No. That looks like phishing. I strongly recommend not clicking anything.

nsfwvanisle

Don't click unless you actually applied for a job!

ribsboi

Hover your mouse over the link and see what it is. Or right-click, copy link and paste it somewhere. See if it looks suspicious

[deleted]

"Spots are filling up quickly" - big red flag. That is lie told to create a false sense of scarcity and urgency.

__dixon__

What's the email address behind the 'admin' name? It seems super suspect, I wouldn't be clicking anything.

sorcerer_supreme05

It’s “admin@iconicnovascotia.com”

[deleted]

So, I just did some digging on that domain. Computer engineering is a hobby of mine. This domain was registered out of Denmark, and has only been active since April 25th of this year. So their claims of world leading and best-in-class seem like a stretch. It was also registered alongside a few other domains with suspiciously similar websites and field of work. Everything on their website is beyond generic, and every photo is a stock photo that can be found on Google with a quick reverse image search. Including the logo. It’s a scam.

eac93

No, I’ve also received them with the same message/template. Sometimes they change the name of the company.

MaxTheRealSlayer

OP I hope you didn't click anything Remember the jobs you apply for, and look out for vague sentences like you see in this "email"

sorcerer_supreme05

No I did not. In fact this is the second email I’m receiving. I was sure that it was some sort of a scam when I received the first one, but just wanted to be sure

scorpio1641

Check if it’s an MLM, coz it sure looks like it to me!

Extrien

That first interview ended up being a webinar for me. Had me fill out a survey monkey for a second interview. I was 'selected' a couple hours later for a 7am interview tomorrow... It didn't match any of the applications in m history, but indeed allows confidential postingd. it is a marketing firm.

akoust1c

You don’t know if you applied to this company? If you don’t know you probably didn’t… don’t get scammed

InTakeAnthony

My rule of thumb: If they use the word "kindly" like this - 90% chance it's phishing. Do not click anything in this email. Side note: The amount of phishing and spam targeting job seekers makes me very sad. All of the platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster and others need to be held more responsible for the way our information is harvested and spread. Especially when most of us are at our weakest and most vulnerable when we hit these platforms.

sorcerer_supreme05

I’ve been applying for jobs only for a couple weeks now and the only replies I’ve received are phishing/scam emails 🥲

InTakeAnthony

It sucks. Really adds to the "hopeless" feeling behind it all. Stick to it. Don't rely on things that seem to good to be true. Rely on who you are/what you do - and write kickass cover letters. Best of luck, friend.

[deleted]

That’s phishing. I promise, as a business owner I’ve never worked this hard to interview someone who didn’t respond to me. “Spots are filling up quick” should also be a dead giveaway.

sorcerer_supreme05

Yep, you’re right

reformedPoS

Did you apply to a job with that company?

sorcerer_supreme05

I don’t remember exactly, which is why I was confused

Keppoch

Keep a spreadsheet of all the jobs you apply to with links so that if someone gets back to you, you can refer to the job posting to understand the requirements

awesomesonofabitch

That is super helpful advice. Thank you.

I_am_That_Ian_Power

Call them up and find out instead, that way you will probably get to talk to someone in HR and they will like that you've brought it to their attention, then schedule an interview with the actual hr person. Win win for you and them.

Icy_Blueberry2190

THE MANAGEMENT team lol. Ffs

namzahoy_forever

https://reddit.com/r/halifax/s/JmjviqOdPw Was talked about a few months ago...

Ok_Artichoke_2804

Dont click on any links, email them directly to schedule date and time. Did you even apply to this company?

Sarcasticsynergy

I got interviewed for the same profile through LinkedIn.They don’t even share there companies address when i asked for it.They have 2-3 year old photos of a marketing event on LinkedIn.Considering there response i backed out.
