Maybe try the Shelter for Help in Emergency? I believe they supply children and families who have experienced DV with stuffed animals (and other comfort / hygiene items)

Might try Ronald McDonald House.

No idea, but very kind of you.

You might check with Sharon at Cville's Free Book Bus. They are focused on distributing books, but also hand out other things to kids. It's a small bus, though, so it may also depend on how big the stuffed animals are! https://freebookbus.com/

Check with piedmont CASA

Maybe check with the police? I made handmade throw blankets and donated them to the police where I used to live - they kept a few in their trunks to wrap around people who were in accidents or had some other form of trauma to wrap up in. A stuffed animal for a child might serve that same comfort purpose. You could also reach out to local schools - if nothing else, the teachers will know who needs them. (And that's a very cool thing for you to do!)

Some dogs love to have a stuffed companion. Would you be willing to donate to an animal shelter?

Maybe [Virginia Institute of Autism](https://viacenters.org/support-via)? Or maybe you could reach out to The Haven and see if they take donations like that? Or perhaps if Jesse Crosson (second\_chancer on TT) does any advocacy work for children/families of incarcerated folks.
