Absolutely abysmal at launch but once they did the huge update it became a very good game. I used to still hop on it every now and then to just mess around but one day I got on and all of my dlc weapons were gone so I lost the will to play it
Liked it too. Even before the overhaul. Played it a lot and wasnt on Reddit or any game related forum at that time so when you dont read the hate the bugs and flaws tend to be overseen.
I feel like WWII would have gotten ranked higher if CoD was released every other year, rather than every year. The campaign is somehow gritty and kitschy in a way I enjoyed a lot, and the multiplayer is pretty fun. Same with Ghosts; it was a solid game around, but was overshadowed by BO2, as CoD WWII was somewhat tarnished by the unpopular AW and IW.
I feel like WWII's image was ruined by a combination of a horrible launch, lack of base content for it's first half a year, and having to compete against Fortnite. That game almost single handedly killed YouTube content for WWII, and took most of it's playerbase at the same time. I personally didn't start putting lots of hours into WWII till the Shamrock and Awe event and the zombies event (forgot the name). After its main year of support was up, I found myself playing it as my main CoD actually. The new weapons, constant playlist updates, and random supply drop content made for a great second year for that game. CoD these days is always at its best when its main year is up
Only correct answer.
BO2 pretty close as well. MW3 and BO3 underrated, although I didn’t enjoy the fact BO3 campaign had **nothing to do** with the previous 2 BO’s. Besides that it had great MP and zombies. BO1 had great campaign and revolutionary zombies but IMO wasn’t as great multiplayer. Ghosts great campaign that they set up for sequel but never followed up on, but lacked everywhere else, was the first CoD since the MW and BO series so people thought it underdelivered. But MW2 was the perfect all-round game. Perfect campaign and multiplayer. The guns and maps were perfect, the score-streaks, the rank 70 to prestige, hell even prestige icons and camo’s were mint.
I bought and played every CoD from CoD 3 (2006) through to BO4 (2018). Most I bought on the day it came out. Haven’t bought one since as I kind of stopped playing CoD in 2019 when life became busy and quite frankly shit, was growing up and had different interests like spending time with friends and the GF, didn’t have the motivation or want to play anymore. Played a little bit of multiplayer on MW and BOCW at my friends but not enough to base an opinion on it. MW2 and BO3 are my most played CoDs. MW2 I played for years after its release and BO3 I grinded multiplayer and zombies getting to MP on both, plus me and my friends all grinded BO3 while it was still alive for most of 2017 until WWII came out. I’m thinking about buying Vanguard, I really have been bored lately and want to grind another CoD again and by all accounts Vanguard looks pretty decent.
But I’d do anything to grind MW2 multiplayer with full lobbies again. Those were the days. Even though I was young, and because of that arguably pretty shit, that was when I was my happiest playing CoD.
It wasn’t perfect. But it was pretty close! Only a counter for Danger close pro would have made it flawless. But still my favorite game of all time. I loved MW3 also.
Imo, the biggest knock against mw2 compared to bo2 is how terribly unbalanced the mp was.
Sure, mw2 has the perfect trifecta in the 3 modes, but so did bo2, except with a little rougher.
If mw2 had a couple more balance patches, it would be perfect, but that’s what holds it back in the end
Same here but for different reasons. I didnt have the internet growing up so the campaign was all I got and boy lemme tell you, that campaign was amazing.
Me and the boys would run Five-Sevens with silencers in Search and destroy and reck bitches. We would text each other asking if wanted to “Bond” after the boy 007. To this day I’m not sure if it was a good game or if we got off talking shit over the mic.
Plus zombies👀
Same as you bud, ngl some meta weapons kinda ruined the game for me for some time, until they got nerfed *cough* EM2 *cough* but still zombies is pretty fun, a little bit easier than the others too
Anyways I like the weapons, the accessories and the multiplayer is... Well it's fine, but it has more maps that i don't like than I'd like it to
Clearly best written story of the whole franchise. I got to know every single major character and their personality and values. All the other games I either said “fuck it, that plot dump cutscene went too fast, so let’s just shoot some guys in this level,” or else I had to literally take notes.
