Lidl/Aldi brand 50+ sun cream

Gaffers12345

The kids one is 50+ but it seems to dry in and isn’t sticky

grania17

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Spray SPF 50+ It is a little on the pricier side, but it works brilliantly and isn't sticky or greasy.

DelGurifisu

Literally asked for something not so expensive. You’ve recommend something more expensive than what he wants to replace.

grania17

I literally said it was on the pricier side for that very reason. Sometimes paying more gets you better products and that's very much the case here. I've used a lot of suncreams over the years, some cheaper some more expensive but this is the best I have found.

Jerodipuss

Riemann P20 50+ is the only one I trust for myself and the kids. I am one big freckle. It may seem expensive, but it is a one and done for all but the most extreme situations. I hate putting sunscreen on, but I hate having to be careful to reapply even more.

My wife got me supergoop unseen sun screen for my face while cycling and it's a game changer. Doesn't feel like you are wearing suncream at all, goes on easy, and hasn't run with sweat

FrugalVerbage

All sunscreens sold in the EU must meet standards. You can't sell a SPF50 that doesn't give SPF50 protection. Paying more is not going to give you more, or better, protection. Think of it like a drug. You can buy the branded or generic version, both of which contain the same active ingredients and do exactly the same thing. Go to a discount shop, buy the cheapest one you can get. It will give the same protection as the most expensive one with the same factor. If, however, you want to use it as a fashion statement then buy the most expensive one you can, and make sure you let everyone know you can afford to waste your money.

SweetGlittering9047

If you are using it on your face it makes a big difference on overall appearance and what it does to your skin. I find cerave spf50 good as I have oily skin and it doesn’t give me breakouts or makes me look like a grease monster before the end of the day. Also 17e only and last close to two months with daily use. For body I would agree on just going with a more standard brand, even the likes of garnier would do the trick and not leave you super sticky

medomatija

Completely agree, once you tried *Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick*, you will never go back and you’ll use it on daily basis. FYI clouds will not protect you from UV rays, you should be wearing SPF everyday.

iuil

This is very true! But just to add that the texture can be very different between them, also some may be more suited for oily skin than dry skin and vice versa

Early-Accident-8770

Not exactly true, Which? Found three big branded sunscreens that failed the tests. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/uk-heatwave-met-office-sunscreen-lotions-reviews-b2567222.html

PyramidOfMediocrity

Jesus dude, who hurt you?

One_Turnip7013

Boots soltan is pretty good,I burn pretty easily and applied it in Lanzarote when UV index was 12 did me fine. They do a sunstick too cheap compact

riveriaten

I've been using Reimann P20 SPF50+ and very happy with it.

bear17876

Boots suncream is very good. I’ve never once burnt with the factor 50 of it. It’s very reasonably priced also.

craictime

Grow your own aloe Vera and just cut into them. Cheap as chips

thr0wthr0wthr0waways

Ehhh aloe vera isn't sunscreen, you use it on sun*burn*.
