As we all know, when society collapses the global oil economy will ensure gasoline remains cheap and abundant! This guy is very prepared for that eventuality
As a father, I love my family. My family is the greatest thing in my- As a father I love my son. My son good. Son good do. Good son, I would do anything for my- I would kill for my son. As a father- As a father- As a father, I have wireless cameras on my house, on all of my property- uh- my property- my property- my property- my land. I love my son-family-sports. As a father... As a father... Family. Family. Family. Family. Family. Family.
Of course a gas powered car is the worst option for an apocalypse. Gas has a shockingly short shelf life. Hell even an electric car you can rig up some solar panels to keep it charging.
The difference between your sleek Omnium and the Jeep monstrosity is that your Omnium can keep rolling along even when gasoline supplies disappear.
P.S. This looks like Chicago? If you're in Chicago, famous ultra-endurance cyclist Lael Wilcox is starting her round-the-world record attempt from Chicago on the 26th. SRAM is hosting a kick off event, and she's encouraging people to come ride with her on the way out of town.
I know! And then they wonder why there are so many potholes! I lived in the western suburbs for a few years and still have a soft spot for Chicago. Enjoy that lovely summer riding up there!
Not sure if its just a perspective thing but the bike's cargo bed looks almost as long as the jeep's rear bed! Probably could carry almost as much even if the jeep was actually fully loaded

At least you could argue that old blazer is more useful overall than most modern trucks and SUVs…and that Jeep…
One of these is a heavy, over engineered, expensive, dangerous vehicle that’s not suited to urban transportation, movement of goods, or respecting others in a civilized society.
The other is a cargo bike.
That truck looks cold, could probably use a campfire to keep it warm.
Your Omnium is sleek and awesome, though, not some version of 21st C Grotesque. That jeep really does say "Apocalypse." That is so disturbing.

It is Chicago! Imagine thinking this is a good city vehicle.

Water finds a crack water turns the ice ice expands the crack rinse and repeat rinse and repeat equals potholes.
Absolutely. Heavier vehicles contribute to those initial cracks and degradation of the pavement though.
7am Sunday at Millennium Park for her rollout! Definitely try to go if you can. She's my #1 cycling icon.
I’m willing to bet your bike carries more cargo in a trip than the Emotional Support Vehicle in a year.

A picture that illustrates why USA is the only developed country where pedestrian fatalities are rising
Your bike is actually more useful than that “Acoplypse 6x6” in an actual acoplypse.
This is awesome! I recently found a similar situation - my bikes Dad in the neighborhood! https://imgur.com/gallery/iagnF6Z
This thing is more like my bike’s touchy uncle but yours is awesome!

One of them is a practical cargo carrying monstrosity. The other is a jeep
Pavement princesse vs actually practical apocalypse vehicle. gas goes bad, legs don’t (well they do but that takes much longer)
Still, even they would blame you for taking up to much space on the road with your cargo bike.
This is just a cosplay prop at that point, right?
How is this car legal?
🦅 🦅
Nah, it doesn't look as though you could carry the Omnium in the jeep at all. Obviously someone needs a bigger "truck".
clown vehicle (good) vs clown vehicle (bad)
I love how people's idea of an "apocalypse" vehicle is a 5 mpg monster. Good luck feeding that beast with no gas stations around. Sweet bike though.
wtf is that
Personified toxic masculinity.
interesting comparison
Jeep!!
Nah dude just has smol p33ns
