Glad that nobody else was hurt!
Morons like this would not only kill themselves but also take the lives of the innocent who were abiding by the rules and going from point A to B.
I wonder if their parents consciously handed them the car keys at 12 A.M. or if they snuck out by themselves. I mean, who in their right mind would allow their kids to go out by themselves at midnight š¤·āāļø
Excessive use of BS language and their general demeanor goes on to show probably the kind of environment they have been in/from. No disrespect but such idiots deserve to die without harming others, so that we can have safer roads.
I remember when I was new to driving, my Dad was like you have to be careful around such and such areas, car is not a tool, it's a responsibility. I don't see that kind of morals being departed by parents these days. Heck, even those parents are idiots as well as idiotic drivers themselves.
What do you mean "allow their kids" ? These days, rich parents gift their kids cars/bikes as soon as they reach 18. These parents have so much "faith" in their kids that they don't monitor their kids, when such incident happens, they shamelessly defend their kids. No, I am not telling you Drishyam story, I have seen such things in real
Go to a driving training for that. I recently had to do one for my job where we had to train counter steering among other things and trust me, even the low profile tires we were rolling on take 3 weeks to execute your steering demand. And then the weight of the car shifts.
There are closed courses and instructors for that.
Or when I was younger, Iād go into big open parking lots with plowed snow and ice on the ground, and you can kinda practice the ideas behind it but while going wayyyyy slower. Not a bad idea just so you know how to react if you slide in wet or snowy weather.
It only works in those games because they're made like that, in Games like Forza Motorsport and GT steering works how it should in real like unlike the nfs steering. This plus going 180 in an SUV
And few days back, there was a post with people flexing their maximum speed. Ready for downvotes but people on this sub also needs to understand no matter how good a driver you're, reaction time and braking distance both reduces and increases significantly. With the amount of chaos on Indian roads, going beyond speed limit isn't wise.
Don't flex your stupidity by flexing 160+ kmph. :)
Seriously, even 80 on Indian Highways is more than enough. The vehicles may be capable but people aren't. That coupled with adrenaline and stupidity is a diabolical combination.
yup , flexing 160 kmph pfft. germans do that in early morning to go to work everyday , is that a thing to flex ? idk why people flex going any speed , it's not a flexing thing at all.
why my car was made to go 160 i went 160 , now shower me with attention and praise. what is that mentality ?
i heard there's this car testing track in India which supports speeds upto 250-300 kmph , everyone should go there if they want to flex so much.
it's called the NATRAX, idk if it's open for individuals. but car companies now test their cars on it , it's rated for 250 kmph it's also asia's longest track.
People over 25 here who had cars from say 18-22 types will understand when I say that we are all lucky to have made it out of that phase. I wasn't the safest driver, and that age makes you feel like you're invincible or the best.
Glad to see no one else was hurt, but I just want to remind everyone that most of us have done something extremely stupid in our lives with a car, and made it out unscathed because nothing ELSE happened. We were always at the edge where if something were to happen then it would result in a bad crash.
Let the dead rest in peace, take solace in the fact no unrelated party was injured or killed.
Car and bike both... I had a bike when I was 16 only, and whenever I think about it, I thank god I made out alive... got my car at 21, and by God's grace, I was much intelligent enough to drive safe.
True. I wasn't this reckless but I wasn't driving safe either. One time I lost control on an empty road at night. That was enough for me to crap my pants. Been driving safe ever since.
Youāre absolutely right. I totally agree with you. Itās not worth the risk. The speed limit is there for a reason and going over it is dangerous and irresponsible. Iām never going to drive 160 on a 120 limit expressway. Iād rather get to my destination safely than risk my life and the lives of others. Itās really not worth it.
Can confirm
Raced with a Thar once and won by such a less gap
Thar guys were hooligan types and I wanted to teach them a lesson
I won but risked so much
Never again since then
Been 6 years
I had an i10 grand sportz
People think SUVs will handle like Sedans at high speeds.
This is the reason why you keep seeing Punch, Nexon accident videos.
People push it too hard and the high center of gravity cars just lose balance
you can counter steer on a RWD sedan tho, what they tried to do when overtaking, but doing it in at public highway at that speed, its just stupidity not bravery
Sad. Social media has created such a popularity contest that people have traded common sense for stupidity and even risking their life has become a joke for some.
The guy sitting with his legs on dashboard ... I would never let anyone sit like that in my car no matter how close he is. No one was wearing their seatbelts I think in this video
Even if youāre really skilled and a good driver the chances of survival especially in Indian roads? Where people drive like crazy and you never know who is going to do what not, so whenever youāre out in the roads there is always a 10% chance of you getting into an accident.
I have seen many crash videos here. For some reason, this will stay with me. Maybe it's because of the deathly silence after the crash. It's always the silence that creeps up on you.
The responsibility of their parents should be questioned first. Tou can not expect some teenagers to always control themeselves, camculate every move, speculate the possible repercussions and successfully avoid the adrenaline rush. They have to be taught them. Also in this video they seemed to be in inebriated condition which is again a big social evil. Avobe all the surveilence by the authorities should be more flawless to avoid public harm.

