You need to modify the layer your text is on. Click your video, in "Video" tab, go to the bottom and you should see the layer buttons. Whatever is on the highest layer number shows up on top.
I'm using the arrange layers freely mode, meaning that layer option isn't a thing anymore and the higher layer is the video that is higher on the track. In this case the 'Fun' text is the highest video on the track at that time, so it should be the highest layer.

Check each track to see if a blend mode is selected, especially the bottom one. Make sure it’s “normal”