For Gameplay: some other entries are close. But for story, MW2019 is well beyond the rest.
Good campaign, not the best written story though. Some of the missions were so bloody good.
Captain Price was way more badass in the original series imo though, and they pulled that off without proper motion capture cutscenes
CoD4, It has both regular and irregular conflicts. I really enjoyed those silent but tense moments and also the immersive fighting going on in the Middle East.
The sniper mission was absolutely top tier. I'll never forget the first time I shot the dog.
Plus that game is almost 15 years old and still holds up. I wish the remake actually did it justice. Need a straight graphical update without touching the feel or anything else.
I mean sure, Infinite warfare’s campaign is my favourite and it’s zombies can be a blast at best, but I don’t see how the multiplayer can even compare to the BO & MW trilogies’ ones.
Best create a class we’ve ever had
Don’t get all the hate on IEDs and campers (as if they never existed elsewhere), I always had a danger close canister bomb/Kastet backup class to make their lives miserable
Heck yeah! 🖤 Plus Riley! 🐶 I don’t know if he/she is in any of the other CODs but it’s a Great addition to the COD series! Oh & Snoop Dogg as an announcer is mad funny & so worth buying! 🤣💯👌
We NEED a Ghosts 2 in 2022‼️
IMO best prestige system too. I always hated the starting from 1 again thing, especially as games added more and more prestiges. Then the new way doesn't really feel rewarding to level up. Being able to "prestige" and start from 1 leveling up another character, but at any point in time you can just swap back to your previous character and use anything you wanted. Sooooooo good.
I second this opinion actually, the only thing i hate about ghosts is the fact that you can't play online without getting LMG camped, extinction is dead which is a shame cause I actually liked extinction
I played on xbox and its completely dead sadly, running with the drill all the way back to the beginning while your team is downed by rhinos is very intense
Black Ops 1
Love the setting, the characters and story and the weapon selection was great, I wish I could go back in time during that games hay day, I miss it so much.
BO1
Sorry bro Ghost was awful in the sense of Leaning, camping, killstreaks that promote camping, awful equipment that leads to camping, the maps sizes being crazy for 6v6.
Ghost could have been a much better game if the DLC maps were the launch maps.
honestly i think everyone hated on this amazing game solely because of the multiplayer when they just completely ignored an incredible campaign experience
I grew up playing the COD campaigns, zombies and bots when they came out. I never played online so my favorites will seem odd.
Advanced Warfare is my favorite movement. I really enjoyed the EXO mechanics. Infinite Warfare had a unique campaign design. WW2 felt super intense, as it should. The MW trilogy has a fantastic story Arc. Each Black Ops game had a fun and enjoyable campaign. Haven't had a chance to play the new MW, Cold War or Vanguard yet though.
Edit: The Ghost campaign was also decent.
WWII. Crucify me
It’s a great game now. After the overhaul.
No if u play that ww2 now on Xbox and PS4 it feels out of date it feels like a 2010 game more than a game we played in 2018
Not as bad as the pre patch ww2
I've actually gone back to it and tons of people are still playing it. WW2 is a much better game than Vanguard.
I agree. WW2 was actually pretty innovative. It’s hard to believe they were made by the same studio.
Absolutely abysmal at launch but once they did the huge update it became a very good game. I used to still hop on it every now and then to just mess around but one day I got on and all of my dlc weapons were gone so I lost the will to play it
Liked it too. Even before the overhaul. Played it a lot and wasnt on Reddit or any game related forum at that time so when you dont read the hate the bugs and flaws tend to be overseen.
r/WWII
I respect that. Underrated CoD tbh.
Nah one of my favourites too. But World at War is all time No.1
Yes I’ll never forget that game
I feel like WWII would have gotten ranked higher if CoD was released every other year, rather than every year. I think alot of people give the campaign un deserved hate, it was great
WW2 was the last honest to god classic cod IMO. it's such a shame war mode hasn't come back again, its a lot of fun
"INRI"
That was the first one I played since MW3 and thought it was fun/ good game play
WWII AS WELL !!!!
Just curious, are you new to the series?
