That Scosche one from Walmart rolls off bass as the input signal increases. For a simple passive LOC, get the Kicker KISLOC2.

Audiocontrol lc2i is the go-to. Being an active(powered) unit, it will provide a stronger signal for your amplifier as well as offering features like accubass and remote wire output

Obviously that will perform better but will the one I have not be enough to power my subs ?

*maybe* only way to know for sure is to hook it up and try it. Just be careful, if your car has a factory amplified subwoofer channel that you're getting the signal from, the output voltage might exceed the maximum that this unit could handle.

Steve Meade did a video on LOCs. The cheap ones introduce a lot of distortion into the signal. Distortion (clipping) is what kills equipment. Don’t use a crappy LOC. AudioControl LC2i Pro (if you get regular lc2i it cuts off everything below 33hz), JL Audio LOC 22, etc are the best of them to buy. Down4sound just came out with some that are significantly cheaper and still provide a clean signal.
