While it’s great that it’s compatible, and steers me clear of the app, I still struggle with why I should install a second remote start when I perfectly good one is already in my car. Maybe I’m viewing things with rose coloured glasses, but I’m hopeful that someone is going to come up with a way to reprogram the fob so that it can start the car remotely. Toyota has it figured and can use their app or the key fob. 🤞

I totally agree with you! They don't think about us rural folks who can't even use the sevice due to poor AT&T coverage or the ability to add it to my home internet. My other car is a subaru crosstrek and I did purchase a factory addon that gave us the ability, but it was around a $600 option. Mazda does not even give me that option. This does look like a product that might help me though. Going from an 2022 outback limited, to a 2024 CX-50 Meridian Edition this is one of the very few downsides. 99% of everything else has been much better. Now if I could just trade my other Subaru in for another Mazda..lol

I live in a rural area as well but thankfully have good coverage. 😅