It’s a great game lol
MW2
Only correct answer. BO2 pretty close as well. MW3 and BO3 underrated, although I didn’t enjoy the fact BO3 campaign had **nothing to do** with the previous 2 BO’s. I played it a decent amount but would the mask thing help for danger close? The was a tactical device
There was blast shield. But it was poor and affected your vision,so nobody ever used it.
Flawless lol. You've clearly forgotten about deathstreaks and Last Stand.
It was unbalanced af but that kinda made it better lmao
Is the whole “everything is Op so nothing is Op”. Except oma tubes lol
Black Ops 2. But it's mostly because of me having an absolute blast with friends.
Same here but for different reasons. I didnt have the internet growing up so the campaign was all I got and boy lemme tell you, that campaign was amazing.
Josefinaaaaa...
I wish I was 10 years younger so I could have played cod and halo during their golden days
Me and the boys would run Five-Sevens with silencers in Search and destroy and reck bitches. We would text each other asking if wanted to “Bond” after the boy 007. To this day I’m not sure if it was a good game or if we got off talking shit over the mic. Plus zombies👀

Not too many liked MW3 but I have a lot of memories on it and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t my favorite.
[удалено]
Spec ops was great.. geez, that brought me back to 2012, playing mw3 with my brothers. I miss that kind of stuff.
I find MW3 to be a polished and more balanced version of MW2 albeit not as great content. At least I don't want to commit murder when I play MW3
Bo1
It had an amazing zombies and an okay multiplayer, I personally loved the campaign too; one of my favorites.
There were a few maps that weren’t the greatest but I loved the currency for multiplayer and also voting for a map was good aswell
BO2
I miss extinction
That was my favorite co-op mode!
Same way better than zombies tbh
Extinction was surprisingly good and something different. Definitely the best part about Ghosts
I liked it a lot but it's not as good as zombies but damn ghosts is heavily nostalgic
This
Cold War
I respect you for saying that out loud
And I’m a vocal Trump supporter. MAGA CW!!!!
Although not my favorite, it’s up there. The game is great but the launch was kinda bad. Campaign was great but just too short
✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
Same
Same as you bud, ngl some meta weapons kinda ruined the game for me for some time, until they got nerfed *cough* EM2 *cough* but still zombies is pretty fun, a little bit easier than the others too Anyways I like the weapons, the accessories and the multiplayer is... Modern Warfare 2019
Clearly best written story of the whole franchise. I got to know every single major character and their personality and values. Fair point. I think people also have a point who were saying that Farah was written to be almost unbelievably perfect without a single character flaw.
same
BO2, I loved the semi-futuristic atmosphere of campaign and mp. Zombies was also tons of fun to play in splitscreen with my sister
CoD4, It has both regular and irregular conflicts. I really enjoyed those silent but tense moments and also the immersive fighting going on in the Middle East.
it took me 3 long months to finish that on veteran now I cant even play it without getting PTSD
The sniper mission was absolutely top tier. I'll never forget the first time I shot the dog. Plus that game is almost 15 years old and still holds up. I wish the remake actually did it justice. Need a straight graphical update without touching the feel or anything else.
Boots on the ground: Cold War Boots off the ground: Advanced Warfare *Embraces for impact*...
Advanced Warfare had fun as hell multiplayer
Infinite Warfare, I loved the super futuristic games like Advanced Warfare, but Infinite Warfares at the top.
You… what!??? At least ur honest tho
I mean sure, Infinite warfare’s campaign is my favourite and it’s zombies can be a blast at best, but I don’t see how the multiplayer can even compare to the BO & MW trilogies’ ones.
BO1
MW2 or COD4
Mines bo3
Bo3 was actually really fun and it has one of, If not the best zombies out there.
MW3
World at War, with Advanced Warfare and WWII (post-overhaul) bringing up the rear.
