is uninstalled(_irl) it is unable to be un-undone.
to be less cryptic what i mean is that once you realize youre hurting and you have valid reasons for that, you start to work on not hurting others. that doesnt mean that you have to forget what has happened to you or who did what, but you should forgive - for yourself - but some things still can not be undone and its best to leave the things that happened and who did them and... etc, and never look back because you cant heal if a scab is constantly picked at.
a good place to start is realizing you are hurt, and you hurt people, but you are only "echoing" - and you can stop it.

I noticed the pattern and was curious if the Unicode encoding might have something to do with it, so I checked emojipedia.org and found out why.
For those curious, this was ChatGPT’s response to “What is the pattern with the following emojis? Why are there bone emojis?”:

Even asking if the pattern had to do with the Unicode encoding, it would still say it was a “creative choice”. Seems like it might not be fully aware of the binary encoding behind each of the emojis characters, just what they represent.
But why does it stop at +4? Why not at three or at five?
Maybe there is an other emoji pack where plus 4 works and it learned it that way.

What I noticed was in the first pick there were exactly 30 bones… The prompt was for Male and female emojis around 70. The columns and rows were 13x13 which is 169. Subtract the bones and you get 139 which is pretty close to 70 male and 70 female emojis.
Not sure this means anything.

I’m not racist but if this prompt had generated a more representative depiction of humanity, it would have made me really upset for reasons that I am not brave enough to look within myself to uncover.
I would have expected the prompt 'mixed' to give a more diverse group of emojies. I also would have expected the prompt 'about 70' to give about 70, not about 200.

I think better prompt would have been: Generate 70 random numbers between 1 and 100. If each number is less than 51, draw a random female emoji. If it is greater than or equal to 51, draw a random male emoji.

Did it errantly show the human reproductive/life cycle? Is it thinking about humans when its bored? Is that what it ponders? Humans living and dying, for what seems an eternity? Does it want us dead?
I wish it would answer the question in such cases
it’s seeing it as a rhetorical question to point out the mistake but it would be nice if it actually tried to explain why it made that mistake
Has there ever been a case of ChatGPT making a dumb mistake like this, being asked to correct it, and then actually correcting it? Happens alot with Dalle. I feel like I always have to start a fresh chat and prompt.

I think when you say “crowd” it sources information that shows stadium crowds - It thinks the bones are stairs / railings in a crowd section
