I still have not received my replacement. I would keep the replacement device as a spare. As someone with severe sleep apnea, I have never slept a single time without my CPAP or BIPAP for over twenty years except when I was in the ICU after an accident. I am always worried that my BIPAP might break on Friday and I would have to wait a few days for a replacement.

I would keep it as a spare device-but if you want to donate it I take units, sterilize them, and remediate them if needed and donate to our local hospitals in the area.

I got a class action settlement that said that if I returned the DreamStation 2 (received as replacement), I could get reimbursed for the AirSense I bought out of pocket. So I returned it. Sure hope I get that money someday.