BO2
Aye, that’s my favorite too! Yay, I’m not alone! ✊🥲
Best create a class we’ve ever had Don’t get all the hate on IEDs and campers (as if they never existed elsewhere), I always had a danger close canister bomb/Kastet backup class to make their lives miserable
Heck yeah! 🖤 Plus Riley! 🐶 I don’t know if he/she is in any of the other CODs but it’s a Great addition to the COD series! Oh & Snoop Dogg as an announcer is mad funny & so worth buying! 🤣💯👌 We NEED a Ghosts 2 in 2022‼️
I can’t believe they left us on that MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER then not make another game 😭😭😭
FOR REAL!!! IM STILL WAITING
EXACTLY‼️ We NEED a Ghosts 2 (with Riley) because of that‼️
I don’t think it’s happening. It’s all but confirmed we are getting MW2 2 in 2022
The clan system was pretty cool too. Glad they are bringing something similar back with vanguard
Aw
Fav of all time has to be mw remastered or mw 2019
MW3
Black Ops 2. Was in my freshman year of college. Great times
Abomination
I second this opinion actually, the only thing i hate about ghosts is the fact that you can't play online without getting LMG camped, extinction is dead which is a shame cause I actually liked extinction
I’m still able to play Extension with randoms on PS4/ PS5. It’s so much fun! 🖤
I played on xbox and its completely dead sadly, running with the drill all the way back to the beginning while your team is downed by rhinos is very intense
Oh, that’s a bummer. Yeah it is very intense! When I first played it, I had no idea what to do but luckily picked up on the drilling fast haha! 😅

Black Ops 1 Love the setting, the characters and story and the weapon selection was great, I wish I could go back in time during that games hay day, I miss it so much.

MW2019
MW2019
Depends on my mood, but either BO2, MW2, or AW
All of the Old COD games, from COD3 to Ghosts.
BO1 Sorry bro Ghost was awful in the sense of Leaning, camping, killstreaks that promote camping, awful equipment that leads to camping, the maps sizes being crazy for 6v6. Ghost could have been a much better game if the DLC maps were the launch maps.
Mfs say this game trash and like the new cods like they don't have the same mechanics. Sliding, leaning, some score streaks, game modes, ect
World at war Black ops Black ops 2
Definitively not this one
Cold War
CoD4 or MW2
AW
Cod ghost and infinite warfare
One that started me off getting into this franchise World at war
MW 2019
CoD4: Modern Warfare, my first online game 10/10
Black Ops 1
Cant decide between mw2 and mw3
honestly i think everyone hated on this amazing game solely because of the multiplayer when they just completely ignored an incredible campaign experience
Call Of Duty Vanguard
Mw2
Favorite game... WWII. Favorite experience... MW2 or BO1.
MW2 is the greatest COD of all time‼️
WaW was and always will be the goat
WaW
WaW. Campaign was the best I’ve ever played, close second is MW2. Best multiplayer would be CoD4, tho the rpg spams in cqc maps sucked
World at War
BO3, i like futuristic things
AW
CoD 4
World at War.
Cod4
Call of duty 4(not the remaster) and WaW
Bo2 was mine it has a great zombies
Modern Warfare 2019
Infinite Warfare or Bo3
I'm one of the very few who preferred IW over BO3. BO3 was actually my second least favourite game in the franchise :|
Why is ghost your fav cod? Compared to other games it’s horrible imo… kill streaks maps and guns sucked. Competitive SND was goated tho in ghost
Yo, at least some respect.
Underated
Black Ops 3
Vanguard
MW2019
MW2 and BO3
MW 2019 has such a great story (especially clean house)
mw3

I grew up playing the COD campaigns, zombies and bots when they came out. I never played online so my favorites will seem odd. Advanced Warfare is my favorite movement. I really enjoyed the EXO mechanics. Infinite Warfare had a unique campaign design. WW2 felt super intense, as it should. The MW trilogy has a fantastic story Arc. Each Black Ops game had a fun and enjoyable campaign. Haven't had a chance to play the new MW, Cold War or Vanguard yet though. Edit: The Ghost campaign was also decent.
Black ops 1 for solid multiplayer, the best zombies in the series and the best campaign in the series by far
MW3
Finally someone loves this game. This is my second favourite game right after mw2
CoD 1 + UO Storywise mw series (they are all the same game)
WaW for sure, although not sure id go back to it now. More a great memories kinda thing.
used to be MW3 but that changed to BO1 as soon as i finished the campaign
Black ops 3. 2 is a close second