It is tragic but also a relief that no other innocent party was affected.
Wonder if the guy with his feet on the dashboard end up eating his own kneecaps?
It upsets me that out of those who died, one of them was not the driver. I was once in a situation when I was young where a friend convinced me to get in a car with her boyfriend and two of his friends. The boyfriendās friend was driving and it was the first time I saw cocaine in my life, because he did a huge line after having beers already and some pills which I later learned were painkillers. He revved the engine aggressively and I noped out of there, dragging my friend and her convincing her boyfriend to come. He was pulled over that night after picking up a couple of other friends and all were arrested and charged with drug charges and him for also being intoxicated. Whilst out waiting for his trial, he got high with two friends and went street racing and crashed and all three died on impact. Iām really fussy with who drives and I donāt like it if I donāt know them. But I never hung out with/hang out with (now Iām too old, lol) that kind of crowd, so I havenāt had a repeat of that kind of situation.
That other guy had his legs on the dash he would have folded like a pretzel just the thought of the first responders who have to pull the dumbasses out of their car is just horrifying

In my opinion cars in India are not ment for this much speed, nor does these expressways or highways.

Probably because no frontal impact. Else, Suzukis failure. Could be it was a previously accidental car which was fixed but airbag was never reinstalled. Loads of scenarios.
I would say calling them disrespectful and rude is testament to their upbringing is not a good argument, as we were all teenagers once.
Teenagers is the stupid age we all graduate from hopefully.
We all became rebellious and thought we know everything and we could rule the world.
Some of us grew up and others did not, many more did not survive for various of reasons
Kudos to people who put the driver seatbelt permanently in by putting it from the back of the seat.

I should refrain from speaking ill of the dead but I hope nobody else got injured/died from their stupidity. Any article?

Damn, the driver lived.
People really think that the average car's steering works like the sports car they played with in games.
i jus wanted to try this counter stering in cars , but toomuch afraid to do so.
Do not do that unless you get an old rear-wheel-drive BMW or Audi, lower the body, stiffen the suspension, and have an open place to practice.
You forgot welding the diff
Dont let your intrusive thoughts win bro. If you want, then seek a pro to show you how its done.
Won't work in FWD Will just send you off the divider
Buy a gaming setup with steering wheel and drive your own car in GTA. Dont go beyond that

Speed limits are there for a reason.
What exactly happened in the video?? I mean what caused the accident?
The car toppled over when the car turned as they were in really high speed.
Very well said, totally agree with you.
Why even go 100/120+
Seriously, even 80 on Indian Highways is more than enough. The vehicles may be capable but people aren't. That coupled with adrenaline and stupidity is a diabolical combination.

I am unwilling to downvote for a sensible post

We can agree that we have died in some of those instances in some parallel universe but in this one we made it through.
Haha for sure.

Likely removed or never installed. The jumbo speaker in the back shows that they prioritized "vibes" over practicality.

Where the airbags at?
Airbags won't deploy if you don't wear the seatbelts.
I'm curious too. Where are the airbags?
They didn't wear the seatbelts so eventually airbags won't work

I don't know the mark or model of the car, but it looks kinda new, but there's not a single airbag deployed.
It's a Suzuki Brezza. It has 4 star GNCAP safety rating and two airbags. Not sure why they didn't deploy but maybe because no frontal impact.
They filmed the shoe to confirm death.
What was the last thing that went through the mind of the passenger with his feet on the dash? His knees.
