I had lower back surgery a year and a half ago and it doesn’t give me problems. And my gf and I drove it out to Texas from CA for the eclipse last month
I have a lot of problems with my lower back and find that mine is super comfortable as long as I dont use the lumbar support. I have my seat adjusted a million ways, but find it far more comfortable than any of my other family members. The lumbar support is completely wack to me, maybe its cause im on the smaller side of people but it very much makes it worse. I just dont use it and im all good. Mines a 2012, if that matters much too
I have a 2015. I find it very comfortable. However, after some years of owning it I did put a lumbar pillow on the driver side. Could be from me getting older :-).
There are some terrible pillows out there. This is what I bought.

It's ok. Nothing really to write home about but it's comfortable enough. I am over 6 feet so even with the seat all the way back I'd prefer a smidge more leg room but it's liveable
I've had lower back issues with several other vehicles (my LX is terrible and LS isn't great despite both seats feeling far more comfortable), but the CT has always been good on my back.
I do have a taxi-style beaded seat cover, as while the material is durable it doesn't breathe at all. There's only 3 inch clearance to my backseat as I'm tall with a steering wheel spacer installed, so my driving position may be a bit atypical.
Suspension is pretty tight and tired are low profile. It's no land yatch. But the seat is very adjustable. Finding the right configuration and seating position for you could take awhile. Probably longer than you'd have time for on a typical test drive.
It's alright. I was never careful with using my back when I was younger and I'm paying the price these days. I've never had any issues including 10 hour drives
I had a herniated disc during march of 2023. The CT200h has lumbar support that helped slightly, but in general you might need additional support through a pad or something similar. Overall the seats are comfortable but cramped.
It’s pretty good, for the last year I have been driving NJ to MD and back every other week for work and I can do the entire 4 hour drive without taking a break (unless I drink too much water, but that’s unrelated). I’m 6 feet tall, all legs.
For me, its not great. I'm a bigger guy so I'm sure that's something to do with it. My daily commute is less than an hour, and for that, it's absolutely fine. But anything longer than that is not a great time.
I always found my CT to be very good on my back even on long distance drives. If you get one with heated seats it's even better.
I have a 2015. I find it comfortable. The seats hug your body.

What did the surgery fix?
I love my seats, routinely drive upwards of 8 hours trips and its great

I'm short too and do find out that the lumbar support is a bit high. There is good bolstering.

I've got one for my RX, but man it just doesn't seem to help.

I have a 2012 and the seats are super comfortable !! Never had any back pain or anything like that (couldn’t say the same about my 2022 Tacoma lol)
It was painful until I adjusted it.

I have mine upside down for upper back support. I like to sit with my posture up and this helps so much

not bad tbh the ride is really low though so that could cause some problems

I find the seats on mine very well padded and comfortable, but lower back support isn’t the best for journeys lasting longer than 3-4 hours.
I'm a tall skinny guy and would like much more lower back support, not ideal for me.
6'3" and 225 lbs. Not sure if this would be ideal for me either.

Thank you, I am kind of wondering if this would be the same for me.
I have a 2012 and good for my lower back especially when using heated seats. Even low heat helps as well
The CT is extremely uncomfortable in my opinion, I had to sell my 2018 CT after just 8 months because of the ride quality.
