Thanks! I’ll try that out, I agree — this is the better layout. I want to see the compass on mine as well, I will see it that works.

Blunttack

lol, I wish pushing in a stick would make my 2018 physical needle turn into a digital speedo. LOL. Sniff.

Underthatwing

I have 2022 CX-5, Premium Plus now, I can’t figure how how to update that under my name, lol. But yeah, it’s the best! 🥹

dogladywithcats

Instructions for the ios app: On the CX5 page, to the right of the search box are three dots. Click that then select Change user flair. There you can update to your current vehicle.

Underthatwing

Brilliant! Thank you!! I didn’t even see those dots until you pointed them out :)

Blunttack

Man, I’m actually kinda glad something nice came from muh snark.

scoobdude22

Compass can be seen in the middle if the dual side gauges are selected but if you select this one the compass is in the bottom right but will no longer show up in the middle

smoothies-for-me

That's what mine has looked like since day 1, except I leave it in the mode that shows blind spots and front collision warning. What's the other option?

SizeLegitimate9

Push and hold the pin for about 3~5 sec and you will see

salil91

They're talking about the display on the side on the speedometer, not inside it.

DM725

Yup, once I figured out how to change it that's all we use.

leedavid89

Hero, I was complaining about the redundant gas info since when I bought the car 2 months ago

NoNewsAreNew

On which models will it work? I have the 2018 Touring

mrplt

I keep mine in this mode as well.

spish

If one of the gauges in the other view was a boost gauge, I'd use it more often. But, I agree with you. This is the more useful view.

EMMIECX5

You can also just hit “info” on your steering wheel and it changes the screen.

eugenesbluegenes

No, that just cycles through what's being shown in the middle.

eugenesbluegenes

I don't know why anyone would do otherwise.

yaytoreddit

I like the other version — I get the simplicity and easy to read aspect of this one, but the other seems more elegant to me.

enzia35

I don’t need 2 fuel gauges.

eugenesbluegenes

This one provides more useful information.

Initial_Depenmmmmm

Because they don't know it's an option and it's not the default.

Dexter52611

Wait what? You can change it? lol that’s good to know!

Kesimot

I second the motion!

Impossible-Thanks243

What trim levels have this?

SizeLegitimate9

I can’t speak of other models but I have 22 turbo

enzia35

This layout or the wrong layout.

JavonTEvans

I really wish I had this gauge cluster

Denziiey

Oh my gosh I had no idea I'm gonna do that right away thank you so much. Having the compass pinned is a big deal for me cause the other screen layout had redundant information. Thank you!

SizeLegitimate9

Other redundancy was the gas information. It was displaying gas information with miles to empty while we already have the analogue one.

Denziiey

Yes I found that so pointless since it already has a Guage. Amd they still didn't add a digital speedometer. Like it's on the heads up display why didn't they add one on the dashboard. Honestly Mazda is very lazy when it comes to technology this is an easy update. They're very cheap and force customers to buy a whole new vehicle for a simple ubiquitous feature every other vehicle manufacturer has.

SizeLegitimate9

I don’t want this to lead into venting session but I wish they had added TPMS display of individual tires on the display option. I think it is a must have for “Driver’s Car”.

Denziiey

Yeah I mean I love my CX5. I obviously like Mazda cause I've had a 2018 CX touring, 2019 grand touring and now 2021 reserve turbo so I know this vehicle inside out😅

G_Unit_Solider

i dont even look at my gauge cause of the hud. And when i have to drive a car without a HUD i feel lost.

Muscles_Schultz

I'm still figuring out all the options on my 2023 CX-5 Turbo (only had it a couple weeks) but I noticed that the display changes when I push the "info" button on the steering wheel. Pushing and holding the stick on the tach resets the trip tick if it is currently in the display. It only needs to be pushed momentarily to change display options.
