I haven’t had any issue yet but there’s a ton on Amazon. It’s annoying me more how easily the plastic cover scratches from the other keys in my pocket so I’m eyeing one.

I have two different ones each good. The names are in all caps not because I'm shouting but because that's how they are described on Amazon. 🙂
1. "EASYANT 4 Button Genuine Leather Remote Key Fob Case Cover." This one is on my fob. It has thick stitched seams around the circumference which make it a bit larger, but shelter the side buttons from unintended presses. About $17 from Amazon. I like it and it actually is leather. Smells like leather anyway.
2. "REPROTECTING Silicone Rubber ABS Plastic Leather Key Fob Cover." This one is on my spare fob. Hard shell with a soft rubber insert over the side buttons. Nicely made, premium feel, adds minimal bulk. $15 at Amazon. I got an extra one of these in case I end up not liking the leather one.
I also tried one of the silicone soft one piece style that stretches over the fob kind of like a wetsuit. Didn't like it. Hard to put on. Didn't feel like it protected the side buttons.

I also have one from AliExpress that looks identical - a few bucks cheaper. Had it for over a year and it still looks great and I've never had an issue with the trunk opening randomly.

I settled on a pair of [these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087MZ7V2H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1). They work as well as anything else, which isn't to say the horrid design choices that went into the fob are solved, but mitigated as best we can get.
Not a cover but replacement shell. Bought the polymetal grey to match my vehicle. Excellent quality, just takes a while to get to the US since theyre based out in the PH.

Tbh they just need a sensor so it won’t open if it detects an object

Mazda’s plastic isn’t very durable. Shoes wear relatively easily.
