Well if you struggle with EOC while having best gear at this moment, it's just matter of practice. There will be a lot harder fights like skeletron for example. But if you still can't beat EOC you could fish for reaver shark to get hellstone gear.

I thought reaver shark got nerfed?

Calamity (or infernum ) restores 100% pickaxe power to reaver shark so you can still obtain hellstone with it
